Well, when we got to the car, I discovered what had kept her so quietly occupied. She had taken about a dozen pairs of shoelaces from the display under the checkout, and stuffed them in her pants!!!
:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

And lets not forget that she was so concerned about the 4 year old that she ran out of the store after him, but then did not watch him go back into the store to give the stuff to the dad. If she had been watching she would have seen him take it to the stroller and not the dad. Also she did not walk back in with him. I guess he can only be hurt outside of stores not inside. :cloud9:

For some reason I think she was the one who really wanted to watch the parade and meet the mayor not the 4 yo. I mean she is the one who stayed in the doorway to finish watching the parade...

my thoughts exactly. who is the mayor? what does he look like?? why have i never heard of him after 5 trips to wdw in the last 10 yrs.

Now I do get my picture taken with the Mayor, he's a sweet old man. I'll see if I can post a pic of him. :)

There is a mayor of Toon Town and a mayor of Main Street. As of my last trip, they were both middle aged, balding, portly men, and you only knew they were the mayor if you were close enough to read the badge (Toontown) or sash (Main St.) that they were wearing, which said "Mayor".

Now, the Toon Town mayor does participate in the ToonTown Morning Madness event where you get to be made an honorary member of Toontown. So there is a chance that a chid could recognize the mayor from that.

But even as I type this, I realize, we where in DisneyLAND when we saw the mayors, so maybe there are no mayors in WDW after all.

Hmmm....the plot thickens.

My three year old is a major sticky fingers.

Her first crime occured when she was just 16 months old. I had her in the stroller, while we shopped at the mall. Our last stop was a Payless Shoe Store where I bought shoes for all three kids. Dd stayed in the stroller the entire time, and I even commented on how quiet and well behaved she was at checkout.

Wow now that is a cleaver cookie! I would have never thought of stuffing in my pants. Maybe sitting on them but not stuffing them.

OH. See I didn't go to toontown straight away this time around. Actually this past trip in Sept was my first time back there to meet all the characters so maybe that is why I've never heard of him. But wouldn't someone have posted on the Trip Planning Boards on when to be back there for the special ceremony or have I just missed all such posts since I joined in July??

Maybe I need to plan a trip to DL for this Sept. so I can meet said mayor.

I think it's some kind of travel agent package perk thing. We booked our last trip through AAA, and that's how we got them. You got into Toon Town an hour early, too, which was nice.

There is a character the "Mayor of Main St.". They actually have another character who is "campaigning" to be the new Mayor. We have only seen these gentlemen while eating at the Plaza Restaurant. The Mayor comes in and gives a certificate to the 100th family of the day.

Agreed, the story is whack!

I can't believe I'm helping this loony story but alas there really is a mayor of Main Street at WDW. My hubby the brown nose had to have his picture taken with him too. :sad2: I'd post it but I'm too lazy.

One day after a trip to Yankee Candle I went to take my son out of his stroller (he was maybe 2) and boy, he smelled great! He had about 6 tarts under his butt!!! I marched right back in and gave them to the clerk.

The Mayor of Mainstreet. I've seen him the last few years.

Ok. Well I'm glad I have someone new to stalk when I go back. Nothing like an unusual character.

Good for you to do the right thing. I on the other hand would have kept at least one if they were the christmas cookie scent. That is my favorite. :goodvibes

Let's hope there is a big age difference between your husband and the 4 year old - :rotfl2:

There must be a police report. I have never been arrested but I would think if I were I would at least come home with a report to give an attorney ?

Could the poster scan it and show it ??

I *think* we saw him too. I'm not sure though. :confused3

When DD14 and I went to Universal Studios, we saw Marilyn Monroe and "Brad Pitt." DD posed with MM, and then stood next to "Brad." Marilyn says, "Why do you want your photo with my bodyguard?" :lmao:

Did anyone else notice in "mommamouse's" first post, her grammer and spelling were terrible but then all of a sudden in the next few posts, she was spelling everything right and was using big words. In my opinion, the two posters are the same person! I love how someone pointed out the timeline! I felt like I was watching the O.J. trial all over again!!! I was wondering if Kato was anywhere near the Buzz ride to back up her alibi!!!

This is nuts...but I'm thoroughly enjoying it!!!

Can't wait to see what happens next!
