The light is on, so maybe he's typing furiously. In the meantime, I'm watching Rosanne on TVLand, and theyre going to DISNEY WORLD!!! Maybe that will tide us over until the update!:lmao:

Chapter 17. Fish are friends.

okay, so I've been a bit busy with life the last few days. I had mini-drama for the last few days trying to decide whether or not to got to Vegas. Long story short, my parents are going to Vegas for a internment camp reunion next Mon-Wed. They are taking a chartered bus with other folks, but I thought it might be nice to drive them...Well if you know my history with Vegas...it's many fuzzy memories at best. I was all set to book a room with a REALLY, REALLY, REALLY (yes REALLY) good weekday rate and a great friend called and basically slapped me back to reality over the phone. I can't go to Vegas--even if nothing really happened, it would be REALLY, REALLY, REALLY(yes REALLY) tempting to fall back to old ways....so not going!!!

Okay back to fun and fish In my last update, I was deemed the "Fastpass Runner" and procured FPs for Test Track......

Is anyone else mesmerized by the Victoria Secrets "nakeds" commercials? Yeah, didn't think so...anyways......

While I was FP running, the gang was taking pictures in front of Nemo...

I met up with them just as they were getting of the Clammobiles and we took our time looking at all the displays. I LOVE aquariums. I am one of those annoying people who have to look at EVERY exhibit and reading every placard. Isn't it amazing? I hate seafood, but love looking AT soon-to-be seafood.

Erin LOVED all the quizzes and touch screen thingys. We had to tear her away.

On our way out, Erin and Dylan learned a bit about sharks...

From The Seas with Nemo, we were off to the Land. We were all hungry and the Seasons was calling our name! It was nearing the end of peak lunch time, so while it was still busy, we were able to grab tables fairly quickly.
105.jpg

I had my usual Peep Fare....Cashew Chicken with mixed veggies and noodles..mmmm. With the Dining Plan you know you get dessert...I had the Creme Brulee. For counter service, I have to say the Brulee was pretty dang good. I think my eyes were rolling in the back of my head and my toes were curling...;)

I snapped another picture off before we left:

After lunch it was off to Living with the Land which is one of my all-time favorite attractions. Yes, Derek calls it The Ride with Plants. Enjoyable as always. I didn't snap off any pictures as I had already done so with Winkers the day before. Then we said adios to the Land...

As you know, when you travel with a larger group which include kids, whenever you leave an attraction or a meal or the restroom or the room or the bus or the car or the tram or the ferry or the plane, you have to get the stroller situated, the kids situated, the leftovers situated, the purse situated, the diaper bag situated, the shopping bags situated, the extra blankets situated, the sippy cups situated...

Jordan, why are you laughing at me :sad1:? I have to live through your TR to make it the months and months I still have before our trip.

Sorry, I wasn't laughing at YOU. I was laughing at the use of smilies...They always make me smile..:):):)

you know I love you.

Even if you went with Mom and Dad? I'm approaching 40 (!!!) and I still hide the liquor when my parents visit. :lmao:

Hmm, can't say I've noticed one. I'll have to ask DH.

I LOVE aquariums.

Never thought I would until I saw the Aq of the Pacific. Awesome!:thumbsup2

Oh, you're one of THOSE people. :rotfl:

Looks like she's taking after uncle Jordan.

Derek was experimenting with his camera..

Oooo, what kind? I still haven't chosen my DSLR.

For counter service, I have to say the Brulee was pretty dang good. I think my eyes were rolling in the back of my head and my toes were curling...;)

I LOVE Creme Brulee. I've read about so many different ones here. I don't know if we have ADRs at any place that will serve them though. :sad1:

Spoken like a parent! It's always fun to hear my friends who become parents rant about how freaking long it takes to go anywhere with a child. :rolleyes1

It's so funny Melissa. I'm so used to the whole stroller/getting things situated dance. I travel with Wendy and Derek so often, I often am assisted them with one of the kids.

Jordy, I'm so proud of you for deciding not to go to Vegas. It takes a strong person to admit when you might have a weak moment in an environment that doesn't exactly breed good decision making. You did good brother InC. :thumbsup2

Love the Living Seas and Land buildings, my most favorite parts of FW. :goodvibes Good to see the kids enjoying it, Ashlyn seems to fit right in with the clan....so cute! I just want to nibble on those cute chubby cheeks of hers. She seems like a pretty easy going baby, hope it stayed that way the rest of the trip.

I'm about to pass out, gotta go to bed. I'll talk with you more about the DCL, and I wanted to know what you decided about the glasses, it's decision making day! :yay:

It took a virtual slap on the back of my head to realize it probably wasn't the best decision to go to Vegas...

Ask Derek and Wendy if Ashlyn is easy-going...;) She was great the times I was around her however....

you will see...very soon.

Now that you're almost 50, glad to hear you're making some good decisions- I don't know if we ever outgrow the need for others' wise input though. Kudos to your friend for offering wisdom!!! :thumbsup2 I think your parents will be fine on the bus- who knows, they may even have more fun with the others?

Of all the FW Pavs., the Land is my fave. Who wouldn't enjoy seeing the world's largest tomato plant?? I mean it's like Madam Tussauds gone real and not macabre. :upsidedow

Yes. know the stroller drill!! Thank God we're done with THAT!!!

Never really explored The Seas more than seeing the lame clamobile ride and Crush. Need to remedy that. But, I"m like you- a little reluctant to start the exploration process- since I have to read all the stupid placards that will fill valuable brain space with pretty useless info. - what little I have left... And I have to see ALL the exhibits, and take too many pix, that won't turn out... in short spend far too much time in the end.

I LOVE aquariums. I am one of those annoying people who have to look at EVERY exhibit and reading every placard. Isn't it amazing? I hate seafood, but love looking AT soon-to-be seafood.

You should come to Atlanta sometime and go to the Georgia Aquarium -- lots of soon-to-be-seafood and placards to read there! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

I remember those days all too well!!! ::yes::

We never made it over to the Living Seas this trip and now I'm regretting it. We'll have to catch it in August!

That must have been some amazing creme brulee :)

I occasionally miss having a little one but your comment about all their "stuff" made laugh and glad we don't have to lug all the stuff anymore!

Jordan~ you can start, I'm here now! :rotfl2: What the shizzle, how many pages are you up to?!?!?!?!?! I'm going to have to stick to the links my friend and pray that I will one day be as popular as you :worship: How's your kilt cozy? I might need a cardboard Jordan and the cozy on my DCL later this year!
