The Tale of the Grow Walk ….Hunh?

I remember those cute little boys from your cruise report. It's funny that your cousin, the pediatrician, is giving her son Skittles. I guess I'm like her a bit. That's why Hunter started eating Little Debbie Fudge Rounds for breakfast many years ago. It was all that I could get him to eat. Now, he's ventured out a bit but that was all that I could get down him back then.

We've never tried Ohana for breakfast mostly because John can't stand Stitch. :sad2: Everything you had looked really good though. Well, except for the bread with raisins. I'd have picked those out too.

Yep, sometimes you just can't get kids to eat. Claire would rather starve than eat something she doesn't like....Luckily she likes more than just skittles. :rotfl2:

I know a lot of people don't like him...we don't like him...but we don't hate him either. He's Ok with us. I really think Lilo is a little more annoying....and kind of scary looking!

Oops forgot to add that I laughed at the vision of you two cars zooming across the lanes of traffic to get to the Polynesian. That's sooooo something that I would do. And, your Dad and his "I'm not with them comment". I'm sorry but he's just too funny with his comments. That's what my Mama would say too. You just gotta :sad2: at 'em.

Yeah, Thank goodness Skip wasn't with me, because he would've had to put his 2 cents in....and tell me how he is going to die at any moment!
If you could just watch my dad....and not be involved with all the stuff he says and does....you would die laughing....but it's not so fun when you have to deal with it.

That was so nice of your cousin to give you dad her extra dining credit!

That really stinks that her whole family was sick at one point or another on their trip. That is like my worst fear for a Disney trip. That I come down really sick on my trip and have to miss park days!

It was nice...even if he didn't realize what was going on. :rotfl:
I have been there with sickness too. many ions ago when I took my 2 older kids to Disney and Universal...I think around 1996 or 97...I drove down and my Mom didn't want me to go alone, so she came with us. Our last full day was at Universal and I wasn't there very long at all and we got in line for Jaws, which was having issues, so the line was a standstill and all of a sudden I just got so sick and took off running to the bathroom. I was praying to the porcelon Gods! After a bit, my mom got out of line with the kids and they found me in the bathroom....and Paige comes in yelling
Mom, are you in here?" yes...."Are you puking?" :scared: :lmao:
I ended up going back to the hotel and my Mom took the kids back to Universal.
Thank goodness mom came as the next afternoon we were starting home and I was just so weak I could only drive an hour or 2 at a time.
It was a long ride home.
And then our first 2 trips with Claire...she got sick...though I know the 2nd trip with her she got sick because she licked a pole on the bus....crazy kid!!!
:rolleyes2

Glad you had a better experience this time at 'Ohana - and that was very thoughtful of Katie to gift you one of their dining credits!

It was much better and Katie is so nice. Growing up, we really weren't close because she is like 9 or 10 years younger than me, but as adults, she is probably the only one I am even remotely close to on that side of the family.

Soon the characters started making their way around.

See Luke in this next picture? He was fascinated with Claire’s autograph book and kept grabbing it and at one point he “autographed” it for her as well. LOL

Stitch was pretty entertaining!

Our next visitor was Pluto.

I love this next picture.

Luke was really curious about Pluto.

With breakfast done, we all agreed it was a very good meal and we were now stuffed. The bills came out and once again, Dad makes some comment about not being with Katie and he is not on the dining plan. Now he has lived with women his whole life…and you would think if we told him this was how it was, he would just shut up and do it…nope he has to ask questions. Luckily the waitress wasn’t paying attention to him.

We all said our goodbyes and Claire and I grabbed the monorail to Magic Kingdom. I think Mom and Dad were using the bathroom and then heading over too. Katie was going back to check on Thad.

And we scan our bands to get in and the CM asks if I had tickets left because it shows them all used. Um yes, just picked up my ticket yesterday…I have 4 days left. So he says he will reset it and I am good to go.

Yep…. It was crowded here today too.

Lovely cranes all during our trip.

So we are walking down the sidewalk and this bozo in a scooter starts honking and he is driving like a mad man and runs into us and several other people. I say in my not so nice voice “EXCUSE YOU”. I mean if I could go faster, don’t you think I would? And just turns and glares at me…sorry buddy…I can win awards for glaring and you don’t intimidate me at all.
So we watch him honk all the way down the side walk and still not making much more headway than us.

