The Tale of the Grow Walk ….Hunh?

What a fun update. Great shots of Mickey as he came to save the day.

And I love the fireworks pictures.

It looks like a good time at the Dance Party and loved the smile on Claire's face.

It's always nice to have Mickey around to save the day! :cool1:

Great update, Jen!

I love the pirate show on the classic ships, so much more fun with Mickey ziplining in. ;)

Didn't you go to the pirate buffet or is there none on a three night cruise?

Another busy day! I felt sorry for Claire as it was only her second snorkeling trip. But really nice that she made a friend. And now I get the second part of your trip report title :rotfl:

I am all caught up again.

I have yet to sail on the Dream and Fantasy, but we both loved Cabanas on the Magic. This is so much better than Topsiders used to be.

When we were on the Magic in December 2013, I was not sure about those sunshades at all. I just felt that they took up too much deck space. I did however love the kids' clubs when I visited on the first afternoon. I also was on the whole impressed with the After Hours area, but O'Gills does not do anything for me.

I am glad that you managed to find Skip and that Claire got a swim.

Daisy's De Lites used to be Goofy's Galley.

The sail away drink is the Bon Voyage, which is Strawberry Daiquiri with Pina Colada mix. I rather like them, but then I love everything with coconut.

We had Brent on the first few cruises and he is great.

It looked really windy on that first night. I am glad that Dumbo turned up.

I loved Carrioca's, but like you, I was not convinced about the menu.

I love wandering around the ships during the early morning before most people are up.

Nassau looks so pretty from the ship. Loved the photos of the Atlantis. We have not been to the one in Nassau, but have many happy memories from the one in Dubai. If we do end up in Nassau this year, we may go to the Atlantis for the day.

This looked pretty choppy for snorkelling. Love the coral and fish photos. Chankanaab in Cozumel is great for snorkelling.

Claire was brave doing the Aqua Dunk. Graham did it a few times and really enjoyed it, but I had one look at it from the top and took the stairs down.

I do love seeing Mickey zip lining!
They did have the buffet but we were just way too stuffed to even think about going.

Claire was a trooper but it was hard snorkeling with all the waves.
I was so happy she made a friend.
Skip says Hunh...a LOT!!!!

Yeah I am not sure about those shaded areas either.
The kids clubs look so nice now.
I never made it to the night clubs at night, but Skip seemed to enjoy them
:rotfl2:

Daisy's De Lites used to be Goofy's Galley.

I knew that.... It was stuck in the back of my brain. :rotfl:

I knew I tasted coconut!

We had Brent on the first few cruises and he is great.

It was pretty touch and go with Claire there for a bit. ::yes::

I loved Carrioca's, but like you, I was not convinced about the menu.

Yeah, it's just not all that fabulous with the choices, especially the entrees.

I love wandering around the ships during the early morning before most people are up.

It's the best!

Nassau looks so pretty from the ship. Loved the photos of the Atlantis. We have not been to the one in Nassau, but have many happy memories from the one in Dubai. If we do end up in Nassau this year, we may go to the Atlantis for the day.

I always remember you went there and it looked so nice!

This looked pretty choppy for snorkelling. Love the coral and fish photos. Chankanaab in Cozumel is great for snorkelling.

Good to know...and i actually looked at possibly going there for our Princess cruise in Sept but we then went with x Caret.

Claire was brave doing the Aqua Dunk. Graham did it a few times and really enjoyed it, but I had one look at it from the top and took the stairs down.

Corinna

You got closer than I did at least. :lmao:

March 30, 2014, Sunday, Day 10

I can’t believe it! It’s our last full day on the ship. I must say though we have been having a great time and enjoying every minute of it.

Today was our Castaway Cay day. I must admit I was a bit worried that we wouldn’t be able to dock. I know when it is wavy or too windy the ship has issues docking and it had been both for most of the cruise. I have read a few TR’s where the ship would try for a while and then give up and some where it tried for quite some time and did actually make it in. I was hoping it would work for us.

I got up early and headed out to see the sites.

There she is!

Getting closer.

The decks have been swabbed for the day.

