The Sword in the Stone

Sorry no one is lokig at who pulls the sword out, while waiting for my Disney bibbdi. Boo pics my hubby took our 5yrold daughter outside, she pulled the sword out my hubby took pics at night my hubby showed me the pics and I said that's a big deal not everyone can do it, next night we went back to Cindy couture store in front of stone showed them the pic and they gave us a certificate and said nobody has done it for a few months now..that's it no one is watching..I think it might have to do with the weight like another person said..though I think ot SUPER COOL that she did it and we have pics to prove it

We were there in 2009 and a little boy after us was able to pull out the sword too and he got an award, we found the cm who gave that little boy some pixie dust and he put a little on my nephew who has a mild form of autism and he too was able to pull out the sword (no award though) much to the surprised older brothers and cousins who tried to no avail...Loved it!!!!!

We happened across the cm who had the pixie dust and he was able to sprinkle some on my nephew who has mild autism and he was able to pull it up too (without the award though) but it was his family's first time at Disney and it was such a magical moment. His brothers, sisters and cousins where all in awe........Loved it!

On our Christmas trip we were at MK on 12/27/10 and my boys lined up to try and pull the sword. I got out front to take a picture. When the youngest took his turn the sword started to come up, his face lite up like you wouldn't believe. People standing around were exclaiming, wow he pulled it out!! I started the video camera too, but only got him lowering the sword back in the stone. Then the older one took his turn and it did not budge...What a great experience we had!!!!:goodvibes

lol..it is easy, all you have to do is try it while a CM is watching with a photopass CM on hand and the magic clicker...unfortunately, it has never happened for us, and I wish it would just the one time...my DD insists on going back over and over again to try.....

We didn't even notice this on our first family trip in June and the carrousel was our first ride. Where, relative to the queue, is the stone?

Wow..that is really cool! Both my kids have tried it on every one of our trip but nothing happened yet!

it's between the back of the castle and the carousel, although it's quite literally in front of the carousel

Glad to see someone bumped this up...

I mentioned in the original post, there was a Photopass photographer to capture the moment.

Well I got the pics back, and here's a few... (which by the way, kudos to the photopass photpgrapher for capturing the moment better then I did).

Those photos were awesome! What a moment!

DH got to pull up the sword on our last trip. It was a ceremony and all of the kids kept on burning themselves on the metal. They needed an adult, so DH was picked. We are got a free FP and tons of Mickey stickers. We were just about to head to the aiport and DS wanted to ride Peter Pan one last time, we didn't have enough time. We got to use the FP on that, it was the perfect end to the perfect vacation.

I just showed this to my 4 year old. He is so excited to try and pull out the sword! Hope he gets some pixie dust before we go!

Our kids tried pulling the sword out this Sept past. We never saw a photopass photographer there though.

My 6 year old son had success! :thumbsup2

My 11 year daughter was determined if her little brother could lift the sword up, then so would she! Alas, not to be. :rotfl:
