Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone has ever bought the generic, payless shoes, crocs, instead of the "real" crocs you get at the mall?? They are way less money, look the exact same as the others..
Anyone have the payless ones, how do they feel at Disney, comfortable??
Just trying to figure out if they would work as well as the real ones..
Thanks!

I have both and in my opinion the real Crocs are more comfortable. The Crocs sort of mold to fit your feet after wearing them awhile. But the Payless ones don't adapt so aren't as good a fit. I would pay the additonal for real Crocs without thinking twice.

I have the "knockoff" ones from Payless- and they were very comfy at WDW in October! I don't know if there is a big difference between the cheapies and the real thing, though. I plan on getting a pair of Crocs soon, though- lots more funky colors to choose from!! :teeth:

I agree, I have both, and the Payless ones have become my gardening shoes. I don't think they are as comfortable.

Ok, so my next 2 questions.. Where is the cheapest place to order/buy the "real" crocs??
Second, am I the only one that thinks the sizes are HUGE?? I usually wear a 5 womens and when I try them on my fit go half way inside them???
I was told they run big, did anyone else experience this? I know one time I tried a pair on my daughter, and her shoe at the time was like a 9 and it took a size 5 for her foot to fit??
I understand they are to be a little bit lose for comfort, is that true??
Thanks.

I agree with the sizing thing...I take a 7 1/2 and I needed the 6-7. My mom takes an 8 1/2 and the 8-9's were waaay too big, but the 6-7 were a little snug.

The Crocs people say the shoes are not supposed to be snug on your foot. As far as cheaper goes, I would suggest you find a dealer- via the crocs.com web site- and try some on, because each style seems to have different dimensions. Then, search e-bay for cheaper ones. Perhaps a store in your area that sells them will have on sale.

If you have a Gordman's near you, I saw right before Christmas that they were selling their Crocs for $15 a pair. I keep meaning to check in but never seem to remember until I have already driven past.

We started with the cheaper Payless version. I really didn't think my DD would like them/wear them. I was soooo wrong. So now we are going to get a real pair for our trip to Disney. We have just started seeing tie-died ones....

PS--the Payless crocs have circle shaped holes and the real crocs have diamond shaped holes--or vice versa. Ask an 8 year old--they'll know. Also--don't know about real crocs, but you can throw Payless crocs in the wash and they come out totally clean!

The payless crocs are pretty comfy, but no match for the real ones.

I was in Target yesterday and they were putting out summer footwear & sandals and they are selling knock off crocs also! They feel like hard plastic - almost as bad as the ones at Wal-mart!! Wonder if this is the summer they will really become big.

Does anyone have a "preference" as to they style of the crocs?? I looked at their website and I like the Nile and the Beach style. Which is more comfy??

I have three pairs of the Pay-Less crocs. I wore them for 5 days at Universal last August and they were the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn to a theme park. If the real crocs are better, they must be fabulous, but for the money saved, the knock-offs were fine with me.

I tried on both the Crocs and the Payless version. From a "try on" standpoint, I couldn't tell a difference. The differences may come out in long term wear however.

I have both and prefer my crocs. I've had both pairs for about 6 months now and the crocs are in MUCH better condition, and I've worn them far more than the payless ones. I'm not taking the payless version for my trip next week, just my Crocs.

I think the Beach are more comfy than the Niles.

Keep an eye out, I've noticed with all the places selling knock-offs that the stores that sell the real thing will sometimes sell them for $15.

I have the REAL one's and would suggest getting them!!! They are so comfortable it's unreal! Also, I take a normal shoe size of 7 1/2 or 8, and I had to get a 4/5 in the crocs!!!!! SO, try them on BEFORE you buy them!!!

I bought a pair of Crocs today. I usually wear a 10-11, and had to buy the XL (women's size 12-14!!!) because my big toe was touching the front of the large ones and I figured that could become a problem. These babies are HUGE but they are comfy. I now look like Bigfoot!

I bought some knock-offs at Walgreens last spring...$9.99 :) I went looking for the real thing this past weekend and couldn't find them.

You can go to www.crocs.com and enter your zip code. You'll get a list of local carriers.
