I like the look of BLT. It isn't really my style but I would stay there once to see how I liked it. My dh loves the way it looks. The kids are getting so big. Also wanted to say welcome to Derek.

Terry's new laptop we bought last week has windows 7 and we LOVE it... Mine has Vista and I am wanting to upgrade to 7...

His keyboard is different from mine, the keys are flat and mine are more surved so it does throw me off from time to time!

Jordy, you know us (or me), being a Starwood Westin regular, BLT was much nicer (even better than our Westin stays) but I agree with Kim that BCV is way more convenient and I missed the direct access to Epcot.

BTW, how'd you get access to our photos? Glad you liked my pics....but Wendy checked in and not me (I was taking the pics).

Welcome Derek! It's so nice to see you here! I was reading ahead a page, and I thought, "Oh, someone met the crew and became a DISer, how nice!" I think you may have known a few of them a little

GB - funny....yeah, I think Wendy gave him access to my MobileMe photo gallery which allows him to download my photos. I'll have to cut him off from access (even though he's family). His hacker name is probably "JediJordy" or "PopCenturyPooper"

I didn't think I would like BLT, but it looks really elegant, and the location is primo! We might need to try it sometime!

I loved Wendy's arrival day pictures. The kids have grown so much, they are adorable!!

As for 2012 we would pick June, because Bill would freeze in February and hopefully they will have Star Tours redone by then. We would not be doing the cruise though.

Can't wait to read more about your trip.

Funny that you leave a plastic cup out for your change. We do too. Makes it easier for vending machines at night when we don't feel like walking to the food court.

That change cup saved me a few times.

Hmmn...maybe my DH will make the jump one of these days, now THAT would be interesting! DISmeets is all it took huh?


9 according to the website. It looks SOOOO spacious! Not loving the TV cabinetry at all but I like the rest of it quite a bit. I would really like to stay there one of these days. It could happen for Peepfest but there are others ahead of it on the list for that particular trip. A little surprised that since it's a monorail hotel people still preferred the direct access to Epcot at BCV. That's interesting.

I have heard that on the access.

There's nothing like walking to Epcot in 5 minutes and just hitting one or two countries, having lunch/snack and heading back to the resort. With smaller kids, it's great to be able to come and go easily.

The BLT rooms looked lovely, I saw the DVC model and it was by far my favourite decor, very stylish

I didn't think I'd like the modern decor, but I did.

The room looks really nice. I was surprised it even had a large laundry room. Odd that they lock the doors to the building entry.

Can't help but think of the sandwich when I hear BLT, though. Mmmmmmm, bacon.

The laundry area IS a room and not just a closet...sooo nice.

Thanks for posting the BLT pictures Jordan (and Wendy and Derek). I wasn't real keen on BLT either until we took the tour last summer, and then I had to summon some self-control to keep from adding-on points there. I think it's nicer in person than in pictures for some reason.

Welcome to the disboards Derek! You're posting like a madman....soon you'll have "veteran" status. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

The views were nice and the balcony was nice.

Great photos Derek/Jordan. Cute as a button kids. Liked the room. Looking forward to the baclony photos and of the pool (if you have any). Hoping to stay there in Novemeber instead of SSR. Not huge fans of the modern/sleek lines but love the location of BLT!

You really can walk to the MK, it's really not that bad.

LOVE the look of BLT! i really want to stay there one day. i can't afford a MK view but that doesn't really bother me....the decor is just so classy. love it!

and wendy, as always, your kids are just adorable!

It reminds me of the Westin resorts that I stay at with Wendy and Derek.

Kitchen was small, but they added room to the laundry area and there's another whole bathroom, bringing the total to 3 full bathrooms...

I cannot believe how big Wendy's kids are getting- they are so cute!


Liking BLT more than I thought. Not sure I would stay there but it does look clean and sleek of which I am neither.

I actually wouldn't mind staying there, but I think IF I were to do a monorail resort, I'd stay at the Poly first.

Thanks for all of the BLT pictures... what a beautiful room! Not my style, as many have said, but I appreciate it... and sure as heck wouldn't mind staying there!!

Glad to hear the kiddos traveled well - that's a long trek from CA! BLT looks VERY nice!

I think the thing about BLT is that it looks like a really nice resort that could be anywhere. AKV is definitely unique and BWV or BCV to a certain extent.

I can't remember if I already commented or not (& I am too tired to go back and figure it out right now). If I did, ignore me. If not, I just wanted to say that BLT look pretty great. They are not totally my style, but I would be so excited if I ever got to stay there.

I can't believe how much they crammed into the kitchen in that little amount of space!! There are a ton of appliances in about 20 feet. It's like Tetris!

I will probably go in February, Vinny's family is now going to take a cruise in 2012 on the DCL so I have to go with them and I do not know what the date swill be. Means I also have to cancel the 2011 one I have booked.

Bummer about cancelling, but if you can make it to one of the 2012 PeepFests, I would be honored. Was bummed you couldn't make this one!

Great update and pics. I love seeing all of the "before" pictures of how everyone got to WDW.

I loved the room at BLT. Everything was very nice! Can't wait to see the pictures of the balcony. I don't think I even looked at it while there.

I really love the style of the CR & BLT room interiors - modern, yet fun. It's nice that they throw in the colorful Disney pop-art. But the lobby of the CR really leaves me cold. A little TOO elegant. I like contemporary design but something about the lobby feels sterile to me. Maybe just in contrast to all the 'Disney' everywhere else on property.

I agree with the thoughts about the CR/BLT. For sure when they updated, I think they tried to balance resorts guests with convention guests since they have a pretty big convention facility.

Rooms at BLT are very nice. I'm not crazy about the living room, but I like the rest of it. Especially the master bathroom with the jacuzzi tub and seperate shower. Heck I wish I had that bathroom at home!
