DS spent $200, most of it at the Lego Store. It ticked DH off but I know we discussed him spending that much since I hadn't let him buy anything with his allowance in months. Even DD bought a $60 Princess Castle at the Lego Store. I also made them buy their own autograph books and stuff. I worked my butt off for them to earn the yard sale money there was no way I was picking up the check on anything but food and we bought each of them a t-shirt since I really didn't have room to add an extra outfit for everyone when we found out we were staying an extra night.

I bet your kids had a blast in the lego store. We never made it there with ds.

After spending over an hr in the Potato store and finally getting him out of there, we didn't want to go thru that torture again in the lego store...

So...question...since you missed your connecting flight, thru no fault of yours, but the airlines fault, why did you have to pay for your hotel stay that night? Did you get anything for your inconvenience, like a free ticket, food vouchers, anything?

The sad thing is I still haven't added up all the totals. We deposited the kid's money from the first night and I just need to add everything up (including the Disney receipts) to know how much they owe us! I know DS had at least $100 from the yard sale. I finally just cashed a $20 check last night that a lady wrote for some of his Rescue Heroes toys. She bought $40 worth but only had $20 cash with her. I made sure to take the check to her bank so we wouldn't end up with any fees in case it bounced.

Good THinking...I would have been leary taking a check from stranger...

We rented Happily Never After from Netflix and it is horrible...

Going to mail it back on monday and get the Devil Wears Prada...hope that is better

OH man, I would have threw a fit and when I got home, I would have wrote a letter to corporte...you really deserve some kind of comp....crazy!!!!


I guess not too big of a fit, as I wouldn't have wanted to be hauled off by the cops...

Off topic- I've never really told anyone here about the full me. If you want to hear than cool! Im a quitter, what can I say, when the going get tough I quit. I've had a hard life, but what does it matter, tragedy after tragedy...this act is getting old. 2x cancer for mom, 3x for dad. I guess you can say life is unfair. Having to wonder when someones going to die hurts. Im not going to get emotional...so move on. Life lesson-nothing is what it seems.

DH tried to throw a fit but he was in line with at least a hundred other people throwing fits so they really weren't having that. He acted like he was going to complain on the computer when we got back but I think he lost his edge by that time and was just glad to be home.
