The Timeshare Store timeline

Glad your experience went well, we didn't have JP, but we did have Nancy and I can say follow up from both lacked. And as far as professionalism from Nancy, ahhh NOT. All I can say is I'm glad we closed and Im done with both parties. We do want to purchase another resale, but would have to think twice about that route again.

Aww sorry your experience wasn't that great :(

Glad it went through though and closed properly!

I'm currently in ROFR with TSS and I must say, the difference in service so far has been much better than Fidelity. It's nice seeing the quick turnaround times here.

After a little over 2 months from start to finish, we got our member number and booked our first Disney trip as members tonight!:cool1:

We used Jason from The Timeshare Store and Brenda at Magic Vacation Title. Both were really helpful and super responsive. Here are our dates:

Passed ROFR: 8/21 (+29)
Closing docs: 9/09 (+19)

*Called member accounting on Thursday and was told the resale was still in process. Called back today and success - the woman was super nice and gave me my account # - she told me it was setup over the weekend. Then I asked to be transferred to IT and he was really helpful. Gave me the club ID and activation code and banked my 2014 points for me too!:thumbsup2

Got our member number today - yay! that is awesome Silligoose

I am still waiting to close. I am Canadian and they were having trouble with my bank account. Anyway..... finally solved it last week! Now we are on the road to the finish line! We are looking forward to getting that card in hand! :goodvibes

So glad you got everything sorted!! Shouldn't be too long now. Have a wonderful trip in a few weeks. Hopefully you can get your card while you're there! We booked AKV for April so we're psyched. Can't wait to hear how your trip is!

For those who were able to get the member number from member accounting, were they able to find your account by looking up your name? I called today and chose option three for accounting and then I chose option 4 under member accounting. They could not locate my name, so I'm guessing not in the system yet. Deed was recorded on 9/19.

Should be very soon … our deed was recorded on 9/17th and contract finally showed up in our account yesterday.

The first time I called my name wasn't in the system and they looked up the sellers name as well. She told me then that the resale wasn't finished in the system. The second time I called I got everything. Our deed was recorded 9/16. If I were you I'd try again tomorrow afternoon and then Friday again.

I was able to get my member number today and I got my account set up and booked our first stay! It took 69 days from the day our offer was made until I received our member number.

Congrats! 69 days for us too. Feels great to have it completed doesn't it?

Now I have a question. We were told that our purchase will be final around the beginning of December. We want to go to WDW in January. We don't really care where we stay. My question is once the purchase goes through I still have to wait a week or 2 for a member number so I can book? Am I timing this correctly? I just want to make sure I can get in somewhere but in mid-January I can't think everything will be booked....

We already had a trip booked months ago for Halloween and were planning to stay off site the night we fly in...were able to land a 1br villa at Grand Floridian instead! That beats the heck out of the Econolodge :thumbsup2

You'll definitely be cutting it very very close, and likely only Saratoga will have availability.

Are you still in the ROFR process?

It **generally** takes at least 14 days after closing to get you member number but for first time buyer it can be a little longer. And some members are waiting up to 3 weeks to get closing documents after passing ROFR.
