Day 2
Didnt sleep well last night. Spent most of the night feeling sick, happens every year. Got up at 8.15am and we got ready to go to Typhoon Lagoon. We walked across to the food court and then got the bus at South Depot, we only waited 5 minutes and were at Typhoon Lagoon in no time. Port Orleans is really close to Downtown Disney.
Got into Typhoon Lagoon without any problems with the annual pass, got all the lights out first time on the finger machine thing. Took us a while to find somewhere to leave our stuff. The shaded loungers beside the wave pool were all gone and I refused to be beside thick bushes incase of snakes. Eventually found two loungers in the shade. Left all our belongings on the loungers. Went to the wave pool first, I love the wave pool here, its the best. Next we headed to the lazy river, Tricia got in her tube without any problems which has to be a first. I was a nervous wreck in here looking for snakes. I had been reading a post on snakes in the water parks on the DIS before I left home and it kept coming back to me. Didnt see any, or if I did I thought they were branches. Did some of the slides which were okay. I prefer the slides at Blizzard Beach. I love the theming of Typhoon Lagoon and the wave pool but Blizzard Beach wins hands down for the slides. Went back to the wave pool for some more body surfing then got iced drinks and returned to the sun loungers. I managed to knock my strawberry ice drink all over my beach towel. It turned a lovely shade of pink. Listened to music for a while and then we returned to Port Orleans where I bought a new beach towel.
Once back at the resort I tried fixing my hair but as soon as I stepped out the door it doubled in size, humidity and my hair are not a good combination so it was tied up again and covered with a hat. While I was dealing with my humidity hair Tricia discovered her VISA card was still in her purse and had been left on the lounger at Typhoon Lagoon. OOPS!!! Walked over to Guest Services to buy tickets for tomorrows E-night.
Jumped on a bus and headed to Animal Kingdom. Went round to Dinoland and had a McDonalds. I had only had cereal today and felt much better once I had eaten this. Went to see the Lion King show. This was the first I had seen it since they enclosed the theatre and it definitely makes the theatre more comfortable. I love this show and would pay to get into Animal Kingdom to see this alone. At the end of the show we sat until most people had left rather than stand in the people jam. Made getting out easy. A woman a few rows in front of us appeared to be feeling the effects of the sun, she looked ready to pass out, CM was sent to get her water and cold wet towels. Headed to Asia next and we saw the roller coaster they are constructing, looks cool. Went to see the Tigers and were surprised to see they were walking about. A couple of them were playing in the water and another was stepping from wall to wall over the staircase. Spent ages watching them, every time we have seen them they have been asleep.
Left Animal Kingdom approx 5.45pm to go to MGM. We got a bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge as we havent been there before. Bus came straight away. Had a look around and went out to the animal viewing area but never saw any animals, they must have been hiding somewhere in the shade. After a look around we got the bus to MGM. Once we were in (Tricia had problems getting the lights to go out on the finger thing for her AP) we got a show time guide and then went to Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, great as always. I was starting to feel sick again, think it was due to lack of sleep so we decided to leave as I wanted to be in tip top condition for tomorrow. Had a look in the shops as we left and then got bus back to resort. I think I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. Tricia watched some TV then she went to bed.
Tomorrow: Clearwater and E-night.
