The story some of you have been waiting for.

There is a Family Day Parade at MK in the early afternoon. It looks "turn of the century." We saw bits and pieces of it but not the whole thing. There's enough reasons to bust on the OP and her "friend." Some of the stuff is true, but it the story is so ridiculous that it becomes easy to doubt ALL of it. :)

Ok I have made it through this entire thread :rotfl2: :rotfl2: and someone correct me if Im wrong
1) OP and DS were shopping
2)Family day Parade is going on outside (never heard of this one :confused3 )
3a)OP wants to see the parade, Wait I meant DS
3b) or was it a mayor? (which way off topic I saw my towns mayor the other day, wasnt that thrilling for me  )
4)DS runs out of the store
5)OP runs out after him, because shes worried
6)OP then sends the child back into the store ALONE (bad parenting judgement here, but who am I?)
7)DS puts a mug into the cupholder on the disney stroller (which is pretty good since I can barely do that)
8)Dad leaves and calls mom who answers the phone and can hear over said parade
9)Dad goes back is met by Orange County Police (were they on Orange County Choppers?)
10)They take him to City Hall after telling OP to LEAVE her kids on the parade route (I dont care who you are Im not leaving my children unattended in Disney, see #6)
11)they take Dad into custody for 18 hrs, but not before he gives OP his wallet, keys, and wedding band (I guess people arent married in jail)
12)now they have to go back to Orlando for trial in December (Sounds like agreat time for another Disney trip to me :goodvibes )

So g uys if I have missed anything, which im sure I have...Please correct me

There is a part in there somewhere about the mom and child going to Buzz, waiting for Buzz, riding Buzz and doing all this before the parade was over because as stated in one post they were marched down the parade route for everyone to see and told to leave their kids at the parade.......or something like that.

Proud to be the first to completely 'call this out'

You know, the OP has complained to me about why I'm so mean. When I first posted, I took that risk - that maybe the language was misunderstood and that there was real reason to sympathize with the OP. But it didn't seem right, so I fired away.

I'm going to make one other observation that I hinted at before jokingly, but now suspect strongly:
The OP and the arrested OP are of a different culture and, through a combination of their old culture and 'americanization' have the entitlement issues others have pointed out.

Yeah, I forgot about the Buzz ride.

The Family Day Parade we saw wasn't that long. We saw people standing and waiting for it, but then once we started seeing parade - it seemed really short. It seemed like it ended about the time it began.

It wasn't the big deal that the 3pm parade is.

I don't say this lightly, but it is the only explanation I can think of.

The arrest may be true - but would only come as the result of something we're not hearing - like a lack of cooperation with the authorities. This lack would be driven by entitlement.

And the language in the posts suggests the source of that cultural gap between what happened to them and what *should* have happened.

:scratchin You are probably correct.

I'm also wondering if the arrest part is true and they are working on an elaborate story to cover their behinds in regards to whatever really happened. I certainly don't believe it is the story being told here of a child putting an item in a stroller and all this happening as a result.

The OP has taught me that my plan for Christmas shopping at WDW with the five finger discount will not work.

1) OP and I weren't together during vacation..we only met up with each other 1 day.
2)Family Day Parade was new just about 5 min.
3)The woman in old fashion costume was on the sidewalk very loudly talking about her upcoming term as Mayor, she was very comical, sorry she amused my 4 year old.
4)Never said DS ran out of store. He hopped out of stoller which he was sitting in hold trinkets he wanted to purchase headed towards the door. The whole time I WAS with him. When he went to DH all of 4-5 feet away(display between us) I assumed he put his things on top of stroller with everything else we had piled on it to purchase.
5)Mug fits in stroller just fine obviously now...we had drinks in them the whole lenght of stay?
6)Yes I am a big girl and don't need my DH at my side at all times we split up w/ children all the time to keep them happy due to the age differences( 17,12,4) parade is done while listening to mayor.
7) Yes they would not let me bring my children to security because it is back stage and children are not suppose to see what is back stage because it could ruin thier magic. Officers gave me map to jail told me to go in about 3 hours..I had to find transportation so it took almost 2, when arriving there they told me 3 more hours for prints to clear, then they started bail paperwork aobut 2 hours, then they accepted cash and told me 6-12 more hours for his discharge. Trust me ther were families that were there longer than we were!
8) Trust me when I tell you I do not have the free time to make up stories nor the desire

Only thing I can think of is that her DH must have had outstanding arrest warrants somewhere in the country for him to be arrested, held for 18 hours, have bail set of $5000 (money paid is typically 10%) and have to return for a court date. "Disney" is not going to arrest guests for an innocent misunderstanding.

Well your alter ego in the first post said he ran out of the store. She also said that what she was saying was the truth. Perhaps you should make your story clear from the get go. It tends to make things a lot easier. Also it took you two hours to find a cab? :confused3

"Does anyone remember last November?
We are traveling Nov 1-9. It shows that on Mouse Savers that there was a discount package for general public at the same time in 2005. Does anyone remember what it was. I am very curious. Also, what is a room-only code? Thanks so much!!!! "

"This is exactly how I feel!!! We just came home on 11-9 we arrived 11-1.
The kids had a great time. But my DH and I learned alot of things. I wish do-overs where that simple. Maybe if we win the lottery!!! We plan on going back in 2008. Hopefully things will be better!!!"

"I also purchased the refillable mugs about 6 years ago @ AS Sport..following year came back used them...last year passed them on to a friend who had lost a couple of hers ..worked fine...and she was staying at PO..The ones we got @ CBR were the same as AS Sports (pink lids instead of purple only difference), don't know if that helped any "

I have got it now. She was nabbed by the OC Police for refillable mug violations!!!!! :happytv:

So, you are on one side of display & your DH is on other side of display with the stroller & while your 4 year old is putting the mug in the stoller, instead of on top the stroller, your DH didn't see that? :confused3

:lmao: So the excited 4 year old jumped out of the stroller and ran to the back of the stroller to stuff things inside of it, but you didn't see him do this.

It looks like you do have time and desire to make up stories because that is exactly what you are doing.

Man just when I thought I had it figured out she comes back to try and clarify things and it just gets more screwy. Better grab some more popcorn while the new developments get sorted out. popcorn::
