YOU BAKED!??? I haven't baked or anything yet! I work for my DH and he is just terrible this time of year....as the end of the year approaches he becomes a lunatic! He suddenly wants to get everything done before the new year comes about and he drives me crazy!

I have been wanting to make cookies and candy and I can barely keep up with the dishes and laundry! **sigh**

I like the flashy Merry Christmas! Brightens things up around here quite a bit!

Good luck with your gift shopping.....have a hot cocoa and put your feet up for awhile when you get home!

Thought I'd check to see if there was a little something left under my name over Christmas someday, my tag will come...

Hope all had a wonderful holiday...we had lots of presents (with tags - just not the kind I'm looking for...LOL). Too many cookies have I eaten, resorted to wearing sweats ho ho, not Santa - more like Jabba the Hut.

Oldest DS got engaged , future DIL had dress bought 2 days later - wow! They're trying to have a wedding next December, if a suitable venue will be available. I was sort of expecting a longer engagement. Time for DH to work those overtimes, must feed the mouse again in June & Oct. I'm afraid that I'll be expected to provide the honeymoon trip (damn DVC , I'll be in the red on points for sure, hope they're not hoping for a cruise).

nothing new and exciting here. i asked santa for tags and he gave me grief instead.


for christmas, i tried to give the sons back to their father but it didn't, they are still around.............one went to mexico this morning and will be there for 14 days in guadalajara. another son goes to cancun mexico on jan 12 for a week........then third son goes back to college on the 15 of jan.........which is another road trip for me.


hoping the new year is a good one for all of us..........and maybe a tag or two will follow.

We'll be arriving on the 10th, will just miss you! My Universal AP will have expired by then. We sprung for WDW AP's, but I really want to experience the Hallowen Horror Nights (DH & DS are not fans of the macabe, twisting their arms - slowly LOL) Have to get on the ball looking for res. @ HRH, hope I didn't wait too long to get a Friday/Sat...last time I looked there were no discounts on the web-site yet...assume they sell out quick for the weekends.

My oldest 2 always return from dear old dad's house too (usually with their dirty laundry in tow.) We live 3 blocks apart, when they were small, they'd get mad & "run away from home" from one house to the other. At 25 & 19 my 2 oldest have been "too old" for WDW/Universal lately, have lobbied for Aruba - solo!

My oldest commuted to a private college, could have covered room & board @ state school for less money. At least I was spared the road trips. Middle DS lasted 1 year @ local CC, off to police acad. in a week I'm uneasy about the whole career choice.

Now, the DIL is jones'ing for WDW/DCL, etc. - guess she's sick of hearing about our trips (serves me right). Of course, they're looking @ the most expensive time of year - Xmas. Perhaps I could mention the excessive crowds & convince them to honeymoon off-season.

My son is 14. I have been freaking out and depressed all day. I sent him with his dad up to visit his grandparents , sis , and cousins etc. I know that sounds perfectly normal but the thing is, this is the FIRST TIME his dad has had him, ever. I know its a good thing and its ok cuz all his family is there (they know him, we have visited them frequently),but I am still feeling totally weird about it.

lindalinda, the first time is always the hardest. i know what you are going thru.

but, he will be back soon and either in a good mood or lousy mood. its kind of like flipping a coin............4 boys here, speaking from experience....

i might change my plans to leave on the 10th if i could catch you for awhile.
it depends on if i do the stay 3 nights get the 4th night free at hrh.

It'll get easier...I sat and cried for hours the 1st time my older 2 DS's left for a holiday visit...have learned to appreciate the relative quiet time...best wishes.

macraven - not sure yet of exact dates for Oct. Always have to abide by the Sun thru Thurs rule @ WDW - Fri & Sat cost @ least double, will move to either AS or HRH on 10/14 & 15th (hmmm, which sounds better LOL). Don't know if DS & DH can get Fri 10/7 off, will have to check but, that would give us 2 days @ Universal before WDW.

Also, have to factor in what days I can snag our voucher'd AirTran tix. Wasn't too thrilled with the June '06 black out days - only dates avail have us arriving & departing on a Sat, necessitating changing hotels 2 times in a week (AS, BWV, AS again). For Oct. I'm hoping to only move once.

Oh, I donno' about that...certain people/the chosen ones, have received a tag well before they earned their ears. I hear tell that some people (you know who you are LOL) got 2 tags early on...while other deserving souls await their turn.

Then there's me, like to think the glaring blank space under my avatar has a certain panache...yeah, and I can't wait for the credit card bills from my vacation either.

Not that you're rubbing it in or anything!

My DSs are having a 2 day Star Wars Fest, starting tomorrow. I have been buying food, drinks, and supplies for a week! They rented a nearby hall and we are hauling 2 of our TV sets and dvd players over there. Everybody is to bring food and plan to stay all day, both days. This should be interesting....

They plan on showing all 3 of the new Star Wars movies and some cartoon movies based on Star Wars. They are also taking their Game Cube and someone is bringing a Playstation so people can play video games if they get bored or are not really into Star Wars!

Oldest DS got a full size Star Wars stand up for Christmas and we are going to take the kids' pictures with it as they come in and email the pics to them later.

We have never tried anything like this before but it snowballed and they had between 30 and 40 kids interested in coming....our house just isn't that big!! We must be nuts!! But, I hope the kids all have fun!
