Thanks for dancing with me everyone! I was really excited until DH announced that he lost 10 lbs. Stupid boys and their faster metabolism

I could live on microwave popcorn and pringles so it's been a rough week. But the weight loss was a motivation to keep with it until WDW!! Sorry for all the talk of junkfood Jham!!! (btw, hope your house is ok...is the fire still going??? Hope the kiddos had a good first day at school)

I did get a lot done on my to-do list this weekend so I'm feeling more prepared for my trip. One more outfit to sew...but it is cut out and appliqued already.

Moonk'sMom- I ended up CASEing you and making the bag covers for the autograph book bag. My DH now truly believes I'm insane!

Beka- Let's definately plan on a shopping trip when we get home from Florida. A little early holiday shopping perhaps???

Ok so yes I'm still reading along with your thread some! First off congrats on the 6.5 lbs. That is awesome. I so need to do that this week, lol. Ummm I doubt it happens.

Secondly, are you all going on Tuesday night, the 9th to the MNSSHP? And what is your dd dressing up as?

Thirdly, have you seen about Gustav? I'm sooo stinkin nervous. I'm praying it goes straight out into the Gulf and does not turn northward at all towards FL.

No we are going on the 12th. DD is going to be Princess Leia. I'm going to be Dorothy if I can stand the thought of putting on the costume in that heat! ( I have a MNSSHP thshirt just in case)

So it says it's like 85 there If it's like that the whole time we are there then that will be pretty fantastic! I think I can deal with some rain but Yahoo weather indicates thunderstorms Not a great time to be hurling through space on a giant metal contraption

I have gone for 5 Septembers in a row. It ALWAYS predicts Thunderstorms. We haven't had one yet...or at least one that has shut down anything. We did have quite a rainstorm at MK last year. It was the first time ever that we had to pull out our Ponchos. Spectro was cancelled and Tink didn't fly during WISHES that night but they even do the fireworks in the rain. Make sure to have plenty of ponchos and you'll be fine.

We are just wearing t-shirts to MNSSHP this year. Last year we were WAY too hot in our polyester costumes. Although, I was willing to suffer this year to be dressed up, but no one else wanted to, so shirts it is!

Personally, I'm going to try not to worry about it but I will keep checking the forecast 90 times a day like I did when Katrina was coming. It looks like its going to make landfall Tuesday morning west of Florida. Your flights might be affected so make sure you are checking your airlines. I'm more worried about "tropical depression 8 right now" That's ones heading right toward Florida.

Darn it...it's now got a name!!! This isn't good. Tropical Storm Hanna. What a pretty name for such a mess

BTW, for those who requested it: I have no pictures of the Dorothy costume yet because I haven't finished putting it together. Its not a "real" costume. I got a dress on the clearance rack at Target (that I don't know who would wear as a real dress but to each their own) for $8. I saw it and thought "DOROTHY"...perfect. (My DH later pointed out that I also could have been Belle or Alice in Wonderland if I got an apron but since my first thought is Dorothy...I'm going with it) I then went to payless and got red comfy shoes from American Eagle that were clearanced to $3. I'm going to glitter them up this weekend. I have a little basket and DD's Puppy to play the part of Toto. And I have ribbons for my traditional "Disney" braids. SOOOO, if it's not to hot (the dress is lined so it's heavy), I will actually wear it. If not, I'm only out $11!
