I'm not entirely sure this is a Disney movie. Wikipedia says its a Disney film, but IMDB says Disney had only apart in the soundtrack as well as advertising. It also isn't mentioned on IMDB as an upcoming Disney production. I'm genuinely confused

I could have sworn it was a Dreamworks film.

I believe it's a Touchstone production, which is a Disney owned film production for their more adult titles. Nightmare Before Christmas is a Touchstone movie. Actually, Enchanted was originally going to be an R rated movie released under Touchstone.

How are they going to handle the double suicide?
Skip over it and make everything sunshine, rainbows, and puppies. :headache:

I'd stick with IMDB, it's more reliable- anybody can edit Wikipedia.

Gnomeo & Juliet - Animated kids movie based off a Shakespeare play with music by Elton John.

Lion King - Animated kids movie based off a Shakespeare play with music by Elton John.

Hmm...?
I smell copycats.

I always thought Touchstone was completely separate. I'm looking over the list of productions by Touchstone and the only other Disney-related production I see is The Nightmare Before Christmas, where Disney is recognized in being a main producer. So I'm guessing Touchstone maybe owned by Disney but is still seperate, for Gnomeo & Juliet is only slightly affiliated to Disney, but the animation is a different company and everything.

"Touchstone Pictures, established in 1984, is one of several alternate film labels of The Walt Disney Company. Its releases typically feature more mature themes & darker tones than those that are released under the Walt Disney Pictures banner.
Touchstone Pictures is merely a label and does not exist as a separate company: the two companies behind it are the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group and Walt Disney Pictures and Television."

Oh... well I'm glad the Disney company is giving this production to Touchstone. Because I personally am not too excited, though... I wasn't excited for Tangled either, but it was very good. I'm hoping that this "revival" period (they are calling this new period of Disney movies) will bring up some more great surprises.

Winnie the Pooh will be a great film this year!

That sounds very intriguing. Though I'm not fond of the new look of Winnie The Pooh over the old look, especially with that new detective thing they got going, but I was reading an article on the Disney renaissance on how they're not going to use CGI so much anymore, but actual drawn animation, which gives me hope :goodvibes

I really, really, want to see my Disney project become a reality.

~sorry if that sounds self-centered, but who doesn't want to see an idea they love come true?

The new Pooh movie's going to be in handdrawn, and it looks almost EXACTLY like Many Adventures. I can't wait!

We hope your dream comes true, too :goodvibes

I can already tell I'll be a tearful wreck during the new Winnie the Pooh movie.

I was a huge Winnie the Pooh kid. TV show, movies, toys, etc. I'll need to find my stuffed Piglet...and it comes out the summer before senior year. terrifying.

oh gosh. I've started reading the book, and it's already the cutest thing I've ever read.

We hope your dream comes true, too :goodvibes
:goodvibes
thank you!

What is your Disney Project?

In my creative writing class, we're going to work on developing a story to shop to Disney for a film. One of my teacher's daughter's friends helped write Princess & the Frog, so we have a connection.

So it doesn't seem completely impossible.