Lovely walls up all over the place here. We had to weave in and out of people to get down Main Street and these walls seem to make people walk slower.

There goes Scooter guy! Yeah look how far ahead he got by ramming into people….JERK!

We kept moving and of course there wasn’t much of a line for the dole whips, right when we are too full to get one.

Shuffle, shuffle.

I believe we were heading towards Pirates, but the line was just too long…but take a look at the upper left of this next picture.

Not sure what is up there, but people were coming out.

Even this new adventure had long lines for sign up and we never did try it.

Claire has a one track mind and Splash Mountain was all she was thinking about.

We got in line, and I don’t remember the exact wait time, but I think it was 30-45 minutes.

We got in line just in time as it grew quite longer after us.

We talked with the people in front of us…who were from Ohio as well, who were staying offsite and didn’t understand the whole FP+. I tried to explain a bit of it. They weren’t impressed with it and I can see why since they couldn’t get any till they got to the parks….and let’s just say those kiosks lines were MEGA long.

The line moved fairly fast, but I think we still waited at least whatever the posted wait time was.

Those Stitch photos just made my day. I know that a lot of people don't like him or are indifferent to him, but I love that little rascal. What a shame about the crowds and I just had to shake my head about the guy on the scooter.

Looks like you had an awesome breakfast!

I am really curious what was in the building people were coming out of. Must have been some kind of a tour but which one?

I've never been a Stitch fan either, but we had an AWESOME character interaction with him when Michael was just a toddler. He played a game of keep away with both kids, having taken Michael's pacifier and running away with it. He played with them for a good solid 15 minutes, running around with them in Tomorrowland and making them laugh. He then took some great photos with them, hugged them both and went on his way. I actually teared up, but it was just like a WDW commercial.

I figured you would like those pictures!
It was so crazy busy...believe me if i could honk my way through and gotten away with it ...I would have...but you have to be respectful and just shuffle along.

Breakfast was good!
I know...It was kind of neat seeing them come out....but got me curious.

We have interaction like that with Chip and Dale and you are right....it's just like a commercial and so wonderful!

Great photos with the characters.

I truly feel bad for those staying off site and trying to get FP selections. There's got to be hardly no chance at all to get the Mine Ride or Anna & Elsa.

I'm not a huge P/F fan, but Agent Perry coming out on that boat might just make me one! That is just too darn cute! :cool1:

I guess nothing should surprise me in this age of FP+, but I just can't even imagine waiting for the Mexican boat ride. :faint: It sure is a brave new world out there. Too funny that the kid helped translate "no flash photography" for you. :lmao: I bet her got an earful after the ride! :rotfl:

We also have a lot of fun with the photos on Spaceship Earth. I guess we're just easily entertained? :rotfl: Great super cool photos though! :thumbsup2 ........ even if you don't have eyes! :rotfl:

I could have totally made friends with Mr. Jose. I think your photos just elevated it to a "must do" on our next trip to the World!

So in the course of your day, someone got you free admission to Discover Cove, and someone else gave you a voucher for a free photo. Sweet! :cool1:

Too funny that all Katie's boy would only eat Skittles. :rotfl: Next time I fight one of life's little battles, I'm going to remember Katie the pediatrician giving her little boy Skittles. :) And I'm not going to be as hard on myself! :lmao:

Loving the Ohana pictures. But I swear Mickey had that same shirt on when we were last there in 2001. Isn't it time for him to put on a clean one? :lmao:

I am going to take a quick break from this Trip Report to post some personal pictures. As many of you know, my oldest daughter, Paige is expecting a baby girl in Oct. Over the weekend we took some maternity pictures. We went to a local metropark and then did some in the back yard. She had some things in mind and I just let her decide and gave a few suggestions and we snapped probably around 100 pictures.

Here are a few of those....and I am still working on editing the rest, but I am almost done..but these are a few of my favorites.

Urg! I can't stand rude scooter people! When my oldest was a baby, a lady in scooter came inches from hitting me while holding her in Mouse gear. I looked at her shocked, but she just glared back at me like "why the heck are you in my way?"

There seemed to be a lot of refurbishment going on during y'alls trip. Was the crane for the Mine Trains or something else?

