The Title Co. Has my Closing pprs..

Well, still nothing from the seller. I pull the plug on the 8th and start the long process over again. If they were going to do this I just wish they had told me earlier and I could have started over. Both TSS and Title Co., have reached out to the seller.

Fingers still crossed.

Anybody had this happen? Am I out any costs (closing etc.)?

Your contract should spell out the terms of ending the contract and you should review that. But unless there's something strange you should not be out anything other than your time and efforts b/c it's the seller who has defaulted on the conditions of the contract.

I hate to tell you all this, but, I sent in my closing paperwork on a Monday..
Closed on Wednesday morning..
By Wednesday afternoon the contract showed in my account ( points not correct, though )
On Thursday my points were correct and I reallocated. :thumbsup2

That is just mean! Ugh, the closing co has had our check and paperwork for a week today. Haven't heard a peep yet....

Well apparently docs sent on Thursday from the seller (two day mail -thanks again).

TSS Store and in my case more specifically Magic Title Co. were spectacular. Kept me somewhat calm as time went by. Continued to reach out to the sellers. Jason at TSS checked to insure points promised were still available, as I got a little nervous about my sellers.

Hopefully closed next week.

Tough part is I want to use these points at the seven month window. I'm at BLT from 11/8-11/12 and want to have a selection for the second half of the vacation. If points were available 4/12 would be the day.

Title co. has had my check for 2 weeks and heard nothing from title co or TSS. Emailed yesterday to find out that the seller messed up something with their paperwork and that they would follow up with them.
A little bothered that I had to follow up...I am paying people to do that for me.
And don't sellers want their $$$?
I need to close soon so I can book for next March. At this rate, it may not happen in time and that will really annoy me.
OK, I'm done venting now.

I was suprised to that the sellers weren't equally as anxious as I was. I love Disney and DVC, but it always hurts to write a big (for me) check. If I was receiving that check you can believe I would return that contract the day I had it.

Good luck.

The title company has had our paperwork and check since Friday--no word yet.

I was hoping to get a reservation made or at least wait-listed at our home resort (VWL) for the week between Christmas and New Year's...

I know that this is the busiest time of the year at WDW--but the points are the highest, too. Oh well--nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Title Company received our paperwork and check yesterday, and we're waiting on the sellers. I'm amazed how many sellers are taking so long. Don't they want their money?? Hoping for a fast closing so I can make our reservations for next March!

We're in the same boat. We got our closing papers last Monday. Went to the bank Tuesday and took care of everything. Called the Title Co yesterday, and nothing from the seller yet. We were assured that they know the seller and he is in a hurry. Keep checking our email, but nothing yet. Never mind that the Title Co never confirmed that they received our money and paperwork - we called and confirmed it! FRUSTRATED!

We were submitted to Disney on 3/19 and passed ROFR on 4/10. We received our closing documents today! We have signed them and sent them back to the title company. We are getting our funds together to be wired over now. I'll let you know how long it takes for the seller to finish on their end.

Keep in mind the sellers have to have their paper work notorized before mailing it back. I am sure it will all go smooth! Good luck! Once title company gets sellers paper work it is quick about a week and the points are in your account!

I just got word--we closed yesterday! :woohoo:

Just got the news yesterday that we are officially closed. Thanks for the well wishes! Now...when can I call MS? I know they will most likely not be in tomorrow, but if I have a free minute, I may just try! A few people on this forum said they were in the system quickly. I can only hope the same is true for me! Man I use way too many exclamation points, but I can't help it - I'm too excited!!!!

Congratulations! We closed on a Friday and were in the system the following Friday. We were told it could be 7-10 business days, though. I think it is worth trying to call sooner but I would not get my hopes up just in case.

Call away, it never hurts! Congrats it is so exciting. We were members so we just kept checking on-line. Time to book your next vacation, yea!

In a similar boat. It's been about 2 weeks since the title co received my closing papers and financial transaction. Haven't heard a word other than the confirmation that it was received.

In my last purchase, the title co and the reseller notified us every step of the way....with this one, I have a different title co and different resale co and I'm finding that I'm not getting the occasional email updates that gave me the nice warm fuzzies on my first purchase.

I've checked my points online and it's not showing the additional contract yet so I guess I'll make a phone call next week...see what the status is on my closing.

I hope everyone else who is waiting along with me closes quickly...

My case was more the opposite in that people were waiting for me. It took 10 days for me to just get a check in hand to send. The paperwork arrived at the title company mid day on Wed and had email Friday morning we had closed :cool1:
