Did anyone see the short before the movie? Was this Disney's answer to losing Pixar, thinking they could do it on their own? I was severely disappointed. Anyone else?

I thought it was very strange, and didn't like it at all. I wasn't even aware that it was Disney.

However, I really liked Raising Helen. :)

Yes, I did REALLY like Raising Helen. It's Touchstone, which is Disney. So I would think the short was Disney.

Very strange though.

Was it a true short or was it a preview?

Currently Walt Disney Feature Animation is working on their first CGI film. It's called Chicken Little and, at least the animation (if you can ever call CGI true animation), matches Pixar.

It was a cat thing with a beginning and an end and I believe it had a short list of credits. Very much like Pixar does before their movies. Just that this one was not cute, it was scary (not intentionally scary. I think someone thought it was funny, but they were wrong).

When we went to see Raising Helen, the theatre seemed a little confused as to what the heck was going on. The short was too long and very stupid IMO.

I didn't see the short, but I like it when they put these before the movies. Before Garfield they had an Ice Age short.

Good sales tactic, I want to see Ice Age 2 now! :D
