The Scrapbooking Vacation Rules Trip

The Team
Tony :driver and holder of all travellers’ cheques
Theresa :navigator and chief scrapbook shopper
Maddison :2nd in command of scrap book shopping
Callum :owner of the RED hair

Monday 24th July

SHOPPING day today ( just for a change) :rotfl:

Drove up to Waterford Lakes which is on the North Alafaya Trail, there is a scrap book shop here that Theresa had found on the internet and she said that they were part of a chain so hopefully they would not have gone like the other one we looked for in St Cloud. Luckily (or unluckily if you happen to be our bank balance) this one was still trading.

Theresa and Maddie spent ages in here as you can see from the length of Maddies’ till receipt.

Some sort of paper called Bazzill was only 33 cents a sheet compared to 60 pence at home so they bought half a tree between them. Callum and I went and had a look around TJ Maxx which I’m sure you can work out as being the US equivalent of our T K Maxx. We spent about $40 on a couple of Nike T shirts which to be fair was about half of what the girls spent in Crafts and Stuff. There was another Jo-Anns, which had a sale on, so MORE scrap book shopping. It was lucky that there were plenty of other shops to keep Callum and me amused. We spent a lot of time looking around a large book store called Barnes and Noble, I was going to buy a digital camera magazine but they were printed in England and cost twice as much as buying them here so I didn’t bother.

OK, OK

I admit………………………………we did then go and eat……………………….well you can’t just drive past a Longhorn and I didn’t know there was going to be one at Waterford Lakes………………………………………honest. :rolleyes1

In the evening we went to Downtown Disney. Theresa and Maddie looked around the shops and Callum and I got the cameras out again.

We also selected the Christmas decoration for this trip. Just another family tradition.

We got back to the resort quite late and ordered a Pizza before jumping into bed.

Great scrapbooking stash, but how the heck do you get it all home?!?

Double baggage allowance and 7 cases :thumbsup2

Really enjoyed your report, Tony, thanks for sharing. That dessert looks delicious, and I loved the sunset picture. :thumbsup2 I'm glad Jodie asked about how you got the stuff home because I was wondering that myself! Sounds like the girls got some real bargains.

We always buy a Christmas ornament too. Sounds like your wife and daughter are well stocked up on scrapbooking stuff. This year we all seemed to buy shoes of some description. It looked like they were breeding on the floor as more and more started to arrive. We had to buy a sports holdall to accommodate the extra.

This shopping lark is hungry work Tony :rotfl: I love the Christmas shop in DTD, and I always buy a Christmas decoration, I think I've your decoration - is it Chip & Dale ?? :)

Another great days shopping, that is some stuff to take home Tony :thumbsup2

MM yes it's chip and dale, you mean we have the same bizzarre taste in xmas decs.

OMG that cookie dough cheescake looks wonderful :)
