Leonsmom asked about my camera. The castle pic was actually taken with a Canon Powershot P&S. I used to use a film SLR but when I had DD I had to abandon it (you need digital with kiddos...and I certainly didn't have the cash laying around for a DSLR). Well, this year I decided that I "needed" one and DH agreed so I got a Canon Rebel DSLR. I can not WAIT to try it at Disney. The only pics on my PTR that were taken with it was the pics of DD's customs. The rest were taken with the Powershot. I'm actually going to bring both to Disney...because I'm that crazy

I hate my camera right now. I've been meaning to go get another one but the vast amount of choices out there send me into a tizzy!

I have a digital fuji that freezes a frame and you think you that that is the shot you are taking but no you actually take a shot a few seconds later. Hence I have many shots of my DD7 bubbles after she had entered the pool but the camera froze a frame of her in the air jumping.

Plus all action shots are fuzzy. So unless your subject is willing to sit perfectly still for 4-8 seconds you have a blurry shot.

But I loved my old fuji. The camera lens cover broke and we sent it into fuji to get fixed. They "lost it" and replaced it with a newer "refurbished" model.

So now I am camera shy.

Ya, that is a problem with a lot of Digital cameras (that you get the shot after you "take" the shot) but I haven't noticed it to be too much of an issue in my Canon p&s. My DSLR doesn't do it at all of course because that's the nature of the camera.

Can I just say that I hate the three week mark? I have made all my purchases (which I will post pics of if everyone is interested), all my lists are made, my tshirts are made, most of my customs are finished, all of the travel documents are in, there is NOTHING to do. I feel silly packing already (although lets be honest, DD is wearing all brand new clothes so I really could pack her now).

We've started watching our nightly Disney movies (to get in the mood )and DD has watched YouTube and the planning video a gazillion times. Luckily Samantha Brown was on last night so it gave us something different to watch. OH and DD announced yesterday that she wants to go to the water parks this trip. We have never gone to the water parks. We don't have water parks and more tickets. Oh well, once we get to MK, I'm sure that she'll be distracted.

I love your customs, they are so cute. I am so inspired to start being more crafty!

I feel the same way and I am at the almost two week mark. Though I still have another tshirt or two to make but I am dragging my feet. Don't ask me why, I don't know. I think I am going to start packing this weekend, at least get all of the things I won't be using packed.

WOW!!! I love love love your pics! I HAD a Canon G5 but it JUST crapped out on me on my Germany trip. I don't think we can afford a new one before WDW , so my Pentax p&s will have to do.
You're not nuts for taking both cameras - I would do the same.

Thank you! Isn't the bear cub so cute??? Our zoo just built this brand new exhibit for him and his brother...some idiot had them as "pets" So our zoo got them. DD is thrilled with them.

I'm going to take the P&S for the character meals. It will make life a lot easier not to have to set up a shot when the characters spend 2 seconds at your table.

(two things to note, I plan on seeing what anti-chafing/blister stuff works best- hence two different ones....also, I don't plan on drugging my child. If you haven't been following my saga on the Disboutique thread, my DD has been suffering from really bad headaches for the past 6 weeks. The headaches have been accompanied by nausea/motion sickness. So we tried Benedryl Allergy/Sinus to see if it was sinus pressure causing the headaches/nausea and while she is still having the headaches occassionaly, the nausea is gone so we are taking the Benedryl to Florida with us just in case.)

Way too many Ponchos and Misty Mates for everyone

yes, don't you think it will look just gorgeous on him??? Actually he has the Disney one and a bunch of other Disney/Muppets ones. Luckily, I have a DH who is willing to wear Disney shirts! I printed out the transfers to make him a Red Sox Goofy and Patriots Mickey so I have to go buy shirts for those tomorrow.

So now I have to decide if I want to wear the shoe one to CRT OR 1900 Park Fare dinner. Decisions, Decisions.

BTW...have a great trip!!!!
