The so-so trip..March madness is at WDW *Updated 7/27* Final thoughts

I LOVE Chefs de france. I always let these guys keep crawling along as I will not eat them! :snail: Here's what I would look like if I did :scared1:

Love the late night photos! Good thing you didn't wet yourself in the laundry room but the men's room was next door so just in case you needed to avail yourself in a fit of laughter....

You young thing! I was in kindergarten in 1969! ;) And they say women never reveal their ages!

Sad to see this TR coming to an end but looking forward to your PTR!

I've never given much thought to an ADR at Chefs but, after looking at your pictures, I may have to. The food looks so good!

I'm sorry but I'm giggling at the thought of you hearing "everything" that was going on in that bathroom. At least you had a little entertainment while doing laundry.

:rotfl2: I grab them up.
Thanks. it was being occupied so I could not go in there. :)
:rotfl2: I do not feel young.
Thanks.

We have always enjoyed our meals there.
I could not believe it. :confused3

Our last day upon us. We packed up and you can see the time we started heading out.

When we walked outside we had another surprise.

It was raining.

We then brought our luggage up to the front and checked into the airline and then dropped off the carry-ons with luggage services to be picked up later. Soon enough we were walking through and seeing this.

We were just here but we had lunch plans for here. We walked around a little.

I love seeing this.

Look at the line for Spaceship Earth. Yikes.

It still looks wonderful even in the rain.

One more look at Tink.

I loved the entire OZ theme. I thought they did a great job.

Then it was time to go and lunch. Our choice for dining was here.

I think the grounds outside of the restaurant are so gorgeous.

Just in case you forgot where we were. LOL

I love this pic.

I am going to stop here for pic limit.

Up next,

We eat and we fly

I am sitting here with my legs crossed trying not to think of you "hearing everything" in the next room. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

F&G looks beautiful at night; we only saw it during the day time. One of these days we will have to make a return trip and stay through the night.

1969? Seriously? I was in 6th or 7th grade by then. :faint:

I don't think I have ever seen the line that long for Spaceship Earth! Sorry it was raining on your last day.

Can't wait to hear about your lunch at LeCellier to see how it compares to our last meal there in 2011.

Now when we got back I went down to laundry and I hate when people leave their laundry and go away and take forever to come back. I took theirs out of the machines and did ours. Vinny came down to see me and it took a long time. I did go for a walk. Stopped to use the restroom next to the laundry room. Now there were 2 workers in the laundry room. I went outside to wait for the laundry and then 10 minutes later went in and it still wasn’t dry. I was transferring to another dryer when they left and I heard the men’s room door open. As I was sitting there transferring the laundry (less than 2 minutes) let’s say he was very vocal and I could here everything through the air vent. I was laughing so hard I thought I was going to wet myself and I didn’t want to walk in there. I then went outside and sat down and 2 minutes later he came out and walked towards the main building and a few minutes later she came out and continued cleaning. I couldn’t tell her I could hear her as she spoke no English. I had tears from it all I laughed so hard. Finally I got the laundry done, folded and put upstairs and I then walked around the resort and sat at the pool. The pic below was taken at 3am. I wasn’t alone there as a couple of women were sitting by the pool having drinks.
Oh, what amuses us.:lmao:
I had to cross reference and see if Nebo was there at the same time. Nebo's wife went down to sleep by the pool, she saw 2 ladies talking by the pool.

That last picture is literally perfect. WOW! You know I always enjoy your pics but that is truly pro looking.

Too funny about your eavesdropping experience while in the laundry room. :rotfl2:

Bummer that its you last day. At least you got some more Epcot time with lunch at Le Cellier!

Le Cellier...yum...I cantaste that cheddar cheese soup and the tenderloin. I have never seen a line that long for see...was it broken down? Last days are so sad...bout you will be back soon:cool1:

I'm thinking that a rainy day is an appropriate end to a trip since it matches the "I don't want to leave" mood closely!

Le Cellier is an awesome last meal at WDW!

Lovely lavender flower photo! That's an entry in a county fair contest waiting to happen. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: it was very funny. I could not believe it.
It was very pretty all lit up.
:rotfl2: Vinny was in college when I was being born. :scared1:
it was the 2nd time we have seen it long like that. The rain did not stop us.
Coming up soon.

Oh, what amuses us.:lmao:

:)
:rotfl2: I would be afraid of sleeping there as people would walk by me laughing. I have a mind like that. :confused3

Thank you. It is my favorite pic.
I still laugh when I remember it.
We did make the most of the last day as we could.

The soup is my favorite thing there. I now make it at home and love it.
I don't think it was broken down as I do remember it was moving slowly.
130 days.

Last days are always so sad :sad1: but at least you booked a primo meal!
:thumbsup2

I hate flying when it rains though.
Thank you

Vinny checked us in and then were soon called in. They brought out the bread. These pretzels are so good.

So then the really good stuff came. I have lost the receipt so no idea how much or what Vinny had.

Scott:
App: Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup - made with Moosehead Beer and Bacon $7.49

Ent: Lobster Macaroni and Cheese - with Mascarpone $10.00
That is a side but I had it as an entrée along with.

