The Survivor Thread: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites

I didn't join the fantasy league, but I watched last night's episode.

First, I enjoyed one of the Fans giving out nicknames for his tribemates. I mean, how could you not love having the Incredible Hulk and Jon Bon Jovi on your tribe? :rotfl2:

Actually, I think the Hulk has a better nickname. Ogre. As in "Revenge of the Nerds" Ogre. Anyone remember that movie? He looks a lot like that character.

Anyway, I liked the Fans tribe until Crazy (or is that Krazy?) Kathy opened up her mouth and kept talking while her foot was still in it. Good thing she won immunity or she would be out in their first TC. But how cool was it that they smoked (literally!) the Favorites tribe on the challenge? I was cheering for the Fans as they worked seamlessly together.

The Tribal Council was such a cop out, though. I thought the entire time that Jonny Fairplay was playing the "dead grandma" card with his "pregnant girlfriend" talk. If it was strategy to keep him in the game, I am glad it backfired on him. I didn't believe any word out of his mouth. If he brings his daughter to the reunion show, that might redeem him a little bit.

ROFL. What a lunatic she was/is

I didn't understand the whole "dead grandma" thing (must have been a previous episode?), but man, that guy is a CREEP. I wasn't buying it... he was playing that story up to anyone that would listen... even tearing up at one point... Give me a break. You know, I bet he probably does have a pregnant girlfriend back home, but I still didn't believe one word of his sob story... A low life like him would never throw away the chance at money and fame so easily. He was using his situation back home to gain sympathy from his teammates and to reverse his reputation from his previous stint. So glad it backfired on him! :teeth: What a weasel!!

If I were his girl, he'd be out on his backside the minute he arrived back home...

pink, during a challenge (family members came to play with them) he told the other players (crying) that his grandma isn't the family member thats here to be on his team because she passed away.

It was all a ploy to get everyone to feel bad for him :rotfl: it was the most evil move ever made on survivor.

You're in luck! It doesn't look like CBS is going to score the first episode so you are not too late! We just happen to have an open slot on the second tribe. :thumbsup2

To me, the whole Fairplay thing almost seemed like a set-up.

For one, the producers are sure to realize that having him on the Favs tribe would bring a large viewing audience. If for no other reason than to see if he is still going to be as much of a weasel as he was before.

BUT he is annoying, he is a pain in the a$$, and no one really wants him to be there. In fact, had he been allowed to stay and continue being a complete waste of skin, audience numbers might have dropped! I, for one, was SO glad he left last night... not sure how much longer I could have listened to him have complete diarrhea of the mouth combined with fatal lack of IQ.

So I can almost hear the negotiations now. "Ok, you want to come back, we will let you come back. For one episode. But you have to promise to do your level best to make everyone vote you out on night one. Or I will personally drop a palm tree on your head while you sleep."

Now, my great desire is that the next to go are Eliza and Kathy. Apologies to anyone who likes these players, NO meant. ;)

Noy sure I would rank it the most evil move ever on Survivor. For me, I think it is number 2. Most evil (to me) would be Dreamz voting Yau Man out after Yau gave him the truck. That was a pretty slimeball thing to do, IMHO.

Now does Kathy's immunity still count? for their first council? or was it just the first council period?

She will go as soon as they can :rotfl:

I dont like Eliza either, but I have a feeling Cirie is going to join forces with that side, she would be a fool to join up with 2 couples. I expect pavarti to be gone soon, I am gambling with her on my roster ROFL. I am hoping the favs win the next challenge :thumbsup2

ETA: I still go with the grandmother thing LOL but yeah dreamz move was pretty bad :rotfl:

Dang it, I think you are right. I think it counts until the first time *she* is in tribal.
I agree though, she will go as soon as they can get her gone.

If I were on the Fans team, I would hatch an Evil Plot. i would get the whole team to pretend to just love her and to be her very best friend, and at the same time I would have the team pretend like they were going to vote off someone else. Then that someone else could come to Kathy and ask her for the idol, promising all sorts of favors in return. As soon as she gives the idol to that person, assuming herself safe cause everyone seems to love her, BANG she's gone. :upsidedow

I think Kathy's immunity is still good. I hope so, I don't want to see her go yet. I would think someone on the fan side would see her as an asset. Bring her along with your alliance and use her vote when you need it, throw her under the bus before the merge (I don't think you'd want that lady on the jury).

Besides that, people who frequently put their foot in their mouth can be very entertaining to watch.

yeah but having her around camp will crush morale :rotfl: she is just TOO annoying

Yup, I didn't like Eliza or Kathy AT ALL.... first impressions are strong. But the second creepiest award (after Fairplay) goes to that Yau Man (sp?). Seeing greed in people and what they will do for money absolutely sickens me. He plays dirty. Ok, so maybe I won't last the season here... :teeth:

Hey, might be a way to pick up some good points if she turns out to be the big cry baby I think she is... :rolleyes1

he is actually one of the most popular players to play the game LOL

I can see why your first impression is that, but I have a feeling your not going to like this game :rotfl:

I'm not going to spoil anything. I just have to say that what happened before the commercial break was so funny! :lmao:
.

Hmmm.... can you say what was so funny now? I don't really remember laughing at anything in particular last night... Guess I don't have the same sense of humor as some of you do... :rolleyes1

Well, I'm probably going to hang onto her until her immunity idol is gone anyway.

1) She's safe from elimination
2) Crying bonus points
3) Annoying people get camera time. More camera time means more opportunities to rack up points.

Besides, the way this season is going she'll probably wind up kissing somebody before she gets the boot. :lmao:

crying is bonus points????? EGAD....

Parvati??????? The chick in the hot tub with the 2 naked dudes????

You and Pete.........

Hey Pink, I picked her too. It's all about the points. At least I did not pick Jonny Crybaby. :lmao: (I really wish crying was an option for bonus points.)

Oh the scoop on Jonny Crybaby was that yes his girlfriend was pregnant (she was a Former America's Top Model Contestant). But I heard he was also having issues with his jaw and stuff from the Danny Bonaduce slam he received at that award show. So pain was also getting to him.

When Yau Man tackled Fairplay's head into the boat to get the idol and then Fairplay kept saying "You tackled me, Yau Man" over and over again. Plus, Fairplay had an immunity idol. How'd he drop it? That's what cost him this first vote off.

Speaking of Fairplay, I think his sob story was actually true. The local news on Fridays always interviews the previous night's Survivor castoff and he was still talking about his feelings there and he said the same things over again. If he was making it up, he had no reason to not admit it now. Plus, it's a fact that she was pregnant because they showed a picture of the baby today.

I just thought of another Kathy angle. Bonus points for "plays the hidden immunity idol" the first time she goes to tribal council.

I shouldn't be giving this stuff away. I'm cutting you guys off! ;)
