Cake was from Harris Teeter -- YUM!! I love their icing. It was a marble cake.

Bryers Vanilla/Chocolate ice cream

Tablecloth is Mickey and friends.

I hope that you realize that you will be meeting a "Pooh" in 15 days.

I know I can't wait!! I'm actually trying to find a place to stay in OCNJ...the more I think about travelling to/from the beach during the day and then again at night, it just isn't making sense for me. Parking alone is going to cost $10 each time (my parents said once you leave, you have to pay again to get back in).

I'm not having much luck in finding a place that isn't twice as expensive as the one we have now about 10 miles outside OCNJ...Sigh...don't these people know that I want a room for less than $100 night in the middle of peak season!!!

He was complaining that the sun was in his eyes ... that's my nephew (10)...ever since he turned 10 in June he's been very pouty.

I know I can't wait!! How rude of these people? they need to give you priority and give you a room under $100 a night! That's the one thiing in OC you have to pay the parking all the time as it's very hard to find a good place to park where its free, if not impossible. Plus you have to buy beach tags too.

That looks delicious, what exactly is it? I see blueberries and strawberries, is that slices of watermelon too? Is there cake involved? come on tell me.

Also a few blackberries in the center from my yard. I was bummed we didn't have any more but I had just picked them for my berry pie. Yes, that's watermelon. The dish is only fruit.

Then we had make your own sandwiches -- 2 kinds of turkey, roast beef, ham and sandwich pepperoni, lettuce, 3 kinds of cheese (swiss, cooper, provolone), 3 kinds of bread, tomatoes from my dad's garden, cucumbers, 2 kinds of pickles, condiments. It was great! I hadn't had a sandwich in a long time so I guess I enjoyed it more.

It all sounds delicious, especially the fruit tray. That looked lovely, looked like a cake the way you had it set up. Very creative!!!!

i lifted a box earlier and my knee kinda locked and was really really painful and now I have been sitting here and all the sudden *POP* OWWW my right knee wont move.....


frikkin ow...

and guess who's hobbling around on crutches and in a kne brace.... hopefully I wake up tomorrow and all is well..

Ocean City was always like that. If you are going to be there all week in the long run it is cheaper to buy beach tags by the week instead of the day. They do sock it to you there for everything. I used to go to Wildwood all the time, free beaches and we always parked in the lot at 22nd street near the boardwalk and it was great, they also had showers and a changing place there so it was worth the money. But you'll have fun in OceanCity in spite of all the costs involved.

You poor thing, that's painful. Put some ice on it to take the swelling out. Then sit with it propped up comfortably for a while and hopefully tomorrow it will have eased up some.
