is that each milestone seems HUGE!

We booked at 400+ days, hit the 400 milestone and today marks 300 days. Time is FLYING by now. :hyper:

You did hit a milestone today:cool:

I know the feeling. We booked our cruise 500+ days:hyper:

Beat you both!:p

I booked at 600+

Actually I was over 800 when we decided to go to Disney in Oct. 05, but didn't decide to book our cruise until a few months ago. At least we were able to get those Secret Porthole rooms we wanted (3of them)

I agree with you Masonpips! There's something about the long awaited trip.... the anticipation, the planning, etc. It was the same for our WDW trips -and so far I don't feel any different for our cruise. Don't get me wrong- we had fun on all our WDW trips but the first one was so spur of the moment.... didn't know diddly about what all there was to do, how to save money, how to stay onsite without spending a fortune, etc. Our 2nd trip was planned for almost a year and was SO much better in so many ways... and we really didn't think it could get better than the first trip!

Started at just over 400 days on the cruise... and working my way to 300 days. Woohoo!

Well, I feel like I've been between 151 and 148 days for at least 6 weeks!!! Time is just D R A G G i n n n n n g.

...to say nothing of the opportunity to save, save, save to pay for it all!

I booked for 31 March 2005, but have yet to start the countdown clock, primarily because I'm too lazy to do the math and want to wait until 31 March 2004 so that it will be 365 (or because this is a leap year, will it be 366...)

see what I mean?

::yes::

You do not have to do any math to start a countdown timer. It just asks you to put in the date and departure time and it does it all for you. Pretty cool. Go to the tech board and click on the get your countdown timer thread its simple and fun.:D

Another great thing about booking early is the fact that you save so much money! My sailing has already went up $200 since I booked in Dec. I cant imagine how much it will have went up by the time the date comes around. I feel like i'm getting more for my money this way also because the anticipation and knowing for sure when Im going is worth money to me. And cant forget as mentioned earlier you have a long time to save for it. By the time I cruise I will have everything saved up and paid for including excursion, tips, drinks etc. I wont have to feel like im paying a penny while im on the ship, that will be much more relaxing for me. Last time was only a few months out so most of the cruise came out of our savings account, I didn't like that at all. This time no worries! :Pinkbounc

I always plan our trips at least one year in advance. Our Disney Cruise was planned about two years in advance (check the countdown). It also helps you read up and be prepared for whatever your destination is.

Ohh Okay!!!! I am glad I have lots of company for booking that far in advanced!!! 665 days.... only 36 days left !!!

:bounce:

I booked our cruise in Aug 2003 and the fare has gone up by $1200 through the TA and the DCL price is $2200 more!!! It really does pay to book early. We only have 8 months to go!

how do you book so far in advance? I thought you could only book once the sailing dates were released? I know you can book at WDW Resorts any time...is DCL the same?

...'cause if it is, look out Christmas 2010!!! We're Cruisin'!!:boat:

;) ;)

I thought only sailings through 4/05 were currently available?
How can I book 6/05?

Thanks-
Donna

You can book through to December, 2005...but the only 10 day Christmas Cruise available is the Dec2004.

Unless everybody booked as soon as the sailing dates through Dec 2005 were released...???

If this is the case, anyone got a crystal ball for when 2006 rates will be released...most likely this summer?

Doesn't take much to confuse me...this is why I love DVC - we've got trips planned to 2007:earseek: :earseek:

Love playing with dates!:D
