I got caught in a link from the POTD thread. And I got sucked in. I sat here and read the whole thing.

I (44) will be going next in May 2009, staying at the POP. With my younger sis (41) and her oldest daughter (18). I'm glad I found your TR. It's giving me a little insight. And a few laughs. To say the least.

So glad you are enjoying my report. Mom and I will be at POP May 09 as well, maybe we will see you around.

When you were on Toy story, did you see any little kids on there like say 8 month olds that the parents were holding, or do they not allow this?

On important fact that lessa forgot to mention was that when Erich and I were waiting in line for our food the cashier lady thought myself and Erich looked like important people must have been our manly chiseled raw physiques and mistook us for some sort of UFC title holder

After the parade we still had a bit of time before our fastpasses for Toy Story were up so we decided to go on The Great Movie Ride. We hadn't gone on this the year before and Alek had vague memories of it from our 1997 trip, I didn't remember it at all.

Some pictures from the queue which was deceptively long, I think we ended up being in line for 30 minutes or so.

I don't have much to say about the ride, it was alright but not something I am in a hurry to experience again. The Alien scene was a bit disappointing as Alek remembered an alien jumping out at you and that never happened.

After this ride our fastpasses for Toy Story were finally up! The fastpass line was so short we waltzed right through it.

I rode with Mom again and did a bit better than the first time.

When we got off the ride Alek was really upset. It turns out that their side of the car was not working. Apparently all through the ride their guns wouldn't work. Alek says he was screaming at it during the ride, I didn't hear him though. When he got off the ride he told the CM what happened so that they wouldn't seat anybody else there and the CM just sort of shrugged it off. When we got outside I told Alek that if he was really upset by it and if the CM didn't seem like he listened to him that he should report it to guest services. Alek didn't want to though, he said he didn't want to cause a scene. He said I should do it though since I apparently have no problem doing that sort of thing. Needless to say we didn't inform guest services of what happened concerning the ride breaking down and the subsequent rudeness of the CM ignoring Alek when he told him about the malfunction. Erich was his usual self and didn't really say anything about it. Erich never really does say anything about being upset though, he is the peacekeeper in the family.

Well that sucks that TSM was broken. I can't imagine it's much if your shooter doesn't work.

The photos of Great Movie Ride are wonderful! I really enjoyed that one.

You are making me want to document my brothers the next time they go on vacation with us. That could come in handy to have some photo evidence of things they do. At 32 they still behave the same way yours do!!!

ETA: I just saw the update!!! Such a bummer about the TSM ride not working right. What a strange CM. Why would he want to put someone on a ride that doesnt work? Weird.

About the guns not working. You should have gone to guest services, I bet they would have made it right...like they did with us and Spalsh Mountain!
