The Superfamily February 2009!! We're taking on the world!! MAJOR UPDATE 1/7

LOVE the superman, woman, girl costumes.....just LOVE them. DD5 and I will be at POFQ Oct 3 - 6. Which MNSSHP are you guys attending.

After seeing those super costumes, I'm rethinking my plan....but I'm just so darn attached to my sneakers while at WDW....my feet won't have it any other way ;), so, right now the plan is a 50's/poodle skirt girl. DD wants to be Ariel, but we'll see what happens between now & then.

Hey you, just swingin thru to see whats goin on in here! :goodvibes
Thanks for giving me a order for papmered chef..you put my party over 700.00- WOOT WOOT!

feeling better today, still kinda sad ya know:sad2:

Catch ya on the flip side!:upsidedow :lmao:

I think that's going to be a fun-filled night for all of you. Seems there will be a bunch of Disers there that night. I will say a prayer for perfect weather all night. Everyone take a lot of pictures to share with us. The decorations, the characters' costumes, the parade - it is all so awesome! I'm very jealous of you guys. Happy for you, but jealous, nonetheless. ;)

I think it will be a fun night also!!! You should go down there with Jill, MeMom!I know I am going to take lots and lots of pictures for everyone to look at!! Hollie told me that I am going to be Wendy girl, she is going to be tinkerbell, and she told her daddy that he will be tinkerbell too!!:lmao:

Hey!!! We are going to be at the Oct. 7th MNSSHP!
Thank you, we love to dress up!! I am thinking we might be pirate's for this year's Halloween trick or treating and let Hollie be Tink! She loves tinkerbell!!
I am with you on the sneakers! If I dress up, I will have my skechers on whether it matches or not!! :rotfl:

Man!!! You made some good sells girl!!!! I hope you get lots of nice, free goodies!!

I am glad your feeling better! I know it will take some time, but maybe something good can happen and they will change their minds, I sure hope so!

NO!
That is NO to we have not figured out the costumes. :sad2: YES we are dressing up! My annoyance with my cute little family is coming through here.:lmao: We cannot pin anything down for sure, everyone keeps changing their mind. We are going camping this weekend and I plan on family meetings around the campfire to discuss this until we have a FINAL decision or no one is coming back down to the valley! :lmao::lmao:

My goal would be to figure out some cool family theme in costumes that would not be hot and all go with that. I had a great idea but the little man in the family is rebeling against it and he was the main character (Pinocchio).

I know we have a while yet of course but if I have to make anything or hunt for the costumes I want to start soon.

Ok I'm going to go back and read some more! :)

Aww, Pinocchio would have been so good!!!!!!!! That would be a good family costume route!! Talk them into it!!!!

Sorry, I know I'm commenting way back but this is hysterical. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

LOL!!!!! I know, she can come up with some good costumes! :rotfl:

Look how rude I am hogging 3 posts in a row!:lmao:

I absolutely love your PTR so far. I'm caught up! :cool1:

i would have skipped Universal too with those crowds. I remember waiting like 4 hours for Back to the Future in 1993 at Christmas. That was insane. :scared1:

Dolly Parton picture:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I LOVE IT! Hollie is a character and such a sweetie!

Wow what crazy wedding drama. I'm glad you chose to go with the boys and avoid it.

So a question on the Coral Reef menu pictures. Do they put those all around the menu that you ordered personalized? I thought it was just your name on the top:lmao: Now I'm really impressed!

Great report so far!

Hollie is a nut!! She just comes up with stuff like that all the time!

We are planning on Universal when we go in October. There was just no way in heck I was going to even step foot in that place when I saw how many people were there. NO WAY!!

I was glad the wedding turned out great!!! We all have laughed about the drama now....well, everyone except the two sisters! ;)

I think with the menu they will put all the pictures on the left side. They will just make them small and then there will be a saying at the top. I can not for the life of me remember what Debbi and I came up with! So, this will be as much a surprise to me as it will Chad!!

This might be a dumb question, but has anyone ever had the chocolate slipper they served at Disney World? The reason I am asking is I have searched on here and the only threads that have came up are old, old threads. Most of them said you could only special order it at GF and their restaurants or their bakery. I would really, really like to get 2 of them ordered as a surprise for the hubby and I have searched and searched and don't know really where to start.:sad2:

I would if I could, but then I wouldn't have the money for the family Thanksgiving trip, so I'll have to sacrifice. Plus, they're kind of going with some friends - some meals and activities together and some apart- with young folks like them that have kids, and I'd be the 'old lady in the way', so I better not.

Daddy being Tinkerbell could be...interesting?!?!? We saw a woman last year in a Tinkerbell outfit, and believe me, she needed about three of those costumes to cover her up. She was about forty something and somewhat ample all over, and she was strutting her stuff. I would have hoped my kids would have stopped me from walking through the park looking like that if I had ever tried to! (Be assured, I will never try to!) You will see some unique and interesting get-ups, I'm sure!

Awww, well at least you won't be leaving to go too far after they are down there in October!:thumbsup2

Yes, that is what he said! He looked at her and said, "Hollie, Tinkerbell is a girl. I am a guy!" Then she told him he could be Capt. Hook!!:rotfl:

I can't wait to see all the interesting outfits! I would never try to wear anything super skimpy with my ample parts hanging out!!!

Oooohhh I cant help you on this.:lmao: I'm really hoping someone can though because it sounds fantastic!

Did you look on the cake thread over on the food board? It seems like I see a lot of pictures of it -- I know you can have it delivered to the Castle -- not sure about anywhere else.

Here is a link to the cake thread:

Cake Thread

Here is a number to call WDW about ordering cakes (which I would assume would also include the slipper since it is a specialty thing):

The Cake Hotline number is 407-827-2253 and requires 48 hours notice.

Probably wouldn't hurt to call and at least ask. :goodvibes

Oh my gosh!! Thank you so much!!! I think I am going to call GF bakery and see if I can order the slippers and then I will pick them up. I hope they will let me even though I am not staying there!

You are very welcome!

Let us all know what they say when you call.

Lol!! Hey, you know I will let you know when I find out! From what I saw on the cake board, I have read they are around $12 to $14 dollars. That isn't really that bad. I think I am going to call the cake hotline and ask them if I can order some and then go and pick them up so they don't have to deliver it!! So, once I find out I will sure let you know!:thumbsup2

You can also get the chocolate slipper at CRT. I'm ordering one for our trip in two weeks. If you don't have an ADR for CRT and want one, try for dinner. I was able to get a dinner ADR less than a month out. Breakfast and lunch are impossible. I got our breakfast ressies at the 180 day mark.

You can also get the mini castle cake. I believe they have that at the GF. It's $25.00.

I just started reading your pre trippie! I just love the superheroes pic of you all! It's soooooooooooooo cute! Hollie is a spitting image of her daddy! I can't wait to read the TR. :goodvibes
