Well, I'd like to hear your opinions on George W. Bush. I'm not good with politics, so I don't necessarily have an opinion about the president. However, I am a Republican and am extremely patriotic. Well, anyway, what are your thoughts?

i seriously think that if bush didnt get elected, then 9/11 never would've happened. i think the reason 9/11 happened was bc bush's dad went over to iraq and started a war but never finished it so the iraqs' just wanted to finish and why not finish by destroying the country with a new leader?!? :confused3 (the leader who is bush sr.'s son) then see how they like it that someone comes to destroy their country. :sad2: if al gore would've been elected, we wouldn't have idiots in the white house screwing up "our home". :furious: that's just my opinion.......

So, you're saying that 9/11 happened because of the president's last name? That isn't his fault! I don't like people that blame 9/11 on him. It was the people that looked at the radar of planes and said, "Ah, it's probably just a glitch. We'll be okay." In the words of Carlos Mencia, DEE DEE DEE!!!!! Had they took that seriously, they would've been able to scramble and shoot them planes down before they attacked New York and the Pentagon. No offense, but it would've been better to loose three plane's worth of people rather that the thousands we lost when the planes hit. Don't get me wrong. I may not have had any friends or relatives die in those events, but I was still very sad. I thought that 9/11 was a devastating and sad day, but it was in 2001!!!!!!! It's 2006!!!!!! I've moved on! No offense again, but I don't want to remember 9/11 because when they talk about it on the news and other stuff, it breeds anger and fear that it can happen again. I'm not going to walk around in fear.

Ummm... You do know that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. right?

Do you seriously believe that? I am pretty sure that they had been planning 9/11 long before Bush became president. Like during the Clinton administration. I have heard even the Bush bashers, the double B's say that Bush handled 9/11 extremely well.

no its not bc of his last name........its bc the iraqs' were mad a bush sr. for coming in and starting war so they wanted to finsih it and why not on his son since he's americas new leader.

he's screwed up our country and I feel sincerely bad for our next president, who's going to have to clean up the mess he leaves behind

that's just my opinion

me neither considering i'm going to wdw on 9/11

Well, I don't like some people's attitude about the war. If you look back, when we were attacked, everybody was on Bush's side. We were all like, "YEAH!! Let's kick some a#^!!" ....Later......"Oh, it's gonna last longer than a week. Oh, and people are dying. We can't have that." :furious: I hate that! It has been a long time, but we have made progress in the war against terrorism. We've caught or killed many top terror suspects, including what happened just recently!

But, why are we in Iraq? I'll admit. It is questionable. In my opinion, it is wrong that Saddam was terrorizing his own people and his people were living out of fear. We invaded and searched for weapons. Just because we didn't find the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq doesn't mean they aren't there or Saddam isn't keeping them somewhere else. Then, we caught him! Probably the best day of my life. Waking up, turning on the news, "Ladies and gentlemen, WE GOT HIM!!" Now, we are training the Iraqi soldiers to fend for themselves against terrorism. Bush is right. We have to be patient. IT TAKES TIME PEOPLE!!!!

When it comes to gas prices, they don't have to be this high. On top of the high oil prices, it is also the gas companies price-gouging all the time! I live near a BP that was on the Cincinnati news last summer for price-gouging. They had regular gas for $3.49/gallon while Ameristop had it for $3.19/gallon right across the street! And recently, they talked about the CEO of BP getting his multi-million dollar bonus. That ticked me off. Well, this is all my opinion.

