~ The Real Housewives of Orange County ~ Season 12~ 2017 ~ JULY 10th

I'm curious about the men. Slade is unemployed, Frank is a contractor who doesn't have any work because of the economy, Simon has a business selling tequila and Jim has an online business selling pool tables and/or some kind of a pawn shop thing. Is any of that right? And what does Donn do?

Me too. I have NO idea what Donn does, hmmmmm...will go poke around and see what I can find.

But this is what I do know about the other guys...

Simon used to sell cars for some high-end car dealership in the OC-area, but now has some "tequila import business". Some DIS'er remembered Simon from when they bought a car from him back in the day and didn't seem too impressed.

Frank has been sued more times over the past year or so than I can remember - he used to be in some type of construction and seems to be broke (except with credit...I wonder if that BMW Lynn & Frank got for the one daughter has been re-possessed yet?). They have been sued by almost every landlord the famil has had over the past year or so because they leave their homes in such awful shape, I think there is a $1million+ judgement against Lynn/Frank from last year and a bench warrant was issued for their arrest.

DimJim no longer has any part of the "multi-million dollar online pool-table business" that Alexis boasted about (he lost that to involuntary forfeiture back in December 2008). The part of Bellino's so-called business empire (:lmao:) that I am intrigued by and that I have been unable to find any traces of is his 'pawn "loan"' business. And we all know how well the house-flipping business has been going recently...

Slade is a dead-beat dad who apparently owes $80,000 in child support, some of which would go to help his cancer-stricken son. He claims poverty.

Okay, I'm back! This is what I could find out about Donn.

Donn Gunvalson is apparently an executive at a shipping company, "Director of Sourcing-Commodities" at White Cap Construction Supply, but a lot of the citations on the Internet repeat the same boilerplate.

EWWWWWWW, I don't know if I can stand to watch *this*...
Tamra Barney will appear as a guest on Season 2 of Top Chef Masters

I figured out the ring-thing with Slade. He probably made Jo give back her ring and he'll use it to give to Gretchen. That is... unless he sold it.

I wonder if the men get anything for appearing on the show, or the kids for that matter.

What got me most about this episode was Lynne telling Frank "I wont' let you make me a victim". WTH was that about? How is SHE the victim when she spends all the money? And then she said "I'm finally starting to make money on my business". Soooooo....when your husband was paying for everything and you didn't make a dime to contribute that was ok, but now that he needs your help he's making you a victim? :sad2: SMH.

What.
The.
Hell?

The fighting.
The praying.

Am I watching Housewives or 700 club?

Ducky is going to be on Watch What Happens!

Boy, alexis is a total hypocrit to the fullest extent! Either be the christian woman you're claiming to be or forget it. She drives me nuts!!!! :headache:

As for vicki, she does have tons on her plate with briana's illness, working, her marriage ect so i'm not surrprised that she has gone over the edge with alexis. i like vicki, so i may be more biased towards her.

as for the other girls, hope lynne and frank can ammend their marriage, tamra and simon do what needs to be done and gretchen needs to make up her mind.

I do give Vicki some slack because of all the things she is going through, but then again she is always dishing out some harsh words for the other girls and when someone told her something, she just freaks out and leaves dramatically while acting innocent and that out of the blue all of the other girls are bashing her, tsk please. The girls did call her out on how she talks to the others and it went bad because she didn't simply listen and understand what they were saying.I am not saying they were right but she could have at least gave them a chance to say their peace. She turned the whole thing around like "Poor Vicki" when she has her share in the trouble. The thing is, some of the things that the other girls were saying was true but at that moment it was the wrong time to talk to Vicki about that. It's like all the stress that she goes through just cumulated (sp) in that one moment at San Francisco.
The only one who was actually mature at the the table was Brianna. I agree that Alexis bugs. Did anyone feel a little bit uneasy when her husband mentioned her breasts in front of the reverend?

I lived in Gainesville,Ga for about 15 years. Her pastor Jenzen Franklin is from there.

He runs the Free Chapel Church there. Apparently it is still there and they also have another chapter in Orange County. www.freechapel.org

That curch was known around town as a cult. They would talk in tounges and all kinds of wierd stuff.

As far as Vickie goes, in the past seasons it has been her ganging up on the underdog. And now that the tables are turned she can not handle it and it is not fun anymore.

I personally loved Gretchens father when he said i just stepped in a pile of Slade.:rotfl2:

I think that is a really good interpretation of Vicki's situation.

:thumbsup2
I like her Viki too, but I can't imagine how much work it must be to be her friend! She is soooo insecure!! Honestly sometimes I think my 4 year old is more secure. He doesn't cry if he loses chutes and ladders, I think Viki would storm out of the room balling.
I would hope in the same situation I would respond with "Oh! I'm so sorry I offended you. I was upset, and didn't think about how what I said would come across. I didn't mean to imply your husbands don't work. So sorry!"
Why sit there and defend yourself to a bunch of crazy people? Just say something to make them be quiet and go back to your successful job, marriage, children, and lovely home that's not in foreclosure!

I think they all have issues, however, Lynn really gets me. :confused3

She's cringeworthy to watch: She's a not a good mom, because she's trying to be her daughter's friends. The way she dresses, talks and plays dumb are really sad. I am 40, take care of myself with diet & exercise, and dress fashionably, but she is so over-the-top trying to look like her girls

It's like she still has her high school metality and it's NOT cute anymore.

I feel bad for Frank, you can tell he really wants to keep his family happy. Unfortunately for him, lots and lots of money and shopping trips are all that keep them happy, and it's put them in a big financial hole. I think he was trying to protect them by not disclosing the $ situation, all the while hoping work would start coming in.

I hope they can work things out, but I would LOVE to see a Suze Orman intervention here! :rotfl:

What killed me was when here he is living in a hotel room after he got evicted from his second home in less than a year and he says; "What we need is a family vacation. "

I about fell out of my chair. Seriously, do you really think that a family vacation is what you really need right now? If you can not afford to pay your deposit on your rental home and the last place you lived in is sueing you for damages. A vacation is the last thing that you could afford.

Things I learned from this episode:

* Jesus parted the Red Sea and fed a lot of people
* When you're forced out of your home, have no money, and living in a hotel a family vacation should be your first priority
* Marriage should really have a lease option
* Slade's spandex is fitting a little more snug than it used to :scared:
* Take your 4 year old with you to talk to your friend about why she can't get along with your husband
* Tell your pastor that being beautiful through plastic surgery is a "gift from God" and he'll tell you your beauty (or other parts) will open up people's hearts (or wallets).
* A lunch on a vacation that you all have to be on together is a perfect time to bring up issues. And if said person you have issues with gets up and leaves continue to say said issues to the next of kin, however uncomfortable you may be making them.

I learned a lot.

Well put. These women are crazy. I wonder if they watch the show and what their thoughts are about the way they are portrayed. Do they realize how bizarre the things are that come out of their mouths? Or do they think the show is edited badly and they are made to look awful?

I just felt plain sorry for the people sitting at the next tables in the restaurant! Ladies arguing and crying then praying! I do agree with Vicki..this show is just not as fun anymore. It almost like they set the ladies up!:happytv:

Yes, very dumb suggestion by Frank. I think he's feeling like loopy Lynn might leave him and his desperation is showing! :sad2:

I am so over the whole show. It isn't fun, it isn't escapism and I think it should just be cancelled. Every time I watch it I feel like I need to wash my mind out with soap.

The only reason we watch it anymore is because one of my DD's teachers is a fan and sometimes it gets discussed in class.
