The Sopranos final episodes (SPOILERS!!!)

I can't believe this...I just sat there and said you have got to be kidding me?

I am glad Tony is not dead, but...I don't know what I expected to happen...lol

I am so glad for the dis. I knew I could come here to see if my sat. went out or if that was truly the ending.

I have mixed feelings about the ending. Not sure if I am disappointed or not.

I thought it was going to be a reversal, and that Meadow was going to watch her family get it, as with the Godfather movie the daughter got it.

Totally disappointed!! Add me to the list of those who thought I lost my cable at the worst moment EVER!

Well I they did leave it open for possiblities of more seasons (wishful thinking) or a movie.....but I think that a movie would ruin it for me.

I NEED CLOSURE!!!!!!

Ummmm, Tony IS dead.

The show was about him. When he died, it all went blank.

You remember the conversation he had about how you don't hear the shot?

He looked up to see Meadow coming in, and the guy who went into the bathroom came back out with a gun and shot him in the head.

All I have to say to this is: Were we watching the same show???

After seeing the final episode of 24 I was kind of expecting to be disappointed again. My expectation was correct.
I thought my signal went out on the t.v. :sad2:

I thought it was going to be a reversal, and that Meadow was going to watch her family get it, as with the Godfather movie the daughter got it.

Well, IMO, that IS what happened, although I don't know if it was just Tony who was shot or the other two, as well.

I turned to DH and said -Let's call and cancel hbo right now! I guess it could be one of two ways- we were supposed to feel like you are always looking over your shoulder ect... Or the blank at the end was the fact that Tony did die. But I think I needed a more distinct ending. I needed an END. Not to be left hanging. But now I have not seen all the episodes this season. DH said he saw them filming outside of Sardi's in NYC. Did that ever show up this season? It was more recently so I was thinking it would be in the last few episodes but I didn't see it.
Disappointed - I got a kick out of the cat but that is about it. *oh and the whole car thing was gross but funny in a sick way.

All I have to say to this is: Were we watching the same show???

Yep.

To be honest, I'm totally shocked most people disagree with my assessment. It was totally obvious to me that Tony was killed in that moment. I guess it's equally obvious to others that the show just ended at a random point for no reason.:confused3 :rotfl:

My Husband is in the Satellite business...I turned to him as the screen went black and GLARED...he gave me the 'Huh'??? look...lol
Poor guy, this time it wasn't his fault!

Not thrilled with that ending!

At first I was let down. But then I was thinking, did I really want to see Tony get shot in the head , or worse did I really want to see the family get slaughtered? No. After thinking about it, I think it was a brilliant ending also, because so many things could have happened, those mentioned before or others----Tony's family sees him get killed, the whole family gets killed, Meadow watches her family get killed, --were those people really there to whack them or maybe they were not and nothing happened. And no music at the end--did the silence mean something--Tony's dead? THey placed so much importance on choosing the music for each episode--I think they even did an HBO special on it.

I can't believe it! The Seinfeld finale has finally been de-throned as the worst finale ever. The new king of that title is The Sopranos!

That whole episode was terrible. DH and I both thought it was boring (as many episodes in recent seasons have been!) I think that they have left it open for opportunities in the future. The theory of Tony being dead is an interesting one but who will ever know :confused3

They were really toying with us at the end there during the last five minutes or so.

Oh well....now it's on to John from Cincinatti.

I seriously am speechless!!! I turned to my husband when Meadow was parking the car and said that my heart was beating so hard that it actually hurt! I just can not believe that.

The only good thing is that we are going to start over watching Season 1.:)

My DW has an interesting take on the ending.

Chase just screwed all the odds makers in Vegas on "Does Tony Live or Die?"

OH my gosh... what the heck... was it the ending? Did he get shot? This is the worst series finale EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I am on board with TinkerbellMama... that synopsis hits the nail right on the head... I was mad until I read that post... now I have closure, lol.

Did that just feel like a slap in the face or what????-
