The ending is an absolutely perfect setup for any future Soprano projects. FABULOUS

I'll play devil's advocate. I loved it. Who opened the door when the bell rang? Maybe Meadow, maybe not ... maybe the three of them died three seconds later. Maybe it was just normal everyday business. Maybe it ended like it started, with the banality of everyday life, chasing ducks from the pool. I did really like "Don't Stop Believing" at the end. When Carmela's sitting down, "Just a small-town girl ..."

The show was about him. When he died, it all went blank.

You remember the conversation he had about how you don't hear the shot?

He looked up to see Meadow coming in, and the guy who went into the bathroom came back out with a gun and shot him in the head.
