Has anyone used them to add on to their DVC membership? We are looking to add on but was curious about doing a re-sale.
DO they close in a timely manner, how soon after you close can you use your points. Any help or advice would be great...

TTS handled things very professionally. but they would be limited by the seller's responsiveness to some degree. i think it only took me 7 weeks or so to close and get into the system but it can take longer. 8-10 weeks is probably typical...

I have nothing but RAVE reviews for the TS Store.
We purchased our contract there and our hand was held every step of the way. I was always updated with what was happenening and always very nice and professional.

Yes, I bought a small contract though them earlier this year. No complaints but the points in reservation statis went away. The yearly points I have already made my reservation with them.

After 4 purchases directly through Disney, we have just finished a purchase through The Timeshare Store and have nothng but good to say about them. Very professional, quick responses to questions. Of course, they can't control the amount of time the seller takes to return paperwork, but our experience has been very positive.

Yup bought and sold 1 contract each through them, they were great! Call them and ask whatever questions you have, they are very accommodating and NOT pushy! I was leery at 1st when buying, I think they sensed that and answered all questions, no pressure and actually e-mailed the additional info I requested. Good luck

The Timeshare Store is one of the earliest sponsors of Disboards.

The do have a good reputation on the boards. I have used them before for purchases and resales and have been pleased with their help and knowledge. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Bought and sold through them and really was extremely satisfied. They were always quick to respond to questions and kept in touch the whole way.

As far as time to close and have use of points, it all depends on how fast the sellers and buyers return paperwork (both offer and final docuemnts), how long Disney takes to ROFR--they have 30 days--and how long it takes Disney to get it up and loaded into the system.

I think right now, most people are reporting an average of 2 months. But, there was a huge rush to buy prior to the resale changes--now that those are all passed and either closed or close to closing, IMO, things should improve in the timeline.

I am in the initial stages of a 160 point purchase at BLT and I have to say their customer service is exceptional. I have made 5 phone calls and have never been put on hold once. Any of their associates will take the time to answer your questions even if the person you are connected to isn't the same person who made the sale. They are open 7 days a week so there is always someone to talk to.

I think that the most stressful part of a major purchase like this is the periods where nothing is happening. When you are waiting for the next step in the process it is easy to get anxious and start to worry that the deal could fall apart. But the associates are always in contact as soon as something happens so you always feel like you are in control.

I am another satisfied customer. I am currently buying a BWV contract through them and both Scott at TTS and their closing company have been great. Very quick to reply to emails which is great when buying from abroad (UK) as timezones make it easier than phone.
