The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

Hey Pat! Just talked to Camille- wonderful that you ladies got to get together and have a nice time! Wish I could have been there!

Another LIVE update

Well I am at the Orlando airport waiting to go home. I am actually a little anxious to get home so I can rest. :rotfl2:

I am also a little nervous boarding. You see, at the convention/trade show I got some goodies for my staff. Feed them and clothe them and they stick around right? I got lots of shirts for them. I hope they like them, hey they are free what is not to like but but sometimes my staff can be a bit picky. they are not what you would call casual wear. They were getting rid of a lot of polos from past years conventions.

In any event, my luggage is a bit packed you see. I hit the limit of 50 lbs with the checked luggage and the rest is in my carry on and "personal item". I want no grief from USAir. I may have to go in the bathroom and layer up with some clothing if that is the case. :rotfl2:

Hopefully this insanity will slow down and my life can get back to uneventful.

I know I am at the right gate, but it seems no one around speaks English. :confused3

Cross your fingers for me that I board with no issues and make home and not France. :rotfl2:

Hope you a uneventful trip home. Again it was nice to meet you.

Hey Pat! Just got home Saturday the 9th and today was really my first chance to get on the computer. I just wanted to say it was great meeting you. Ty was being Ty of course, but I am happy to say that was just about the worst time I had with him. I found as long as he was in a stroller or in line for a ride(he figured out real quick standing in line meant he got to ride) he was awesome. He started just going to sleep in his stroller whenever he was tired. At home the littlest noise wakes him up. He also went to sleep at the airport and slept through the entire flight only waking up 10 minutes before we touched down. My knee and leg was bad that day too, but about the 4th day I found if I put an Ace bandage around my leg it helped wonderfully. Again it was great meeting you. I told MeMom my next trip will be solo(sorta) I will most likely try to overlap some of my cousins during their trips. By the way my daughter didn't do so good taking our picture she didn't use the flash and it is to dark.

It was great meeting you. If that was the worst Ty was then you were lucky. It seems like he just like to be moving, that's all. I certainly had moments were I felt the the parks were empty but also encountered crowds in unusual places.

LOL!! It very well could be!! :lmao:
I figure I have some time to catch back up now. :rotfl2:

Hey there Pat! I'm so bad about getting to everyone's reports, there's just never enough time! :sad2:

Looks like you've been a busy little beaver!! Look at all the people you've met! :woohoo:
And great pics over the wall this time! :rotfl: The clouds were pretty, but this was more informative. :rotfl2:
I haven't loaded my pictures from our meet as of yet, but will get there eventually. Unlike you, I'm not very tech savvy, eh! What do you do, right?
If your me, you wait until the DH or the DS comes home and ask them to do it for you! :rotfl: I'll be sure to ask if the pics are okay by you before posting them, promise.

I'm so glad we had a chance to meet this weekend! Your a lot of fun!
It was a pleasure to talk all things DIS Sat. evening, drink a margarita, :faint: (those bad boys were strong) and eat great Tex-Mex (hope you liked it)! Thank you so much for the great dinner, and great conversation, not to mention my gift. Haven't tried it yet, but will let you know when I do. :)
You'll have to let me know when your in my neck of the woods again so I can treat you! You rascal!
Hope your having a great time and aren't getting too home sick. What am I saying, your in Disney World! There's no getting homesick in Disney World!

I am so glad you "kidnapped" me. I had a blast as Chuy's and had a great time. It felt like we were old friends catching up and not strangers meeting for the first time.:rotfl2: Let me know if the Hyatt has good taste in giving wine away. I am anxious to know.;)

OOOOhhhhh I wish you could have been there too. We could have gotten in some troooouuuble girl. :rotfl2: I kept wondering how come more people don't fall in the river on the Riverwalk.

Hope you a uneventful trip home. Again it was nice to meet you.

Relatively uneventful, thankfully. Had to gate check the carry on so in the end no storage problems in the overhead compartment but I weighed it when I got home and it was 35 lbs. :scared1: Add that to the 50lbs I checked and the approximate 20-25 lbs in my backpack. I payed a visit to the chiropractor today and he "straightened me out".

Trouble? Me get in trouble??:rolleyes1

I have to say if all my meets go this great I'm in for a real treat!! Your right, it truly felt like meeting an old friend and catching up.
I haven't tried the wine yet and when I do you'll be the first to know how it goes.
I might have to save it to share during another meet.
Maybe I'll start a DISer tradition of bringing a bottle of wine from a previous meet to share and then bring a new one so the next DISer can take it and share with their next meet.
If it's someone who can't drink I'll bring sparkling cider so as not to offend. :goodvibes
Hope work things worked themselves out and I'm so glad you made it home safe and sound, it sounds like it's was hairy there for a minute concerning the weight limit. :scared:
And your right, if Liesa had been there with us we'd have found all kinds of trouble to have gotten into!! Fun trouble, but trouble never the less.
Wish I hand't had the coffee flavored cake for dessert, I sure would like to sleep.
Night!

