The S word!

Yup.. And I'm stranded here at the lake.. Can't move back to DD's until this weekend - at the earliest.. Right now they're talking a rain/snow mix tomorrow night and during the day on Wednesday - with a daytime "high" of 43 degrees..

I can't believe the weather is chasing me out of here before Halloween!! It's just not right !!!!!!!

If you care too....I can PM ya some choice words to yell back at the TV!:headache:

Yep -- Supposed to snow at my house tonight. I saw some flakes last weekend while elk hunting. I love that feel of winter just as the snow starts to fall...

We're so excited. I just heard that it may snow here on Thursday. We just moved here from Southern California, where it never snows!

I'm sure the novelty of the snow will wear off soon enough though.

Enjoy your "S". Better you than me. My DD is at school in Syracuse, she said that the "S" word is being said there too.

:scared1:

yep, I heard it on the news too.....not quite ready for it.

I hate just thinking about it.

How've you been? Someday we really need to meet up! I wonder how many times we have passed each other in a store or something.

Montana had 21" last week and it is gone already. There is someone here from Montana and she posted about that a couple days ago. So far none of that "S" stuff predicted here.

Someone must have mentioned the "s" word to this guy and he got carried away. :lmao:
Edwardsburg man in serious condition after snowmobile wreck
By Beth Boehne

ADAMSVILLE — An Edwardsburg man is listed in serious condition at Memorial Hospital in South Bend after suffering injuries when the snowmobile he was driving in a plowed farm field hit a utility pole.

Cass County sheriff’s deputies said Donald Hawkins, 53, was riding in a field near U.S. 12 between Starbrick and Cassopolis streets about 7 p.m. Sunday when he hit the pole.

Police said the accident threw Hawkins several feet from the sled. It is not known why he was riding a snowmobile in a plowed field.
The accident was in Mason Township east of Adamsville.

Being new to this snow thing, what do we have to do to prepare? I see a lot of bags of salt in the store. Do I throw that on the ground? I guess I need to buy one of those scraping things for the car windows too, right?

Move south. :rotfl2:

Sorry yeah you'll need salt for your walks and driveway. Good to keep a bag of either salt or sand in the trunk in case you get stuck. (Throw some under the offending tire to help it get some traction) A snow brush/scraper for the car. A snow shovel so that you can first shovel the walk and driveway before you put down the aforementioned salt.