I also had this as an entrée which also was a side.
Poutine Fries - Canadian Cheddar, truffle salt and red wine reduction $8.00

Vinny:
Ent: I have no idea what it was.

The meal was very good but the fries were disgusting. I do not think it is worth the 2 credit status but I will go with the TIW and have apps and sides as a meal.

Then we started to head out. He had a Southwest credit that had to be used or lose it so he booked himself to go home on it so he was on another flight than me. .

I walked around a little more.

Mine, Mine, Mine.

We got back to POP and grabbed our carry-ons and he said goodbye and then I was alone. I stayed by the entrance in that small room where the tv is and a video game. It turns out the game is Donley Kong. I LOVE THAT GAME. I played for a little while and then it was time to the Magical Express.

I went to the benches to sit and wait. I met 2 other families from the NY area. As I sat there I got a text my flight was now delayed. A few minutes later I got another text it was again delayed. I was not happy.

Then the ME came and I was on my way to the airport.

I got the front row.
Then I got to the airport and soon was on the monorail.

As you can see the delay was not from Orlando but it was coming from NY. It was pouring up there. Here are some planes leaving.

Now as I sat there I got another text it was delayed even more. Now I am at a 3 hour delay. I hate NY airports.

Now I will give Jetblue a lot of credit here. They put out snacks, drinks (soda and water) for all of us and it was free. You can also take as much as you want. I talked to a couple ladies who were down there with their grandkids and nieces and nephews. They were so nice and helped pass the time but they were flying into JFK and their plane was leaving. For some reason our plane was the one delayed the longest. No reason why it just was.

I was supposed to leave around 7:15ish and arrive around 9:35ish but the next pic was taken at 9:38.

That is the plane deplaning.

At 10:02 I was on the plane and hoping to be leaving soon.

We sat there and finally were airborne at around 10:50.

The flight the pilot was going to be quick. 1 hour 50 minutes once up in the air and it was quick.

Soon I was almost there.

Then we were there.

This picture was taken at 12:38. The airport as we taxi to the gate.

Originally Vinny was supposed to land and take a cab home because he would be landing hours before me. He had a layover in Atlanta because they changed his flight and did not tell him. LOL.

When he got to Atlanta he heard his name being called on the pa system. He went over and the lady said they were calling him for 15 minutes but he never heard it. They put him on an Airtran flight and it was being held so he could board. The people there must have loved him. LOL.

So I went down to get my bag and I text him to tell him I landed and he said he was still there, we landed within 15 minutes of each other. The weather was really bad before we got there. I waited for my bag and he was asking where his bag was as it was not on the carousel. Turns out it was there from the afternoon on the original plane he was to be on and they were wondering where he was. So they got it out for him from the cage it was locked in and then I got my bag and was not happy.

The top part was all ripped up and the mickey head luggage tag I had was gone. NOT HAPPY!!!!

We then left and got in a cab and went home.

I did email Jetblue about the delays and why my plane was not going and everyone else’s was and the ripped bag. I was told I should have reported the bag at the airport but honestly if I spoke to anyone there I would have been screaming and then they gave me a $50 credit.

The End!!!

Okay not really.

Up next,

Final thoughts

Sorry to hear that there were flight delays and even sorrier to see that your bag was torn. I bet that somebody wanted the Mickey luggage tag off of it and ripped the whole thing off. :(

Delayed planes mmm.... When we went to Universal this Spring our flight outs Buffalo was delayed about 2 or 3 hours !! Of course had we checked before leaving home we would not have had the LONG wait !! But it did provide a good TR title !!!!As Judy hit the bar at 9:30 a:rotfl2:She usually has trouble with her ears on flights , but this time NOTHING :rotfl2:So she may have found a cure for AIR ears :rotfl2:

I agree about the 2 TS fo Le Cellier . I love the cheese soup and your idea with the sides !! Mmmm may have to try that

Can't believe the trip report is almost over. How did it go buy so quickly? At least you have a new trip in the pipeline so we won't have to wait long for another TR :thumbsup2

Omg… the laundry room episode… hahahaha… :rotfl2:

Le Cellier looks yummy! We haven't been there yet. I can't eat pork, but the Cheddar Soup just looks so good. Can you have the bacon held, or is it all in the soup as well as on top? :confused3

What a MESS with the flight issues! :worried: That's just a headache after leaving Disney. No matter how it was, it was still vacation and you don't need to have such a struggle to get home!

Le Cellier looks good but I agree not worth 2 dining credits. I hate flight delays, JFK seems to have a lot of them.

We have found that since LeCellier wen to a Signature restaurant (2 TS credits), it has gone downhill. We would go for the soup and bread only (much prefer Yachtsman for our steaks).

I hate flight delays and I hate when they don't give you an explanation of why.

Too funny about Vinny not hearing his name and his flight changed.

That's awful what happened to your luggage. They are so careless with the bags (my brand new one that Andy got me for Mother's Day already has a huge scratch in it!).

Will anxiously await the wrap-up.

I need to make sure I get some of the soup during the Food & Wine Festival! I don't know that I want to use 2 credits on dining there! :sad2:
