A very strange thing happened today, I was up at 6am. This is my normal wake-up but I had not woken up this early in over week. It must have been Disney. Stitch called and Mr. Reese said what the *beep* was that thing? We showered, dressed, called the tagalongs and were on our way. We waited exactly 23 seconds for the Studios bus and were off. We get off the bus and the first thing DGM says is that she would like a big breakfast. Now after the previous day's breakfast Mr. Reese and I are not interested. We promise her breakfast during the "beauty and the best" show. She says ok.
We are ready! We get there just at park opening and head straight TOT get FP's and decide to get breakfast. DGF will hold seats while we get breakfast. Those snack credits sure come in handy. I get a fruit parfait and DH gets a chocolate cake. I highly reccommend starring rolls bakery. They also had bagels/cream cheese and just about everything was a snack credit. I didn't eat too much of it since we would be eating lunch at around 11:30ish. The show was cutesy. The men didn't appreciate it but the females just loved it. At the end, the prince gave a rose to a little girl. Everybody go "Awwwww."
We ride ToT which DGF just loved. His glasses actually came out his pocket almost floated in front of him and then just dropped. Thank goodness they weren't broken. We walked by Indiana Jones and the heavens start to open up. Just a trickle but enough that everyone starts to complain. DH and I are fine. DGM and DGF begin complaining that they would like to go to the hotel. I say ok and we'll see them for dinner at PTC. Now I start hearing well if we leave we aren't coming back. Ok, that's fine. DF convinces them to stay. Afterall we are Floridians and we have ponchos.

We get FP's for Indiana Jones and head over to ABC commissary for lunch.
I got the Toubullah Wrap with chocolate cake for dessert. DH got the fish and chips. DGM got the curry and DM got the noodles. All agreed that they liked the food. Everyone was able to choose something that wasn't fast food fare and that made everyone smile.
I pull out our ponchos and we head over to the Muppets. It had a thirty minute wait but that was fine. The queue area here is pretty neat. It's all painted funky and has some "muppet movie" posters. DH just watched TV on his phone and before you knew it we were walking inside. I saw the sign that talked about the key and lo and behold there was a key with a magical moment certificate. I was all psyched!!

It was raining but I found the key!! I found the key!! We saw muppets, picked up FP for star tours and watched Indiana Jones. It was here during the pre-show that the tagalongs began to complain. We were all wet!! DH had his shoes soaked but didn't say anything. The tagalongs? They were in full complaint mode. DF wanted me to change dinner. So being the good daughter that I am I called Dining to see what was available. For a party of six? Trails End or Yacht Club galley. I took Yacht Club galley but didn't cancel our original ADR. I know, I know that was bad.
DF says he wants WCC. I call WCC directly and find out they are not taking any walk-ups. I relay this to DF and he actually no jokes about it, puts on a full pout. We finish watching the show and miracle be had it has stopped raining. Everyone agrees to stay!! We ride on Star Tours and since I am vertically challenged my feet do not touch the floor in the backrow. It's a fun ride but it does need some updating.
DF suddenly remembers lights, motor, action is here and makes a beeline for it. The last show is at 4:15 and it's now 3:15pm. DF declares that we will all wait for the show. We wait and wait and wait. Now we're not even sure that there is going to be a show but we are at the front of the line if there is one. Finally they say yes there is going to be a show and let us into the waiting area which to me feels like a cattle pen where they play the same two minutes of music over and over and over again. DH and I play phone scrabble so we are able to tune it out but DGF begins to hum it over and over and over again. DM snaps!!! Run for your lives! Peggyzilla is here...... Just when I begin to fear for my life, we get to sit down. Score! We get seats right behind the handicapped section. If you haven't seen this show, see it! It really is that good. Car chases, explosions what more could you want?
We race over to PTC for dinner and have Cousin George. He picked on DH right away calling him Skippy. I ordered a "Mowie Wowie" and it had a cool glow cube

I ordered Fried Herb Cheese, fried chicken dinner and smores. For some reason I was thinking of mozzerella sticks but it wasn't. It was this awesome cheese that you spread on fruit and bread. The fried chicken was just fabulous. George didn't harass us. He made us feel like family and that was great. DH was concerned that he would torture us. He did tease DH mercissley. DH had seen someone get yelled at for not eating his greens. DH puts them on my plate and then tells him. What do I get? collard greens with whipped cream and sprinkles. The smores were fabulous just like camping. Everyone raved about their food. It is just good home-cooking. DF and DGF said that their chocolate shakes were the best they had in years.
We paid the bill with our TS credits. The bill would have been over 80 bucks for just DH and I. Then we saw the osborne lights. We got there just in time to see them dance. Fabulous! Now DH wants to do that to our house. Men!!!

We walk around aimlessly and take it all in. It was around 7ish and although I really wanted to see Fantasmic (I always seem to miss it) DH was feeling mighty tired and logic took hold. It was time for bed. We make the trek to the bus wait for three buses to go around. This was going to be a running theme; waiting for buses at the end of the day. DH convinces me to go and have another tasty beverage. This time there's Bob the piano player. We're pretty wiped and head back to our rooms. Day 2 is complete and there were no meltdowns. LIfe is good.
Up next - Day 3 The not-so Magical Kingdom
cmp1111- I was none to happy with overall changes in curriculum. I found entire school districts where the only subjects taught in elementary school were math and reading because the test scores needed to be raised. Many schools had eliminated art, pe, and music from their schools and changed these to more reading and math instruction. I found these pushes to be most prevelant in lower-income/ minority communities.
