Do you have to wait to get your member number in the mail or can you call the accounting department daily after the deed was recorded to try and book?? I'm sorry I'm just so confused what the correct answer is lol!!
I was planning on waiting 10 days once we were showing on the OCC site to call and ask nicely for our number- I couldn't resist calling early so I called at 7 days- member accounting gave me my member number and transferred me to IT/member administration- they DID NOT give me my log in info since I had no points loaded (the lady said since I bought resale this could take a MONTH). The next day I tried again and talked to administration (I think thats what its called) and nicely explained that I had my member number and just needed my log in info- I was honest and told her that the previous day they wouldn't give it to me since no points loaded. I also said I didn't want to annoy them and call all the time which is why I wanted my log in info, points or not- and the AWESOME person gave me my log in information! I tried logging in as a new member and it didn't work- I called back and the lady told me that since I have a MDE account already set up with the email I provided DVC I had to instead go to the part that says LINK a membership- that worked! Your log in will auto default to your MDE log in info (password and all) once you put in the activation code- I logged in yesterday (now 8 days from closing and recording) and still no points- but I could check availability. Today I logged in and BAM points loaded and I was able to book our trip!!!
Also this was a resale contract and I am a new member to DVC.
So- I honestly think it depends on who you talk to and when. I admit being able to check availability and not book since I didn't have points was a bit self torture for that one day.
Have not received anything in the mall yet from DVC
My Disney experience. The app for FP+, dining reservations, etcetera.
Sorry guys, I have read through this 500 times and am hoping someone could just clear things up for me.....
Once we officially close....when could I get my member number and begin searching on the DVC online site? Do I get that immediately or do I have to wait to get it in the mail? When cal I call for that? I know nothing is garenteed but I am looking for ballpark times!!
this waiting game is TORTUREEE lol!!!
Once you get your member number, they should transfer you to the department that can set up your online access. You'll need your Club ID and Activation Code. If they points aren't already loaded, it could take 4 hours to 3 days for them to show up.Thank you so much for responding... And once I'm "in the system" will that mean I can browse the dvc website? And will I have to wait additional time until my points are loaded from when I get the number?

Getting real annoyed at Brenda from Magic Vacation Title. She doesn't reply to emails (has ignored emails both from us as the buyers and Jerry from TSS). Our sellers were taking one last trip ending November 5, so we had a delayed closing scheduled. Sellers returned everything before their trip. When they got back Jerry confirmed that everything was set for closing either Friday or Monday, Tuesday at the latest. It didn't close, so he emailed Brenda, who finally responded and said it was closing yesterday. Now here we are on Thursday and Brenda is saying "within 24 hours." Her lack of communication and inaccurate information is getting on my nerves. I let Jerry know for our next contract I do not want to deal with Magic Vacation Title.
