royal blue I'm trying to see when the quietest time to go to WDW is . I think i narrowed it down to either the third week of september or the first week of december ,but i dunno which one to choose.I'm trying to see when the lines aren't long and when there isnt alot of people there? Also, if u think another time is good tell me!::yes::

I think September is less crowded than December but I would base it more on what kind of weather you'd like to vacation in as these two months can be VERY different weather-wise. September is still quite hot (which I LOVE) and December can either be warm, cool, or freezing. Also, do you have an interest in seeing the holiday decorations? Remember that there isn't much else going on in the World in September, and everything closes pretty early.

See it doesnt really bother me if i see the decorations or not . All im looking for is a trip i can get my moneys worth by not standing in huge lines. Like i just want to walk up to a ride and walk- right on or wait 5-10mins.

I would still go with December, because the atmosphere and weather is much better! The crowds are not that much different, and are still manageable. Whether you get your money's worth is up to you, not how many people are in the park that day.
Disney has a tendency to run attractions at a certain level depending on the attendance levels. So, for instance in Sept. when we were there they were running two cars for Rock 'n Roller Coaster and there was a 10 minute wait. Essentially a walk-on, because you walked right into the studio. During our trip in Oct., the crowds were heavier, and there were more people in line for RnR Coaster, but they were running 4 cars, so the wait was about the same. The hours are generally longer and the attractions are usually not down for rehab in December versus September.
As always, your mileage may vary!

We've done both! We just went last Sept. 13-21; but our usual trip is the first or second week of December. September was definitely less crowded; but it was HOT! (and I live in the DEEP south!) Lines did seem to take a little less time (especially the ones in Fantasyland) than on our December trips. All said, I would still much rather go in December. I love the Christmas atmosphere and I NEED to go to MVMCP! princess: If you really don't care about the atmosphere and you don't mind the heat, you might want to give September a try.

We went the 3rd week of september 3 years ago. Crowds were light but it was very hot. We just got back (we were there Nov. 16-20) and I would definitly go again the week before Thanksgiving week. The weather was great and the crowds were very thin. We had a great time!

I've been there the last week in September and it was very hot and humid and rainy. I wouldn't go that time again. I've been there the first week in November, a couple times, and the weather was perfect! I'll be there, this time next week...I'm hoping for great weather like November. We're going again in June, only because of my kids' school schedules, otherwise, we would be going in the fall.

I would go in December. The christmas decorations are up, and the park is alive with music and entertainment. September is dead. No excitment!

If your looking for fast lines or no lines you might want to consider Jan. We've been 5 times in Jan and really enjoyed it with no or hardly any wait times. Usually nice days and cool nights. Just another option to make your decison harder.

i've been in september, november and january and i agree with fmed845, january has the shortest lines. we never waited for anything!

also, us/ioa is nearly deserted. we walked on the hulk, front row, numerous times.

there are less people, and the parks close earlier but you get SO much more done ::yes:: plus the weather is good, jeans and tshirts with a light jacket. we definately plan to go back in january sometime. (our next trip is in june and i'm scared! LOL)

We've done several Sept. trips and are about to leave for our second early Dec. trip. I definately like the overall atmosphere around Xmas time better. I like being in the parks after dark, and the MVMCP. I do think Sept. was a little less crowded, and it was perfect if you want to spend time at the water parks. You get the advantage of both being open, and having low crowds. If you want more of the main park experiences, I would go with December as crowd size seemed to be not much different, and the cooler weather made it more enjoyable for walking around. If you want to get wet (both from sweat and the water parks) and really want to appreciate the water rides, then I would go Sept.
