The Silly and Mischievous Adventures of Four Crazy Canucks - FINAL THOUGHTS 2/1

Great pics again!
Have you visited my Enchanted TR lately. I posted a pic for your brothers.;) I haven't gotten that far on my TR over here yet.

Nope sorry, I just assumed it was going at the same pace as over here. I'll have to go investigate now. :magnify:

Hi Lessa ! No offense taken by The Bros Math!! Just been busy and my Dis time has been very soradic!!

Well you are not really
American so it is assumed that you can do math. ;)

I for one am very offended by the American's can't do math comment.:snooty:

Everyone knows 2+2=5.:rotfl: :rotfl:

:teacher: :lmao:

Still here. Just been feeling under the weather even more.. if it's even possible.

Just once I'd like to talk pirates and not end up in a math discussion...

Thanks for the update, Lessa. Made me Monday morning.

I'm sorry, is it still what happened last week or are you sick?

I have a "cyst" in my sinuses. Still waiting to see a specialist. My appt is tomorow. And I've been on sick leave for about 1 month and a half. But have to go back on wednesday cuz apparently my students are wrecking havoc and not doing any work.

How honorable of Erich to give up his night in the castle to a deserving family! If I were Lessa, and that really happened...well I would have one less brother ;)

The courtyard pics are neat. I never noticed that place either!

We had the best skipper on the last Jungle Cruise ride I took - he was so ridiculously funny. I like it when they throw in their own jokes aside from the same Disney script I've heard 100 times.

Had to add that I didn't take offense to the math comment...I nearly failed that last math class I took, which was Algebra, about 10 years ago  I do not have a mind for math.....

I would have MURDERED them if they won a night in the castle and gave it up. I don't think they could really be that mean though.

I can't believe I haven't replied to your report yet! I've been ejoying it. Your pictures are fantastic!

I was just out of state., no offense taken... You have to do some sort of math problem to win prizes, right? :)

Beautiful floral pictures - it's amazing how great Disney does at things most people never really "see" if you KWIM. ;)

how exactly do you get to the pirate courtyard?? that looks like an awesome place to chill!!

great update.!

Yep in Canada when you win a prize you have to answer a skill-based math question, even if it is a small prize like a free ice cream cone that you won in the McDonald's monopoly game. It is due to some sweepstakes law about how prizes have to be merit based. :confused3 The questions are usually pretty easy 4+(5x3)-12=?

I agree, there is so much detail that some people just don't see because it is always rush rush rush.

The courtyard is built into the Pirates building, it is really easy to not notice. It is between the entrance to the ride and the gift shop.

Yep. True about the month. When I won the lanyard by mail, I had to answer a question.

After the Jungle Cruise we stopped at a refreshment stand in Adventureland for some ice cream. I didn't get anything but I did have a taste of Alek's citrus swirl and it was delicious! Yum Yum!

After savouring our tasty treats we headed back to check and see if the Haunted Mansion was up and running yet, and it was! The line was fairly long though but we all really wanted to ride this as we had not been on it last year due to its being down for refurbishment. The line was long but it moved at a steady pace so it wasn't too bad. Here are some pictures that we took while waiting.

The gravestones are hilarious, if you haven't before you should take a moment to check them out next time you are in line.

When we got into the stretching room Erich was able to get a few quick pictures (without flash) before a CM barked at him to turn his camera off. Not sure what the problem was as he wasn't using a flash and it was set on silent mode so wasn't making any noise either. Oh well.

While in the stretching room a little boy began to FREAK OUT. He was screaming and crying and sounded absolutely terrified. When it came time for us to move to the loading area the CM's helped the family take him out of the ride. Poor kid, must have been scared to death.

The ride was fun, I especially liked the hitchhiking ghosts.

We were starting to get hungry so we decided it was time to head to our dinner destination which was outside of the park. Mom really wanted to ride the train so we decided to take a ride around the park on it and got off at the main entrance. We caught it from the nearest station in Frontierland, waited maybe 10 minutes for it to arrive and then we were on our way.

When we disembarked at the Main St station this is the view we were greeted with:

It got really cloudy and rainy in only a few minutes as it was sunny when we started our train ride. On went the ponchos as we hurried over to City Hall. We wanted to stop in there to make sure that Alek and Erich's tickets were working and they would be able to get back into the park without any hassle. You will remember that their cards were not working that morning when they tried to enter the park. Silly us didn't really think about the fact that we had been using them all day to get fast passes. Duh!

Anyways we all tromped into City Hall and Mom and I confused the heck out of the poor guest relations CM. We finally got across what the problem was and what we wanted and she verified that their tickets were okay and we would have no problems getting back in. With that confirmed we were off to catch the monorail!

After our quick monorail ride we arrived at our destination, the Poly! I thought it would be a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the park and I really wanted to check out the resort and there was one other thing I had to do while there. ;)

The first thing we did was check out the gift shop that is to your right as you enter the building from the monorail platform. I bought a cup there, it is a holographic cup with Mickey and the gang watching Wishes and as you move the cup the fireworks appear.

Our next stop was the Tambu Lounge so I could try the famous Lapu Lapu.

I am sorry to say that I did not like it. Maybe the bartender did not make it correctly but this drink was definitely not the "heaven in a pineapple" that I am always hearing about, it was actually really bitter tasting. Oh well, I tried it at least once!

Mom also got a drink, hers was really tasty! She got the Pina CoLava. Yum!

Alek and Erich were not with us while we were getting our drinks. What sort of trouble could they have been getting up to?

Lucky that it was still sunny while you were in the park! :)

We have a couple of those Wishes cups - D got them at DTD once when he flew in to Orlando for work. They're fun!

I am curious but also nervous about the brothers' activities... ;)

What's with the picture of the knocked over plant? Was that from the harsh Florida storm winds or just part of the themeing at HM? :scratchin
Poor little kid. I think the stretching room is the scariest part of HM. The part where it goes black and there's that loud scream always freaks me out!
I still have yet to try a Lapu Lapu but I have high hopes. Someday! I've had a few of those pina colavas though and they are delightful :thumbsup2

It is definitely part of the themeing.

I had to try the Lapu Lapu as it is pretty much the official drink of the Fockers. I guess since I didn't like it I am not a real Focker.
