The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

Hey....I don't hear you saying you would love to meet the KatMark family. And don't you dare rag on my Cubbies (even if they do deserve it).

One big Dismeet at a Cubs game. I love it.

Your Cubbies?? My son would have to differ with you on that.....yesterday he had me order for him Chicago Cubs license plates. As of yesterday there are official State of Illinois license plates - they are blue with the Cubs logo. He got "Mark" as his plate number.

Here is a picture of his car in last summers parade

41009_1567868762394_1405683121_31534964_6463749_n.jpg

He has magnetic trim with the Cubs logo, both of his back side windows have 2 or 3 decals, his back window had a big Cubs logo and one of those baseballs that looks like it has cracked the window, the back has got a silver decal and some other magnetic and peel on decals, and of course there is a cubbie antenna topper. the flags were added just for the parade - he doesn't usually have them (although the do appear from time to time). Oh and the windows were rolled down because during the parade the radio was blaring "Go Cubs Go!" :lmao::lmao:

For the record, no, we didn't drop him on his head as a child, he suffers from a severe genetic condition - both sides of the family have the "Cubs fan gene" and when it got to him he had an intense reaction to it. :confused3

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: That is too funny.

We exited Dinoland and made it back to the Tree of Life. What shall we do?

We are heading back to the safari to use those FP we picked up earlier.
Time for a snack.

We were thinking ice cream and I made the comment I have never had a Mickey bar. Well B and A both thought that wrong should be corrected. We found a cart in Africa.

Mickey bars for everyone. Here is my first bite.Mmmmmm good.

We sit by the entrance to the Pangani Exploration Trail. We finish our Mickey bars and decide to walk the trail.
The okapi.

We make it to the area where the naked mole rats are and here is the “office desk”

Anyone ever notice this?

It was finally time to use those FP on the safari? Would the animals be more active this time?

Mmmmm, Mickey bars

Love the gorillas, I could watch them for hours!

The Mickey bar was pretty good. :goodvibes

I have spent and will again spends lots of time watching those gorillas.:lovestruc They are fascinating creatures.

I bet they were surprised that you had never had a Mickey bar!
I like them, but I don't love them. The chocolate coating is a little too thick for me. Most people love that about them, though, I am pretty sure.

Great wildlife pictures! You know of my love for Animal Kingdom. :)

I love the trail in AK - and I know whose tent this is, it isn't poachers. It is a research outpost, but unfortunately they did leave it unattended and the gorillas had a look at it. You will see that their pots and pans are sometimes being seen in the gorilla compound.

It is the backstory for the containers they use to feed the gorillas and which can also be used by them to play with. :thumbsup2 They change these daily in order to keep it interesting for the gorillas, but they all look like they come from the tent. We learned that on the Wild by Design tour. :thumbsup2

wow you got alot of pics of animals butts.
:lmao:

Would love to visit, meet the Fauntleroy Fam and take in a game at Wrigley. The only problem is there is no way I can fathom a guess right now when that might could be, so no help with trying to order tickets before the season. Maybe late in the season, when the Cubs are out of the race (like May or June ;) ) I can visit and we can grab some tix the day of the game.......
not a problem, last year tickets were available well into the season...we went to a game at the end that was about 60% full.

you can come too, i am inviting you:thumbsup2
Oh don't cry Dan. How are you going to explain the Liesa greeting he gives you to Candi?:rotfl2:
true very true.:sad2:

One big Dismeet at a Cubs game. I love it.
you coming?
:thumbsup2

I spent a fair amount of time on those trails and have to say, there IS quite a lot to see! but I didn't see the can of DOOM! :lmao: That's great! There's a laundry soap in the CIS (former USSR) called BARF. We always had to get a picture of it when we ran across it.

Anyway, you took some great pictures, Pat!! Gorillas are so fun to watch, but who doesn't love to stare at a hippos butt?? Good one! :lmao: And for the record, I see more pix of that end of things in TRs than the front end. Why is that?? Do you think they know??

I have never walked the animal trails at AK. We are always too busy trying to get to all the shows and rides. Maybe we can take time to see the animals next time.

Living in NYC, I think we could use some "Doom". ;)

Your first Mickey Bar! :woohoo: They are tasty, aren't they? Anything Mickey shaped usually tastes pretty good....and no calories!

:yay::yay::yay::yay:

Now i just have to figure a way to get down there myself, either with or without the family.

I casually mentioned it to DD since I know she would have off a week before school starts, DS does not, and she has a NYE party she goes to with friends and does not want to miss it.

DS would do it but I would have to come back on the 1st.

DH- well right now forgettaboutit. He does not want to hear the D word.
I need some of Jackie's special potion. I am hoping for a F& W trip with him to start the conversion. :lmao: Bringing him when i know it super crowded would not be good, unless he stayed in the room or just out of the parks the whole time.
:rotfl:

I hope you are able to get it! Even if you come solo, plenty of DISers to hang with from time-to-time too!

I cannot even fathom skipping DISNEY WORLD for a party!

I  Mickey Bars!

The gorilla's expression cracks me up!

That Gorilla looks a little sad. He may need a hug. Maybe the other gorillas were leaving him out of some gorilla games?

Either that or he is fed up and is getting ready to fling poo.:rotfl2:

I like them, but I don't love them. The chocolate coating is a little too thick for me. Most people love that about them, though, I am pretty sure.

I know in the heat they get real messy. I enjoyed and would have one again but I would take a zebra dome, or key lime tart or tye dye cheese over a mickey bar.

Great wildlife pictures! You know of my love for Animal Kingdom. :)

More bottoms than tops, as always but the hippo getting out was a rare sight. :scared1:

Wow that is great. I did not know that. When I spotted the tent I could not figure out, other than scenery why it was placed there. Of course Disney had a story to go along with it. :goodvibes

:lmao:

I get as many of those as I do the "African blur" :rotfl2:

I haven't been to a baseball game in ages. All we have here is the minors.
I may need to take a road trip. :cool1:
