I received the rule book, otherwise known as the DISNEY VACATION CLUB AT WALT DISNEY WORLD RESORT COMPONENT SITE PUBLIC OFFERING STATEMENT.
The version I have has a 3/97 on it.
Is there a newer copy that I should be asking for?
As I read the rules, my mind keeps spacing, and discovering that it has been thinking about something else while reading.
But I did find some of the rules interesting enough to keep my attention.
For instance,
Did people know that it was against the rules to have movable objects on the balcony or balcony railing.
I like the patio furniture, I hope they don't remove it and replace it with "fixed to the surface" type furniture.
I liked the plastic patio furniture.
I had no idea I wasn't supposed to hang any clothing out on the balcony. I am certain that we hung our swim suits out there on our visit to OKW. I see how too much of this can take away from the nice view of the place.
The rules around the potential consequences of checking out late (worded more as not vacating when it is time) were interesting.
I found it interesting that so much was potentially subject to change, and that we really have no vote as owners (unless over 60% of the owners of your building decide to take your vote back).
However, so far my favorite rule is the one called "Nuisances"
and I quote the rule as follows:
"No nuisance shall be allowed upon the Condominium Property or within a Unit or a Vacation Home, nor any use or practice that is the source of annoyance to Owners or which interferes with the peaceful possession and proper use of the property by owners. All parts of the Condominium shall be kept in a clean and sanitary condition, and no rubbish, refuse or garbage shall be allowed to accumulate nor any fire hazard allowed to exist. No Owner shall permit any use of a Unit or a Vacation Home or make any use of the Common Elements that will increase the cost of insurance upon the Condominium Property
