The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

I spent a fair amount of time on those trails and have to say, there IS quite a lot to see! but I didn't see the can of DOOM! :lmao: That's great! There's a laundry soap in the CIS (former USSR) called BARF. We always had to get a picture of it when we ran across it.
BARF :rotfl2::rotfl2:
Another reason to go back.
Anyway, you took some great pictures, Pat!! Gorillas are so fun to watch, but who doesn't love to stare at a hippos butt?? Good one! :lmao: And for the record, I see more pix of that end of things in TRs than the front end. Why is that?? Do you think they know??

I got a picture of the eye too. :rotfl2: I tell you the hippo getting out was a sight. That was no easy task.

I have never walked the animal trails at AK. We are always too busy trying to get to all the shows and rides. Maybe we can take time to see the animals next time.

:scared1: Oh you must go explore the trails. It is best if it is bit cool out but there are amazing creatures on those trails.

Living in NYC, I think we could use some "Doom". ;)

Some of the NY critters are immune to DOOM. :rotfl2:

Your first Mickey Bar! :woohoo: They are tasty, aren't they? Anything Mickey shaped usually tastes pretty good....and no calories! :laughing:

zero calories. ::yes::

I hope you are able to get it! Even if you come solo, plenty of DISers to hang with from time-to-time too!

I cannot even fathom skipping DISNEY WORLD for a party! :eek: :laughing:

I will get there, it is just breaking it to the family if no one wants to come along. :rotfl2: I can entertain myself quite well there and like you said, there will be other Disers.

Teenagers, :sad2:

With our Mickey bars eaten and the Pangani trail walked it is time to head to the safari.
While in line there was a couple who obviously just got married.
They were sporting these.

I thought she looked better this way

We were getting tired and wanted to head back to get some rest. Sadly we did not see the Jingle Jungle parade. Next time.

On the way out we pass by the ToL trails and see the kangaroo.

We walk out tired, but not as tired as this guy.

Once out front we opt for more Photopass photos.

We wait for a bus. And wait. We are getting hungry again and want a meal again. After waiting about 15 minutes I think I decide where we can catch a nice meal and some atmosphere.
Where do we head?

I am always so dissappointed when those two weeks on safari go by so quickly, it always only feels like 20 minute or so, I really never have time to notice that I forgot to pack my tooth brush!

Lovely picture of the lioness. I love it that every Safari is different and even when one is not so picturesque, there is hope that the next one will be better. :goodvibes

I am sure Liesa forgets her toothbrush everytime. :rotfl2::rotfl2:
YOu would think Disney would have more security to deal withthose poachers.;)

That was probably the most out in the open I have seen her, even if she was sleeping as usual.

I don't think I've ever seen the kangaroos! I have however seen at least some version of the "sleeping guy" :laughing:

Love the AK Christmas tree :love:

The roos are by ToL. I seem to remember they were not out the last time.

I usually catch the sleeping guy exhibit on a bench not a rock. :rotfl:

:love: the AK tree.

Nothing that a finger and some baking soda can't take care of. Pass another cookie please. You'll find them right next to the $50 toothbrushes at POP. :rolleyes1

I never knew there were kangaroos at AK! :eek:

Gorgeous pictures of the sleeping lioness! Our Nala sleeps like that from time to time! :lovestruc

I think your next Dismeet will bring you a truckful of toothbrushes. :rotfl2::rotfl2: Just so you never have to forget one. Put 10 in your bag and just leave them as you travel. :rotfl2:
