The really BIG problem with dinner on the Wish Class ships

I'm not sure what ship some of you people are talking about but we thoroughly enjoyed all 3 dining locations on the Wish. The food wasn't delayed and it wasn't cold. As a matter of fact I kind of felt that I didn't get a chance to finish one thing before they're bringing something else out to me.

overall poor designs on Wish class ships kitchen placement… but stubborn leadership at Disney right now refuses to course correct …
If this is a design flaw, and I'm not convinced it is, then how would it be corrected? Major renovations to the ship's interior spaces?

Wait? The wish class does have smaller dining venues. They literally have 5 venues instead of 3. Only the dinner show restaurants are as big as the dream/magic class. Its the dream and magic class that have bigger venues. You cant claim the venues are too big when most of them are way smaller.
How does the Wish have 5 venues? Are we counting the split sides of a resturant a different venue? Or are we adding in Enchante and Palo (Dream\Fantasy has Palo and Remy)?

I have only sailed on the Treasure and the Wish, but we had fantastic, quick dinner service on the Treasure on a full summer sailing (early dining, 4 people), and very slow service on the Wish on a relatively empty one in November (late dining, 2 people).

This. I could see 4 if you count the 2 sides of 1923 as separate MDRs, but I am not seeing where the poster got 5.

The post was about the restaurant rooms being two big. From that perspective marvel is two restaurants half the size of the theatre restaurant and restaurants on the older ships. And so is walt and roys which literally have two different names.

Isnt one of the complaints about wish class ships is the restaurants are too small. Now we have a complaint they are too big?

I don't see anyone who complained the Wish class MDRs were too big (unless I missed something). The complaint was that the ships themselves were too big.

I’m currently on the Destiny and the service is great. My worst experiences service wise have all been on the Dream - 3/5 cruises were poor.

The main issue that the Wish class have is that the dining rooms are too small and tables are crammed together. I feel so bad for the servers trying to squeeze.

In post 15 the op literally says they want the wish class restaurants to be smaller and more intimate. Even though 2 out of the 3 restaurant rotations are half the size of the dream class restaurants which they love.

So to summarise, the really big problem with the wish class ships is they are well themed and have good entertainment which means everyone goes so they get crowded and service is slow.

Whereas the dream class ships restaurants are great cos they are poorly themed, falling apart and boring so lots of people skip them making them uncrowded and service fast

I think i prefer experience over speed of service. especially since I noticed no difference in service speed on the wish class anyway so Im not sure its even accurate.

Ah, I see. I didn't take that comment as a complaint that the MDRs were too big, necessarily. More than 4 MDRs might alleviate some of the issues-and if there were 4 then the MDRs would be smaller. But I didn't take it as a complaint the current ones are too big.

To be clear, there are still only 3 MDRs on Wish Class. It's just that 1923 is divided into 2 sides.

Yes, I know. I was referring to a comment OP made (in reply to PP) that if there were 4 MDRs they could be more intimate and also alleviate some of the issues.

What do you think it is?
I have no knowledge of how the interior of the ships are laid out so I don't assume that the Wish class ships have their kitchens further from the tables than the other class ships.

Didn't see anyone say that. They are not falling apart, and IMHO still have excellent themeing.
When i was on the fantasy 5 months ago those restaurants were definately falling apart. A third of the screens in animators werent working. The lighting effects in enchanted garden were on C mode with many not working at all (not that they are any good anyway). Floors and tables had marks on them. Maybe, hopefully, the dry dock has fixed these up.

No entertainment outside the animators screened shows. And talking with crush is so awful no one even bothers to pay attention to it anymore. The rotational restaurants are the weakest part of the dream class and just dont stand up to the magic class let alone the wish class. They need to be redone to ever get us sailing dream class again. Animators needs to replace crush with something else and atleast one of the others needs to be completely gutted from floor to ceiling and replaced with a completely new concept.

I've been on the Dream-class ships more than any others, by far, and I've never once seen the EG lighting effects work.