I'm dreading the lines for our next trip because of this FP+ thing.

Love, love, love the maternity photos!:cloud9:

I bet you can't wait to get your hands on that baby! :goodvibes

Yuck for rude people. :crazy2: What other reaction did he expect you to have, when he was running into you?

The pictures of Paige are just gorgeous. Very, very nice. princess:

Well it did change shortly after I left and they now can pick them at 30 days, but for the popular stuff, they really don't have a lot of choices at all.

I'm not a huge P/F fan, but Agent Perry coming out on that boat might just make me one! That is just too darn cute! :cool1:

Sadly I think FR+ is here to stay. So many people are having issues, yet, there are a lot who love it...those who haven't had an issue with it yet. Disney will only hear those people. ;)

We also have a lot of fun with the photos on Spaceship Earth. I guess we're just easily entertained? :rotfl: Great super cool photos though! :thumbsup2 ........ even if you don't have eyes! :rotfl:

Yeah....it doesn't take much to entertain us either....and it was so funny how obssessed Claire was over my picture with no eyes....she wanted one too. :rotfl2:

I could have totally made friends with Mr. Jose. I think your photos just elevated it to a "must do" on our next trip to the World!

He is one of my best Disney friends! :thumbsup2

So in the course of your day, someone got you free admission to Discover Cove, and someone else gave you a voucher for a free photo. Sweet! :cool1:

Ummm....Yeah! :rotfl: Discovery Cove was just a tour though....I sure wish it was a whole day there....it is beautiful.

Too funny that all Katie's boy would only eat Skittles. :rotfl: Next time I fight one of life's little battles, I'm going to remember Katie the pediatrician giving her little boy Skittles. :) And I'm not going to be as hard on myself! :lmao:

I had a time where Claire would only eat hotdogs....if she ate at all. She would go days without hardly a bite and then when she ate....pretty much only hotdogs...and she survived. I figured as long as she wasn't sick and frail...she must be doing ok.

Loving the Ohana pictures. But I swear Mickey had that same shirt on when we were last there in 2001. Isn't it time for him to put on a clean one? :lmao:

I hope he is at least washing it daily!! :scratchin

I have found some really rude scooter people over the years. It's like they get on them and then feel entitled to something. Of course there are a lot who are super nice too and you don't notice them at all...but the bad ones leave a bad taste in your mouth.

There seemed to be a lot of refurbishment going on during y'alls trip. Was the crane for the Mine Trains or something else?

They had been stripping the castle paint and repainting it. You may notice the peaks are kind of grey in some of my pictures and as the week goes on they become blue again.
And there is still a ton of construction going on at the World....some of us are calling it wall city because they have a wall up pretty much every where.

I'm dreading the lines for our next trip because of this FP+ thing.

Yep, I found many lines to be longer due to the who FP+ thing.

Love, love, love the maternity photos!:cloud9:

I bet you can't wait to get your hands on that baby! :goodvibes

Thanks! I am sure she is going to be cute as a button. We went to another ultra sound last night and she has fat cheeks...and looks a lot like Paige.

Aw! Look how beautiful Paige looks! Gorgeous photos.

Thanks

Yuck for rude people. :crazy2: What other reaction did he expect you to have, when he was running into you?

The pictures of Paige are just gorgeous. Very, very nice. princess:

I know...people like that amaze me. A few years back we were walking out of lights motor action and one guy was on a scooter and just kept honking the whole walk out as he wanted to pass everyone. There was just no where for him to go, but I guess he was more important than everyone else.

Thanks!

The maternity photos are absolutely beautiful.

Corinna

Thanks

Jen, I love the maternity photos...very nice. :thumbsup2

Thank you

Beautiful maternity pics. I bet Claire just can't wait to be an Auntie!

Claire is a little iffy on all of this. I think once the baby comes she will be a little more excited....but I do think she is thinking of this baby as a rival right now. We did go to an ultrasound last night and the baby stuck her finger right up her nose and Claire did think that was hilarious.

Time to board.

As we pass these guys coming down the hill I pray we miss the splash from them and I just BARELY did….thank goodness. I am not a fan of getting wet….Claire on the other hand loves it and I know she was hoping I would get splashed.