George Bush sucks. I'm not going to blame 9/11 on him, and I'm not going to say he didn't handle it well, because he did. But Iraq is a mistake. I say 'is' because people are still dying. The evidence told us that Saddam didn't have weapons, and we attacked anyway saying he did. Years later, no weapons. Bush mislead us. There is a reason that 30% like him. what more, is that he is a republican shoving down his party's religious agenda down our throats. He is the one pushing for a Federal ban on gay marriage. He, along with his party, is trying to violate the civil rights of a large group of people.

i know! gas prices are rediculous. they come up with stupid reasons on why they're high. as a matter of fact, a couple weeks ago it was being of something to do with a small town in south africa. what the heck does south africa have to do with the usa????? now when it is high around holidays, its normal bc ppl travel and its and easy way for $$$$$. another exceptional time was when hurricane katrina hit bc it destroyed some gas "factories" that were in or near the ocean........those times are okay but if gas goes up just bc, it makes MANY ppl unhappy. yet the gas companies still make loads of $$$$$ bc ppl need it or they can't go anywhere and its really becoming a HUGE impact on $$$$$ these days. :moped: :moped: :drive: :drive: :car: :car:

Another thing. It's Bush's fault all those people drowned in Katrina. He, like most Republicans, doesn't care about black America and just left them to die while all the white people got out allright.

He wasn't taking any chances. I respect that.
When it comes to the next president, I don't know who would be a good one. I don't like democrat politicians (hate is too strong of a word.) But, if any democrat, please let it be Al Gore and not Hillary Clinton or John Kerry. If another republican, I don't see anything wrong with Condalisa Rice. I don't know of any republicans who would enlist to run come the next election. Anyone but Dick Cheney. I'll admit that when I heard on the news that he had shot his friend, I thought I would never stop laughing. :lmao: (Sorry to the friend, whoever he is.)

Do you have any idea how gas works? We import gas from all over the world. Like that time at Katrina, there may have been an accident that may have caused a price flux.
There have been rumors that the wmd's were transported out before we came in. I know it is just a rumor, but there was also this top ranking general in the Iraqi Army who said he saw them with his own eyes and corroborated this story. Who knows, I am just glad there is one less egomaniacal pyshco out there.

I'd like to clear a few things for you...

Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Neither did Afganistan as a country. 9/11 was being planned long before Bush was president, and it was Osama Bin Laden and his group doing it. It wasn't one country.

As for gas prices, we are kind of at fault for that. Sure oil is really really expensive, but at the same time, we are griping about these high gas prices, while we are driving around these big huge SUVs and whatnot. It's all about supply and demand. We are demanding more and more oil, hence gas prices are going up. If we all drove say, a prius or a focus or something, gas prices would go down. I almost guarentee it.

As for war with Iraq, I don't think that there were WMDs. Ever. I do believe that the US Government believed they did though, and I think we were too gun-ho at the time, and invaded despide UN weapons inspectors finding anything. Don't get me wrong, I think it was the right thing to do, but I think we did it under the wrong idea and gameplan.

As for my personal opinion on Bush, I hate him with a passion. It's not just him, it's congress as well. Under the Bush administration, we have gone into two wars, and we almost went into a third. Our Economy has gone down the drain. The number of jobs we are losing to businesses moving out of the country is ridiculous. Immigration has become a huge problem. We are in a 9 TRILLION dollar debt. Fraud has run amuck. More businesses have declaired bankruptcy during his time as president than ever before. I mean, I could go on and on about how stupid this guy is. Derrrrrr.

And to go on with the Bush insults, who says W dubya?!

Thanks to Bush, we can kiss important problems goob-bye, and say hello to problems that aren't of the utmost importance... Exp: IMMIGRATION Without immigration, where would we have our relatively cheap US products? Some immigrants are desperate and will work for little pay. And how do i know? Heck, my parents are immigrants!

Bush ought to be impeached... in recent polls and surveys, over half the people said Bush sucked or didn't care... Compare that to a 60% or so wishing Clinton was still president!

In short, are we failing as a country under Bush? Possibly. Do we have the power to stop it? Heck yeah! Are we going to? No, Congress and the Senate are too corrupetd by power and wealth to listen to our "unimportant pleas".

Please, don't flatter all the people sneaking in from Mexico by calling them Immigrants. There is a difference between Illegal immigrant, and immigrant.

And don't get me wrong, I don't hate all illegal immigrants, I just hate the ones who come here and complain saying that they should have rights just like every other American. They have about as much rights as Americans as I would a Canadian if I immigrated there.