Trouble? Me get in trouble??:rolleyes1
I don't know it is so much you getting in trouble as it is trouble finding you. :rotfl2:

It all worked out on getting on the plane. Having my bag gate checked was probably a blessing in disguise. I got home and it weighed 35lbs so I was at least under the 40 lbs they kept announcing over and over again. I figured out that apparently people were going connecting to Rio through Charlotte, hence the large amount of non-English speaking people. Gate checking their bags was an ordeal. When the gate attendant found out they were going to Rio she was shocked because the bags would be checked through to Rio. :scared1:

Dinner with you was definitely a highlight during my trip. It was a great moment to kind of get really away from everything and just talk and eat with a friend. :)

Since this is time sensitive and I may not get to these until it is time for next years Food and Wine, I thought now is a good time.
There was so much good food and I made it a point to do as many meals there as I could. I did not eat this all in one day mind you.

Working our way Clockwise starting with Chile

Anyone remember last years Sassarazz? Well they disguised it this year as the Singapore sling. :sad2:
IMG_1708.jpg

I needed to get 2 cups of ice to dilute the sucker. I think it took me over an hour to drink.

I think I had at least 2 of these this year and more last year. Yum Yum.
This picture is a very small piece and hardly any potaoes but even though I did not care for the potatoes this year, every other serving was more than worth the money.
The Lamb chop

IMG_9673.jpg

I had that Mimosa too. That was good but i need to find my picture. It may have been too dark.

IMG_0351.jpg

Funny story. I think I already had some drink or drinks when I approached Belgium. The line was short so I hopped in line. I order and the guy .... this guy
IMG_0352.jpg

takes my order and then asks for ID. I look around and ask if he is serious. He replies straight faced that yes, I need to see some ID. We always ask for ID if the person looks 30 or under. :scared1::scared1::scared1:
I start laughing but obey. I get out my ID. Once I start laughing and then thanking him and telling him he has just made my day, he replies he needs to do that more often.
The waffles and the Iced coffee

Good also but I was not thinking and there were carrots in there. Of course.
Allergic to them, I should have been more careful but a runny nose was as bad as it got. Maybe a headache later on.

The only one I did not get was the 15 beers for 15 years. Too many people in front of that one. I did remember they had 3 sizes. :lmao:

Hope you enjoyed the tour! Afternoons and during the week was much better than during the weekend.

Oh my gosh! You're killing me with these food porn pics. I must go during Food and Wine sometime. Thanks for posting!

Oh, and congrats on getting carded. :rotfl2:

Was it on Dan's report that we were discussing getting carded? Well I think I was actually 30 when that happened. :rotfl2: I was seriously floored and thought he was kidding.:rotfl2::rotfl2: When I realized he wasn't I just started laughing. I know I had at least one drink before I hit that stand, so I thought he was kind of checking to be sure I was not being overserved. The way I fumbled getting my ID out I thought I was going to be denied. :rotfl2:

OMG I need to go back. What a great tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you so much for that.

Now I'm depressed about what I have in the house to cook tonight!

I crack up when I get carded. I mean seriously people.

I forgot my favorite sight.
There was a guy in a scooter. I saw a girl point and laugh before I noticed but I had to take a picture of this.

IMG_0367.jpg

There is some serious droolage happening here right now.

Actually, last year's drink was a Dragonberry Colada, but I wouldn't say no to a Cherry one (or three or four ).

Okay, I really want one of those Belgian waffles. Yum!

I really tried to eat as much as possible. :rotfl2::rotfl2: It sure felt like I ate more. Watch for some of the recipies on allears. I made the bourbon bread pudding last year and it was fabulous. If I can find the lamb recipe I will attempt to make it.

Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my mouth.

Let this guy do it.

Yes, last year was the Dragonberry Colada. It was replaced with the Torched Cherry one and it was yummy. But if you are one of those people who do not like the taste of Cherry .... those who think it reminds them of cough syrup etc, then don't get it. I like cherry but flavor reminded me of Robitussin a little bit. I actually liked the Robitussin.
The Belgian waffles were good but since they do make then fresh, the line can get quite long. I tried several times before finding a time where the wait was manageable.

I snapped some pictures of my surroundings.

I have GOT to get this picture next trip, from a slightly lower angle so the crown is exactly on her head!
I was zooming until the computer crashed.:sad1: Now that I am on the road I am grabbing free internet when I can. I do appreciate all the attention. I understand about life and I will be back here full time hopefully the middle or end of next week myself. As for the harrassment ..... I can put up with that too. Remember I will fire back or use my whip smilie on you. :lmao:
I hate that smilie disappeared before I could comment!

I've heard some pick-up lines in my day, but that guy is smoooottthhhhh!