After watching for a bit, I went back inside.

Back out to deck 4. What a beautiful sunrise!

I was playing with my panoramic feature on my phone.

Backing in!

Jen, you really are a magnet for "those" kind of people. :rotfl: I laugh but then remember that I am a magnet too. :lmao:

Good for Claire giving the snorkeling a try and sticking it out for longer than some of the others. It's too bad that Skip didn't bring up that treasure/bracelet/necklace for you. That would have been a great souvenir. ;)

I was reading the booty short sign to John and he thought that it was hilarious. Thank goodness for stores that sell booty shorts.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next update will include a stop at Castaway Cay and not you telling us that it was too wavy to dock.

Yummy....Grand Marnier Souffle is one of my favorite desserts. I hope they have it on the Dream!

The Pirate Party looks fun and Claire looks cute in her costume. pirate:

Can't wait for your Castaway Cay pictures!

What beautiful pictures again around the ship and as you approached Castaway Cay.

The sunrise picture is beautiful...I love watching the sun rise and you captured it beautifully.

I hope you are able to dock.

I figured you would understand! :lmao:

Yes, it was probably some lost diamond bracelet worth millions! :rotfl2:

Everyone needs a couple of pairs of booty shorts!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next update will include a stop at Castaway Cay and not you telling us that it was too wavy to dock.

Coming up...I have been so busy and haven't had a chance to write. The baby was here for 2 days this week already and she is such a cutie....but she tires me out.

Some more beautiful photos. Now I can't wait to find out if you were able to dock at Castaway Cay.

Corinna

I think I have a quick update ready to post.....I hope. :rolleyes1

Yummy....Grand Marnier Souffle is one of my favorite desserts. I hope they have it on the Dream!

They do!

The Pirate Party looks fun and Claire looks cute in her costume. pirate:

We had fun on pirate night. It was a costume we bought for our 2012 cruise and it still fit well enough to use it again.

Can't wait for your Castaway Cay pictures!

I will try to get moving but you may see the actual island before I get them on here. :thumbsup2

What beautiful pictures again around the ship and as you approached Castaway Cay.

It is such a pretty island.

The sunrise picture is beautiful...I love watching the sun rise and you captured it beautifully.

I hope you are able to dock.

I love seeing the sun from the ship. It's just so amazing.

As you can see, the water wasn’t exactly calm.

I LOVE how blue the water gets when it is churned.

We did not seem to be having any issues backing in.

The Cabanas off in the distance.

Then I headed back to the room to check on the family…who were dead to the world.

I then headed through Cabanas to the back of the ship.

The seagulls knew we were coming into port and were swarming.

I noticed construction off in the distance. I am not sure if this was just the staging area or if they are really building something back there. I know they were building new cabanas so this might be the base where they work out of….or it could be a future expansion….which there has been rumors of over the years.

Cast Members getting ready for guests.

I then went and got myself a bite to eat.

And I must’ve done some more wandering.

So pretty!

And some more exploring.

Wow...that water is really a beautiful blue. Just stunning.

More great pictures around the ship.

I can't wait to see your day at the Castaway Cay.

I know no one likes Nassau, but I really hope the weather is nicer the next time I go back. It pretty much rained the whole time I was there. I do want to walk around a bit with NO rain and NO poncho.

Yay for Claire meeting a friend. Nice that you and Skip got to have dinner alone. I love your pirate picture. I could not get Denny engaged in anything remotely pirate. He never wore his costume. I don't even think we went to the party. By then I was just tired of him not playing along with the whole pirate theme considering it was so close to Thanksgiving.

Great updates Jen.

Oh yeah - wow - there were really a lot of other boats in port that day. I think there was only one other the day we were there. I wonder how far in advance they need to figure out which ships will be there? :confused3

Cool pictures of Castaway Cay. I loved sitting on the verandah and watching us dock. That island was so amazing. :thumbsup2

Pulling into Castaway Cay is one of my favorites things ever!

I'm really looking forward to your Castaway Cay photos, we haven't been there on our past two Disney cruises but will be at the end of this year!!!
