So today on my way to court, here's what I see in front of me

IMG_5306-1-1.jpg

Check out the knee high socks... and to boot, this woman is like in her 50's or 60's for sure! Craaaaaaazy. :sad2:

Wow!! Scaaarrrry! I still wish you were able to get a picture of the woman in the leggings with high heels! :scared1:

Hi Jordan, This is a pic of me and Paul-in case anyone is in Disney between June 6 to June 13 say Hi!:thumbsup2
I just figured out how to post pics and I am excited!

Beautiful picture!

I love Texas in the spring. :cloud9:

Isn't spring lovely?! :goodvibes

I'm curious about the pose commorating Horizons. Does anyone have a pic?
I'm wondering if Wendy ordered a kids meal. I'm assuming an adult meal would have bigger portions.

Here's a pic of the shot we used to do in front of Horizons every year... get it? Horizons? (as in "looking off into the..."). So now we have to do it in front of M:S since that's where it used to be. Maybe now it's a picture of us looking for the old Horizons ride...

IMG_2079.jpg

Each time we'd do it differently... looking in different directions or whatnot. This was the first time Erin was in the pic. I can't find some of the other ones but those may have been pre-digi photos. Will post if I find more...

Re: kids meal... I had to order a kids meal since I was using the kids' table service credits... otherwise they'd be eating (no pun intended) into our TS credits... but basically since Derek and I were eating at GF Cafe (1 TS credit), we could only use 1 TS credit per child back at the ranch... so since room service counts as 2 TS credits, we had to order a single meal and split it between the kids (otherwise they'd be using too many credits)... fortunately since we had food in the room, the room service meal could be supplemented with other sustenance (however unhealthy that might be... :rolleyes1)

Wow!! Scaaarrrry! I still wish you were able to get a picture of the woman in the leggings with high heels! :scared1:

Yeah me too... it was classic. She actually looked pretty good (she was young, maybe in her 20's and had a nice figure) but still, that outfit was just wrong regardless if you could have pulled it off or not.

But that was in the elevator so it would have been much more obvious had I whipped out my camera and started snapping in her face. Hee hee hee. That's when you need an eyeball camera when you can just push the side of your face and "click" - take a picture of whatever your eye sees. Gotta invent that someday...

Carissa, :teacher: it's one of those phones that has a board that looks like a mini key-board instead of just the numbers you have on the phone and end up pressing a million times to get typed out what you want to say. :upsidedow They are called Qwerty boards due to the fact that the top first row of letters spells out Q W E R T Y (to the left side), created by the man who invented the type writer. :teeth:

Ahhhh - thanks for the explanation. :thumbsup2 Well, I have a smart phone and have a regular touch keyboard and I still can't imagine typing out all of that! I hate replying to an email on my phone.

You definitely have to get used to it. I use my BlackBerry to send test text messages / test emails when I'm troubleshooting so after spending five years of typing on these things for 8 hours a day, I've gotten pretty quick at it.

Isn't spring lovely?! :goodvibes

It is.
I took this in my backyard a few weeks ago and I finally got it uploaded into my computer to show you all here. I have six trees with this covered all over them. Usually we get sprummer (yes you read that right) here so fast that we don't get to see these on the trees for very long. This spring was more like a normal spring (for Texas that is) so we got to see these for more than a day, I think we had these for about two weeks before they started sprouting into more leaves. We've finally recovered from a drought so the trees, shrubs and flowers are spectacular this year.

 That's Brilliant!! I'll be the guinea pig for the prototype.

Your most welcome! :thumbsup2 No kidding, right! I don't think I would be able to do the same. I'm reading your PTR on your C25K. :goodvibes I'm so in awe of your progress!!! Keep up the good work! :yay:

Holy Cats.

I get a (no more telecommute) job and....wow.

I expected to be behind but...

Holy cats.

Jordan. I am in awe at your napping abilities. I cannot nap. Anywhere, anyhow. I am so very very jealous. Spontaneous napping on rides. I can only dream. The ONLY time I can nap is...on a bus, if it's raining outside and it gets all steamy inside. Other than that...forget it.

Wendy

:scared1: on the knee socks. I am speechless.

Yes, I'm just glad they're not the leggings from Flashdance...:)

4 nuggets. Even a child can eat 5 or 6....

cookies and other asst junk food. I think there were some apple slices in there somewhere....

Why can I not picture the leggings from Flashdance? Just the sweatshirt. Oh wait...that's because I cut my sweatshirts to look like Jennifer Beals at the time....

Oh wait...that was FAME.

Kevin Bacon.

:lovestruc

:rotfl:

I was baiting you all...;)

I need some positive reinforcement every now and again...

Don't we all!

I have a qwerty keyboard...and I eat too much cheese.

Hmmn. That is a LOT of cheese my friend. I had a qwerty. Even now with the droid...no way I could type that much. Without certain body parts falling asleep.

Isn't this cool?!? I was so surprised to see them get these! I'm kinda hoping he leaves it at home so I can look at it while he's away to school next year. :sad1:

Here's another picture for you to see what some others look like. These are my boy's bestfriends. They've all swam on the summer team together from the time they were in 8th grade, and four years on the high school team together. My boy is in the middle, yes I realize he has goofy hair.
I look at it this way... he's been a outstanding student, held a job since he was 16, get's up at the crack of dawn for swim team, never get's into trouble, never smoked, never done drugs, hasn't drank what I didn't hand him a taste of every once in a blue moon and didn't start dating until 17. If the hair is his only rebellious outlet, then that's pretty darn good in my opinion. Some times you have to pick your battles, this just wasn't a hill I was willing to climb or die on. :)

We are about 7 miles north of the airport. (Just barely in the city.). So we are about 30 min from Sea World. We lived in Leon Valley back in the early 80's. In those days the city was a lot smaller. I can take you anywhere you want to go downtown, and have driven to Sea World dozens of times, but I don't know my way around at all up this way.

:rolleyes1

I kind of know where you are - how did the competition go?

TrayRene, what is this thing you call Spring?

Millie - your son is handsome and you've done a great job with him - what if he wants to express himself with his hair style? My DS and his baseball buddies shaved their heads for luck every Summer. :confused3 Cool Posters!:thumbsup2

I can see it now - neverending discussion of what you can do in the bathroom with your Qwerty...

 Thank you Tammie, I think I've done a pretty good job and then realize there's no way I could have done that great of a job without some serious help from the good Lord above and His crew. I'm of the opinion that each child is born with at least five angels assigned to them, other wise they would end up seriously injury beyond repair and or dead with the stunts they pull on us in the first five years born. :rotfl:

Your right, his hair tain't no big deal compaired to what heart ache he could be throwing my way.

I don't even want to think about what everyone could do in the bathroom with a Qwerty board. Although...I can't say I haven't had my moments in the powder room typing on one. :rolleyes1 I don't poof, never have. :snooty: But I QWERTY!!

I love Texas in the spring. :cloud9:

Nice pic! I love spring too. Second favorite season. I was really excited a couple weeks ago when my baby citrus trees sprouted a bunch of blossoms. And let me tell you, they smell heavenly!!!

Very cool poster from the team! And I rather like his hair!

Like on "The Office" when Pam tells Jim she got advise to take mental pics on their wedding day and Jim takes one where she blinks and says, darn, now that will be in my memories forever!

Thanks! :) That would be exciting! I've thought about planting a citrus tree here, but I'm not sure it would survive. I use to live in Irvine, CA. and there was nothing like the smell of orange blossoms in the spring. <big sigh> :cloud9:

Thank you! I like his hair too, not everyone else appreciates it. It's part of what makes Ty, Ty. :goodvibes

Have you shared that before and I just missed it?!? Jordan went to college there and I grew up there! DH and I rented a condo that backed up to the orange groves over by Irvine Valley College and the air was so sweet you could taste it! (Unlike the typical So Cal air qulaity!) :rotfl:

I agree completely as well. About 4 years ago, my son Alek was expressing himself through hair styles as well; there are two times that really stick out in my memory. One day I came home, he had dyed his hair jet black, and was wearing eye liner, had painted his finger nails black, was all decked out in black and sporting a spiked dog collar around his neck and wrist, to myself I said "OMG", to him and his friends, I just said "hi, what are you guys up to today?" I tried my best to show no reaction, and quickly left the room, the other memorable "hair" was when he came home with his hair dyed fire engine red and braid down the front, I asked him who styled his hair that day and he relied that some girls from work had given him lobster tail ( he works at Red Lobster). This phase lasted less two months. I remember when it ended, he asked me to take him to the hair dresser for a haircut, let me tell you all the available hairstylists jumped to get his name on their ticket, ever since he has been sporting a handsome cut. I as well as you agree, that this was his rebellious phase, it provided me with many private laughs and a huge sigh of relief when it ended, I as well wished that I had a special eye camera, that WendyO had spoke about to capture those special and memorial moments. LOL. A few years ago, the kids step mother had come down for a visit with their father sporting a REALLY BAD haircut and COLOUR job, we all kept a straight face the whole visit , and when they left, we were all ROFL laughing and reminisced about Alek's bad hair days LOL.

Thanks! Be sure and say hi over there sometime. :goodvibes

And you should be very proud of your son. :thumbsup2 Great job Mom! :goodvibes

Hi Tammie - I looked up the weather in Southern Oregon (Ashland?) - and it didn't look too spring like. :sad1: Here in Albany we got a tease of summer weather - low 80s and then it suddenly dipped into the 50s. This week will be 60ish and sunny though! Hope spring makes its way to you soon! :flower3:

Great photo of your son - he's a very handsome young man. My son started growing his hair at the end of 5th grade and kept it long until the beginning of 11th grade, when he finally decided to go back to short hair. He saw a picture of himself with the long hair recently and said "what was I thinking!" I agree with you - you can't sweat the small stuff!

One day I came home, he had dyed his hair jet black, and was wearing eye liner, had painted his finger nails black, was all decked out in black and sporting a spiked dog collar around his neck and wrist, to myself I said "OMG", to him and his friends, I just said "hi, what are you guys up to today?" I tried my best to show no reaction, and quickly left the room

Awesome - so hard not to say anything but makes such an impact!!
