The snow is here!

DH finally made it to work - we live in Essex and he works at Heathrow so on the underground it took him the best part of 3 hours = he rang before he left to say he would try to get in and they told him they were short staffed so went with spare clothes etc so if he arrived wet he could change. When he got there he found out that collegues that only live 10 minutes away had not come in!!! and is not very happy :guilty not sure how he is going to get home, did take spare clothes so maybe he will have to spend the night. I will not sleep tonight until he gets home which should be around 11.30 p.m.

On the brighter side just had a text to say the school that I work at is closed tomorrow as well, so another day off!!! I also expect the boys school to be closed as well.

Although its only just starting to get heavy it has been snowing practically all day.

Lovely photos, although as usual the media are making this into a bigger deal than it is - its only snow, us "up North" get it every year!

At least it makes a welcome break from them talking about the economy all the time

Thats happened to me before, although I live close to where I work, so do others yet i'm usually the only one to turn up & we don't even get a thanks.

I work in a supermarket which is in a shopping centre. The center will close in weather like this but we have to stay open

I'm loving the snow - I've already constructed my snow Mickey - although he looks more like a seal!
I'm not loving all the rail/ road disruption though - NIGHTMARE!

Its bad here today, it took DH nearly 3 hours to get to work this morning usually takes less than 15 minutes, he left our house at 7.25 am and got to work at 10.05 am the trafffic was at a standstill, we have had a letter to listen to our local radio station as DS school may close 2moro

Slowed down abit here now, all the boroughs around here have shut the schools, including the one i work at...although doesn't effect me anyway. I cant even go out and play, because can't get my foot in a shoe...grrr.

I swear it's raining now, or at least it's the horrible sleet stuff. Which isn't good, I need to go to Londis to stock up on milk and such, I have such a chocolate craving, I'm scared if I don't go soon the craving will go... and I really want chocolate!!

Plenty of books about them but no live ones for some reason.

Might have to be shanks' pony for me tomorrow, depending on the forecast for the afternoon.
