*My Pre-Trip Report was closed and I'm leaving Friday morning, so I figured now was as good a time as any to start my report*
To many Walt Disney World is an escape from the stresses of daily life. It is where you can come face to face with the great Yeti of Mount Everest, if only for a few moments. It is where you will hear a monologue on the great movie ride my dad and I have heard so many times we can recite it on command including various gestures and expressions. It is where you can consistently mess up your hair on Test Track no matter how tight your pony tail is that day. It is where you can ride Splash Mountain as early as you want in the day, dry off, and still be a little damp at the end of the day. This is Walt Disney World to me. While it may not sound pleasant to you, it is the familiarity of it all and the magic that it gives to me that makes it great. To get there you must simply go to the second star to the right and straight on till morning. You are disappearing from miserable, hard times and drifting into a new world of excitement and joy. All children, except one, grow up. But, that doesnt mean you cant relive your childhood in small spurts, if only for a few days.

All children, except one, grow up. My dad was definitely the exception to that statement. He may be 40 years old, but he's still like a little kid. While he is mature and has a job, he still has that childhood play factor to him. He owns every single Disney movie and loves to watch them all the time.

My new step mom, Christine, has been to Disney once when she was in middle school. She's 40 now, so that does not do her much good. However, she married a Disney freak and got a Disney-smart step daughter so she's in good hands. There are nice people, but she is seriously THE nicest person I have ever met.

Becca has been my best friend since I was born, mostly because our dads have been best friends since they were 12. We get along, though we did have our violent years of hatred, and are best friends. Her birthday is February 24 and we're both starting high school this fall. She does soccer and is amazing (I can vouch for that since she soccer kicked me at 2:00 AM last time we went to Disney, but that's another story for another day...)

From 28 August 2009 until 6 September 2009 we will be staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort. We will, unfortunately, be sharing a room between the four of us. But, I'm sure we will survive and this will be a pleasant trip. But, when Becca and I share a bed, I will be sure to find a way to avoid getting kicked at 2:00 AM. Again.
