I've been in tears all night!
I went to the tailors to pick up my wedding dress as well as two other dresses I took in to be fitted.
The first two dresses looked wonderful, but when I tried on my wedding dress, my jaw dropped, and not in a good way
My dress is satin, with a chiffon overlay and is supposed to look like this:
The bust area had to be taken in on it. On the left hand side there is ruching. They took the dress in on the seam near the ruching, and left a big puff of fabric sticking up. On the right hand side along the side of my bust, the satin has all bunched and looks horrible.
They are saying they can fix the ruching, but the bunching on the side isn't their fault, that the dress was made that way. I think they did something when they took the seam on that side in, and that's why it looks like that, as it didn't look like that before. There are also two seams in the front, and the seams in the chiffon and the seams in the satin do not line up now. To top things off, there was a small black mark on the front of my dress, and the tailor tried to say that one of the beads caught the chiffon and pulled it - HELLO - it was a black mark, not a pull!
I'm livid right now and don't know what to do. If my mom hadn't been there I would have lost it. She convinced me to try to let them fix it, but I'm not feeling good about it. The main tailor didn't really even see an issue with it. I'm thinking I should try to take it elsewhere, but don't know if it can be fixed, and I don't know if they'll try to charge me for the work they have done.
