The Sweet Meet - Dis'ers do Hershey

Don, are you staying over Friday night or Saturday night?

Actually, he will need the concert tickets on Saturday morning to get the discount for the park tickets. He can give you the concert tickets after he purchases the park tickets on Saturday morning.

The concert is on saturday? Gotcha....

No, we are driving up early and heading back to DC at night.

Oh, OK, I thought I saw somewhere you were staying over...doesn't matter, as long as you are there for Saturday!

I'll be hooking up with Don whenever he gets to the park on Saturday AM so he can use the Jonas tickets at the ticket office to get his park tickets.

Once I find those Texas Taylor's after that, they will have their Jonas tix. :goodvibes All will be good Jennifer.

So Deb has an old rickety portable DVD player. I just need to make sure it still works ok and get a car charger for it. I'm also getting a Nintendo DS travel kit. Alan should be good with those and he can grab some books to take as well.

It's getting closer. :cool1:

Don is used to hooking up in parking lots....:banana::banana:

Sounds like you've got it all covered, George. Alan should be occupied for at least, oh...... 30 or 40 minutes. Just kidding! I know how kids are!!!

Yesterday we went to Splish Splash which is a water park out east on LI - the drive was about 45 minutes. After 10 minutes in the car Isabella asked if we were there yet :headache:. Good thing our drive is not THAT long!!!

I prefer rest stops!

Our kids are great in the car, mostly because we do it so often. We often question if they are even still back there. Of course its not perfect, but on 10-12 hr days in the car, they do great.

I see they are open from 10-11 on saturday. I'm leaving from downtown DC and the GPS says just over two hours. How long should I give myself for traffic, etc? Is DC traffic going to be horrible on a saturday morning?

I have no idea, but, we are assembling before the "rope drop" at 10am, so just factor in some more time to get there before the 10am opening.

All this hooking up going on................

So George, is Don your new "Coaster Wife"?

Don - generally DC traffic is manageable on Saturday mornings, the exception is if you will be on the beltway in VA at all. There is a lot of construction going on with lane closures etc. I would allow some extra time if you are going that way.

I don't see any love for Farenheit. :confused3

Jennifer and I had this on our "must do" list as it's unique, but is it not that good and should we be looking elsewhere?

Work? What's that? ;) Cool, I was just hoping that it wasn't one of those rides that looks cool but is not that much fun once you ride it. Hopefully the crowds won't bee TOO crazy that day. I know...wishful thinking. :wizard:
