The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

Blizzard Beach looks like lots of fun! If we ever go back during the summer we'll definitely have to get in a water park.

There's no way you stayed in for the night!:laughing::laughing:

The water parks are fun. The lazy river to get around is soooo much better than walking on hot pavement. :thumbsup2

You know me too well. :lmao:

Part #7

Of course NOT! It was only 3pm. My last day. The last chance. Play now, rest later. But I vowed not to rush. Plenty of time.
With my new no rush attitude, I left the room and went up to El Centro to click shop. My eye spied these in the Coronado gift shop.
PA243501.jpg

PA243502.jpg

PA243503.jpg

PA243504.jpg

I guess I had bags on the mind.
The only other picture I took in the store.
PA243505.jpg

The entrance but going out.
PA243506.jpg

So much for my slow relaxed ways. I spent more time waiting for a bus than I did shopping.
I was waiting to go here. Check out the "retro" sign on the bus.
PA243508.jpg

In 10 short minutes I was here. I waited for that bus for 15 minutes. Now that doesn’t seem fair does it.
I see some themed Coke machines
PA243510.jpg

Before I found Bo.
PA243511.jpg

PA243512.jpg

Of course
PA243513.jpg

I guess I was not in the mood for the thrill rides or the lines were long. I stopped in here. Maybe I was hungry.
PA243514.jpg

PA243515.jpg

PA243516.jpg

I guess I had a goal. I head here,
PA243517.jpg

I sneak in through the gift shop and sneak this picture of Mrs. Incredible.
PA243518.jpg

I sit in the waiting area and spend some time guessing these.
PA243520.jpg

PA243521.jpg

It is time to go in.
PA243522.jpg

Now of course I am enjoying my adult time alone. As we filed in for this class I end up near a mother and her young son. Now I know the child is too young and will not be able to draw but it will be Okay right? NOT This child was into everything but drawing and making noise. It was hard to hear the instructor.
A picture of my Mickey
PA243523.jpg

A blurry picture of the offender.
PA243524.jpg

I had to laugh that yes, I get stuck next to the noisy complaining boy while trying to be the relaxing adult.

Part #8
Hidden Mickey’s in the carpet.
PA243526.jpg

PA243527.jpg

PA243529.jpg

I meander down Sunset Blvd. Hmmm This looks familiar.
PA243530.jpg

I love the irony
PA243531.jpg

I must be in a shopping mood.
PA243532.jpg

PA243533.jpg

PA243537.jpg

PA243538.jpg

PA243542.jpg

I cannot ignore the need for thrills.
The time is now
PA243543.jpg

PA243544.jpg

I do not forget the photo. However I stink at taking this picture. I am in the second row on the right.
PA243546.jpg

In the dump shop.
PA243547.jpg

Heading here
PA243548.jpg

To get in this line.
PA243550.jpg

PA243552.jpg

PA243553.jpg

A hidden Mickey. So hidden, that I actually deleted this picture because I couldn’t find it. I found it so I put it back in.

Can you find it???
PA243554.jpg

I get my ride on
PA243557.jpg

But I apparently have not perfected the ride photo picture taking. I do not have one.
The time is now
PA243558.jpg

As my last dinner in the world, I opt to go back to EPCOT and get one last go at the Food and Wine festival.
I head out to catch this
PA243560.jpg

And I see this. I am thankful that this is blurry. To protect the guilty.
PA243559.jpg

I guess she was unaware that there is indoor plumbing by the entrance. I can only guess he couldn’t make it.

I make it to the friendship boats without further incident.

I leave you here for a bit. Need to go into work.

I've never had any interest in staying at Coronado - but the more I see pictures of it (yours, Glenn's, Kat's.....) the more I'm liking it. We are DVC and always stay there, but every now and then we will add a night on to the begining or end of a trip....looks like Coronado would be a nice option.

You take pictures of the wierdest things. :sad2:

The colorful pottery things, wide-mouthed frogs, pigs, etc., are cute in the stores, and I have often thought of getting one, but I just don't really have a place they'd fit in here at my house. I have the Wlderness Lodge-ish kitchen, the Polynesian-ish bedroom, and the Old Key West-ish den, but I got nuttin' for Coronado-ish stuff. Maybe when Drew moves out? I'll have to think about what resort theme (-ish ) I might like to have when I get rid of him. ;)

The Coronado really grew on me this trip. The refurb with Queen beds made it more family friendly for me. I have a king ( sized bed) at home and to go to a Double/Full is not good. We realized this after a couple of trip and we were cranky all the time. I think we were waking each other up and not realizing it. A queen lets us sleep better and then we are not so cranky. :)

I think I was thinking that since these were in brighter light I would stand a better chance of getting a decent shot of these more thatn the hand carved animals in Mexico. I believe these are unique to this resort because of the theme.
I don't have a place to put any of these either. My pictures take up less space. ;)
Hopefully you have a little time to think of what theme you will turn Drew's room into. If you ever need to give him a push though, you can start redecorating while he is still there.

wow great pics at BB, did you have a water camera, or how did you go on all those rides with your camera?

and the line for RNRC didnt look long at all, they looked like walk on.

and i could not find a hidden mickey in there for nothin.

I was waiting for someone to ask about the camera. Yes, I have a waterproof camera. It is an Olympus Stylus 1030. The only thng I don't like about it is the zoom capability.

As for the hidden Mickey. It was a hard one to spot.
Does this help?

Part #9
I need to wait on a friendship boat from DHS to EPCOT.
Our fine feathered friends.
PA243563.jpg

Do you think this guy escaped from the safari in AK.
PA243566.jpg

Waiting in line was this girl. I liked the Minnie dress but I was drawn to the Domo wristlet.
PA243564.jpg

My DD had a thing for Domo.
A closer look
PA243565.jpg

The boat comes and I sit down. Along comes another young boy who appears to be overtired. I think Oh no not a noisy ride. He settled right down and we had a good little talk while we rode.
PA243567.jpg

We make it to the Swolphin as Brookelizabeth likes to call it. I see Minnie is getting off and I really want a better picture of the Domo wristlet. I basically stalk her as she walks. I manage to get thisone.
PA243569.jpg

I walk over to EPCOT from here.
PA243570.jpg

PA243611.jpg

PA243613.jpg

My walk took the same time as the boat.
I make it in
PA243617.jpg

And see this
PA243618.jpg

Holy cow! This is where everyone is!

Part #11
A huge crowd in EPCOT on a Saturday night. Am I surprised? NO . But it was such a difference from Wednesday night. I wanted to try the Fisherman’s pie so I head to find the booth.
PA243620.jpg

This is the end of the line. I guess I will not be having this tonight.
I walk as far as Canada and realize getting a meal may be harder than I thought. I snap this in Canada.
PA243623.jpg

I walk back. 20 minutes later I see this.
PA243626.jpg

PA243628.jpg

I finally get something to eat. I think this is the Bread Pudding and I paired it with the Sassarazz. :rotfl2: I say this because they were both at the same both and with the crowds, I wouldn’t stand in line twice.
The bread pudding was great to die for and I have the recipe and made it at home. YUM The SassaRazz, not so much. I believe charlestonprincess said “ The most vile thing I have ever tasted” I agree. But for as much as it was I could not bring myself to throw it out. So I drank it  . All as quick as I could.
I wanted to shop over in Japan so I had to get it down quick.
I look at the Domo stuff. Please excuse any blurry pictures as a results of the SassaRazz. Now I know it may seem like I am always drinking SassaRazz :rotfl2: but at least with these I can blame the drink.
PA243633.jpg

PA243639.jpg

PA243646.jpg

PA243648.jpg

PA243649.jpg

PA243652.jpg

Domo overload. Apparently is or was very big in Japan.
PA243661.jpg

PA243665.jpg

For my DS the dragon lover
PA243667.jpg

Outside again and I meet up with the Drummers.
PA243668.jpg

I duck into the American Adventure
PA243670.jpg

PA243671.jpg

PA243673.jpg

PA243677.jpg

PA243695.jpg

PA243700.jpg

After the show I stop here. Remember this for future reference.
PA243702.jpg

Part #12
I continue walking around World Showcase.
I think the SassaRazz has worn off but this pole is not straight.
PA243703.jpg

PA243705.jpg

I see these. I did not get them at that moment. But I thought my kids would like them.
PA243709.jpg

Would I miss my chance ?
I know exactly where this is. In fact I keep “ finding “ it every time I pass by.
PA243714.jpg

It is near here where it intersects with the path around World Showcase.
PA243715.jpg

I head out. But I take this.
PA243716.jpg

Guess what I am still not going back to CSR. It is 8:30pm. Can I make Wishes at 9?
I make it to the TTC. I stop to monorail watch. I guess I was not thinking about wishes too much.
PA243730.jpg

PA243734.jpg

They all have this stripe inside. I thought it was strange since it was pink.
PA243718.jpg

Of course.
PA243731.jpg

I get to see wishes from the TTC instead. No crowds.
PA243744.jpg

PA243760.jpg

I finally make it to MK.
PA243773.jpg

Do I go in? Of course I do.
PA243775.jpg

What can go on?
PA243777.jpg

PA243778.jpg

Next I Cross over to Tomorrowland.
PA243782.jpg

PA243783.jpg

The time is now
PA243784.jpg

And well I am Okay with walking out. A couple of rides and I am Okay.
Apparently the SassaRazz has not completely worn off because the pictures of the castle I got were this.
PA243776.jpg

PA243786.jpg

I walk out and the Electric Water Parade is coming by MK. I stop to watch.
PA243787.jpg

Blame the SassaRazz.
I find a little friend who enjoys the atmosphere too.
PA243789.jpg

PA243791.jpg

A frog.
A last trash can.
PA243792.jpg

My trip is all but done. I have to finish packing. My flight is pretty early on Sunday. Not early in the day but I will not have time to hit a park. This was my last hurrah.
I already know I will have another trip. I have an annual pass. We were thinking March of 2010.
Next up: the trip home and the next trip.

was that an official mickey in the hidden mickey book, or one that you found and declared it a hidden mickey.
 i see what you circled, but still not sure.

wow what a dead theater in amerian adventure, i cant believe that, even with all those people in epcot, i guess they were all drinking and eating.

I am totally out of the loop on Domo anything, but I zoned in on that bread pudding. Did you make the official Disney recipe of it, and if so, did you get it on allears or from a Disney cookbook? I might make it during my two week break - either with our Christmas stuff or for New Year's, since I'm probably the only one in the bunch that will eat it anyway.

I need to find my hidden Mickey book to be sure it is official. It is not the standard shape but I called it a hidden Mickey since the tile was a different color than the surrounding tiles.

It was pretty empty in there. Food and Wine was in full swing!!!

I had no idea Domo was so big until I walked into Japan. My DD tends to zone in on the obscure or at least I think so.
I think the pictures i posted were half, if not less than the items there.

The wonderful Bread pudding is still on allears. It does not specifiy what kind of bread to use so i have used a grocery store unsliced loaf and sliced it thick myself.
The 2-3 Tablespoons of Bourbon is a bit much. I think I only used a little less that and let it simmer a bit more to burn off the alcohol. It was so good but I do not even want to think of how many calories each serving has. My kids both ate it I think but without the sauce. I still think I ate most of it. :upsidedow

Yes, I was the one that called that sazerac cocktail the most vile thing I have ever tasted. ::yes:: I can't believe you actually drank all of it! It was like a great big cup of icky cough syrup!

Looked like you had a nice afternoon and evening at the World. Except for the Epcot crowds maybe. Too bad you couldn't hit more food stands.

Redneck ride pictures are not easy! I usually have to take a couple of them before I figure out/remember what camera settings I use for them. I think I set it to Shutter-priority and have it keep the shutter open for 1/60 of a second.

I may have to check out that receipe! I had the bread pudding at Ohana and O.M.G.!!!!!!! That was some wickedly good stuff!
