The Superfamily February 2009!! We're taking on the world!! MAJOR UPDATE 1/7

OH MY GOSH!! I forgot about that! When we got hom Sunday, i jumped on the couch to watch Lord of the Rings. Then on the family channel they had the Harry Potter movies on. Let's just say I was in movie heaven.....between my sweet, hot Orlando "Legolas" and then my Weasley twins....

You are too cute! ;)

Hi everyone!!! Well, I decided to try my hand at a pre-trip report! I am going to try my best to make it good and keep you entertained!!

We are going October 3rd through the 8th, staying at the All Stars Movie resort.

Well, let me get right to it. Here is the cast:

Me - My name is Heather (aka Wonder Woman) and I am 31 years old and a proud mommy to a sweet, sassy girl! I have worked for the State of Georgia for 12 years and I am ready for my husband to finish school so I can stay at home with my baby. I love all things Disney! Me and my husband got engaged at the Magic Kingdom in 97, which seems like ages ago!

Hubby - Chad (aka Superman) is 32 years old. He loves Disney just as much as I do, which is a great thing. He loves Superman and has been a fan since he was a child. He is currently in school, which I wish he would hurry up and finish!

Daughter - Hollie (aka Supergirl). She is 3 years old and is a sweet, sassy child. The things she comes up with!!!! :rotfl2: This will be her 2nd trip and she talks about it non-stop. She loves Tinkerbell, Ariel, and Princess Aurora!

My mother - we are taking her with us because she loves her little grandbaby! She and my dad do so much for us and we just wanted to let her share in our excitement. I asked my dad to go, but it was a big no! He hates crowds and he is just the type to want to stay at home. But, we will get him there one day!!!

Okay, so the plans. We are going to be attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We are really, really excited about this. Hollie will be dressed as Tinkerbell, Chad will be Jack Sparrow and I have no clue what I am going to be!!! When I asked for Hollie's input, she said I should go as a mean ole witch. Which is why I call her sassy! Here are some pictures of us!

This was our halloween picture last year. You can see how obsessed we are with costumes. I actually had Chad's custom made and he was in heaven!

This is a picture we took on Easter Sunday after hunting eggs. DD has this thing where she calls this her goofy face and she insist on taking one everywhere we go!!:rotfl2:

Hey and :welcome: Glad you could make it!!

I will go check yours out right now!:thumbsup2

I'm sorry...:sad1: What dates is it? Thanksgiving?
It was this one, Oct. 3rd through 8th (my birthday!!):lmao:
But, I actually did cancel our trip for November and redid the reservations with the fall code on disney.com and it only added 75 more bucks to what we originally had but it added a 2 day ticket!! So, now I have to find a way to get rid of the tickets we already had!!:rotfl2:

WHOA, Heather,

I booked POP under the new code that just came out for Oct 2-14 and got $55/night rates standard room. We had to buy a package and I had already purchased tickets through Undercover Tourist so I added 1 day base ticket to each person and it was still so much cheaper. There has to be something cheaper out there than $121 a night.

I say call and bug 'em. And I can say that since I worked on the other end of the phone at one time in my Disney Career. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

You have me so confused right now! :lmao: Why are ya'll buying tickets elsewhere? Next time wait and buy them from Disney or through someone where you can change things around if need be. Just stay longer and use the tickets? That's what I'd do.

Well, originally our total package was $676.00 and then when I went back and did it this morning with the code, it equaled out to $696.00 with a 1 day base ticket for everyone. We bought our first package without tickets because we already had 2 tickets from last year we didn't use. So, next time I wait until codes come out before I book!!:lmao:

I sure do wish they would release a room only discount!

Amen to that sista! :thumbsup2 :lmao:

I told dh that if they did a room only code then we would do a spit stay but I cannot see us booking tiny packages all over just so I get my 2 nights a WL or his pirate pool at CBR! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Maybe if we keep wishing, they will offer one soon!!!! :lmao:

So, I just got the phone with my mom. She asked me how hard would it be to postpone our trip until later. She is hoping to retire/quit her job the end of this year. One problem we had with this trip was we couldn't be gone on a Thursday. She is the City Clerk where we live and has to do payroll every Thursday for the workers in the town we live. Meaning, Police officers, firemen, yada yada yada! She is the one who signs the paychecks, so it needs to be done!
Well, I told her it wouldn't be a big deal...but would she want to go in January or February?? She said that would be fine. It would give her a lot more time to save up for the trip and get things finalized. My dad retired last July from the Fire Department (I LOVESSSS Me SOME FINE FIREMEN!!)

So, the only thing that would be a problem are the MNSSHP tickets we already have. I know I could find someone who wants them, or I could possibly send them back and have them refunded.

This brings me to my new thing, the Pirate and Princess party. Hopefully we could go to this. I love me some Capt. Jack and I know you can do a meet and greet with him. The only problem is I don't know the dates yet. So, I could possibly wait until later this year and book it.

Does anyone know if that time of year is crazy packed??

January is an awesome time to go! I think it is the least crowded that I have ever been! You'll have a blast! I'm sad that you have to wait so long but it will be nice for you mum if it is easier for her to save. What a nice daughter! Plus meeting Captain Jack is also a big bonus!

From what I hear, Jan and Feb are great times to go. As long as you don't go president's weekend. That is awesome that you would do that for your mom :) Hopefull Pand P will be going on by Feb!

When I went in January of 2007, it was from the 14th to the 21st, and it was a great time of year to go.:thumbsup2

I think we are going to book the last week in February!!

Right now, its the last week in February. I am hoping they will release the P & P party dates soon so I can see about going there.
I love my mom and dad and if they want to change, I sure will for them!!!
Of course, my dad isn't going. He hates crowds!!:lmao:

Aww, could you tell me about the crowds?

How sweet of you to change your plans for your mamma! God love ya!
I have no idea what the crowds or weather is like during that time but I hope it is perfect for you.:thumbsup2
