About press releases: Actually, they can be distributed in advance, and they're then "embargoed" until a set hour. If you play by the rules, then you can work on the story before then, but you can't actually break the news until the predetermined time.

Thing is: "Josh" pretended to know info, but his Top Three predictions were wrong. (Substitute David Hawley (DH) for Amy Kate (AK).)

Makes me wonder if "Josh" knew that news was forthcoming, but he didn't know the specific details. ... Or, maybe it was all coincidental!

Sure thing! And, thank you, Ricky! (I might add that the "embargoed" advance-release situation isn't the norm, but -- for info that's breaking after-hours (at the stroke of midnight) -- it wouldn't surprise me. Then again, receiving the release at the stroke of midnight would adequately explain any lag time in promptly posting the story, because it would have be written first!)
