The Silly and Mischievous Adventures of Four Crazy Canucks - FINAL THOUGHTS 2/1

After getting just a little bit wet on Splash Mountain the skies decided to open up and rain down on us again.

We decided to head to Pirates of the Caribbean next but before we did that I suggested something else. Earlier when we were on our way to Splash Mountain after viewing Dream Along With Mickey I had noticed Captain Hook was out for pictures near Aloha Isle. Luck was on our side and Captain Hook was still there. He was tucked away in a small covered area just around the corner from Aloha Isle (think Dole Whips). The line was not too long either, I think we waited 5 minutes at the most.

After our meeting with one pirate we were off to see another much better looking pirate.

It had slowed to a drizzle again so I took some pictures of the area.

Again we had no wait to get on the ride, Erich attempted to take pictures but they did not turn out all that well. He should have let me use his camera after my success taking pictures on Splash without the flash.

After the ride we spent quite a bit of time browsing in the gift shop.

Mom kept trying to buy me pirate hats to wear on our cruise in May but I did not see any that I really liked. Alek and Erich were still fooling around in the store so I borrowed Erich's camera and went out and took some pictures as it had stopped raining and was sunny again.

I found a very pretty and very secluded courtyard near Pirates. There are a few benches back there and a fountain and lots and lots of flowers. A great place to go if you are looking to escape from the crowds for a bit.

I eventually met up with the family again once I was done taking pictures and they were done with their shopping. We decided that the next ride to go to would logically be the Jungle Cruise as it is right next to Pirates. This ride had a bit of a line, maybe 20 minutes or so. I got lots of pictures in the queue and on the ride. Here are a few:

Our skipper was not all that funny but I didn't mind as I was mostly focused on getting pictures. I always read reports of people getting really hilarious skippers, I have yet to get one, I wish I would though, it would make the ride much more enjoyable.

I must say every time we went on the Disney jungle cruise I enjoyed the skippers. First time with the cynical depressing girl who told us we too could waste years in college to be a guide on that boat for minimum wage and this guy who seemed not to give a flying hoot about his job and was listing off awesome puns left and right

Also on another note I noticed that novelty shot classes were a HUGE thing at Disney and you could buy one anywhere for nearly anything

btw after hook we went to see another more handsome pirate??? Who??? Davy Jones ?

Well if all other plans fail I suppose they can have a career as Jungle Cruise skippers. Then Alek can be just like that female skipper he feel in love with last year.

Yeah i'm somewhat surprised Lessa forgot this. At the entrance of Pirates of the Caribbean THE RIDE a Disney person asked me to take a piece of plastic to a dude at the end of the line. At the end of the line I gave the guy the plastic thingy he said thanks.
He got a huge smile on his face and said SURPRISE you won a night in the castle.
I was like OMG.
Since most Americans can't do math he gave me his 3rd grade math question to answer. It was quite easy.

10a + b -1/3c= -6
2a - 3b + 1/7c =32/5
-5/2a + 1/4c = 19/4

He gave me this and told me I have to solve it with substitution or elimination.

I did it and I won the night. Although I did end up giving the castle up since I thought another family deserved it more than us since we were already living in the super fancy pop hotel.

Then the guy said thanks and told us to move along.

Lessa was kinda pissed off after that.

Note to the brothers...if you had really givenup the night in the castle, you would have 38ish of Lessa closest friends hunting you down like dogs
