About how long does this ceremony lasts and are there any tips on getting chosen by Merlin to pull the sword?

It is pretty quick, maybe 10-15 minutes at the most.

We only watched it once last trip because after the first time DS9 was SOO disappointed that he wasn't chosen that there was no way I was going to repeat the agony!

Merlin chose a little boy who was there on a sibling's Wish trip, which really made the little boy feel special. It was very sweet. DS couldn't really appreciate the circumstances of the other little boy and decided to pout about it for hours. My DS tends to be a sore loser.
