Hello friends!!


I am here trying to think of things that I can plan towards the trip. I have the car planned, the hotel planned, I need to work on meal plans. It is so hard to plan meals around picky eaters. Our family is split on strange lines. I went grocery shopping today and bought steak but tomorrow night when I grill it I will be buying my girls food at Panda Express. They don't like steak. This makes meal planning a mess for the trip. I have tried looking at menus with the girls and what one likes the other doesn't. It drives me nuts. Simba is not really picky and will eat almost anywhere. Oh the pleasures of a big family.


Needs Another Name Grumpy has expressed a desire to eat at Rancho del Zocalo. Unfortunately she is the only one. So, I am at loggers head trying to figure out what we will do. Granted we will be separating and going our own ways during the day I have told my kids we will be eating breakfast and dinner together. We better come up with a solution because I am not willing to bend on this. If this is to be an extended family trip we will act like a family.

Ah the joys of picky eaters,. I am very familiar with that

We always have to find a place that has either chicken nuggets or chicken tenders. Sometimes we find places that will specially make him something like grilled.

If worst comes to worst, make them eat counter service meal or snack before they meet you for dinner. Then they can just have a drink and sit with you all while you eat

Maybe the buffet style would be best? That way there is lots of selection and hopefully there would be something for everyone. Is Goofy's kitchen buffet for dinner too? I can't remember.

When Kody was little all she would eat was chicken nuggets at Disneyland. Thankfully she is better now, not much though.

We are going to Goofy's for one meal but those buffets tend to be much more expensive than the counter service. Cost is definitively a part of planning the meals.

That is on my leg. I love his work, his shading is always perfect. He spent about 3 and a half hours doing it last night. It wasn't so bad, of course I say this now. I am a great lover of the fantasy genre in books. I love knights and my favorite author has female knights and this reminded me of it.

Here it is, nearly the middle of the night and I am wide awake. I hate days like this. I am totally exhausted but I am too hot to sleep. Argh. So here I sit at the laptop wanting to spend money and using all of my self control to not do it. I would get off of the computer and read but I am charging my Nook on the computer. Its a vicious cycle.

I am not too sure if you may an iphone/iPad etc ( or maybe someone in your whacky family bunch ), but I wanted to let you know of the most wonderful ap I have stumbled across in regards to the food choices at Disneyland.

It is called DL dining and from memory it only cost 99 cents to download. This little gem includes EVERY single item of food that is available at DL, DCA and Downtown Disney. It includes all the prices, of every menu item and you can see wha is available for breakfats, lunch and dinner. it includes all the carts too and even has a foodfinder where you can type in what you feel like and ot will tell you every place that particular item is available!!!

The only thing missing is the brand new stuff in DCA , but they are pretty good with keeping it up to date so am expecting to see the new eateries in DCA soon!

Thought it may come in handy if you are trying to please everyone ( and we all know how hard that can be sometimes ) and you can have it right there with you in your pocket!

Sorry to hear you are too hot to sleep. I wish we could swap.........I will send some of our freeeeeeezing cold weather we are having here at the moment to cool you off a bit and you could return the favour by sending me some warmth

I have an android and there is an app I have that has the menus from allears.net. I highly recommend their website. They have all of the menus. You can get the mousewait app and it has all of the allears.net menus available. Thank you for the recommendation, I am going to see if it is available for the android. I love all of the Disney apps and I tend to buy them. I can hardly wait for the new menus from DCA to be available. They do have the Ghiradelli Soda Fountain up on allears.net. It looks so good!!


I will gladly send you some of our heat but I will keep our fire danger. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
